Love the deals and everything about the products is great, but the employees will try to scam you. Theyve knowingly overcharged or charged a small-cost extra item that usually would go unnoticed if you didnt check your receipt properly. Ive had this incident with various different cashiers and most of the time if you walk back in after having already paid they know what the problem is and appear to have been aware it was going on. The deals are TOO good to stop shopping here because of this, just check your receipts and beware of this.

I love shopping at the grocery outlet. So many great deals, quality items and good prices. The store is kept tidy and organized, customer service is always on point. It’s one of my favorite stores.

My first grocery outlet experience was at this location, I always had the misconception that they sold stuff other stores didnt want. I recommend purchasing items here that you are ready to consume and not to store away. This location has been revamped since I first visited. Very good deals on almost everything.

Great options for body building/health fiends (protein powders, Collagen, exotic mushrooms, maca, and cacao powder). Not a big frozen section compared to other locations Ive been to. Lots of options from recognizable brands at cheaper prices. Lots of hard kombucha options and seems like a pretty good wine selection. Produce section was a little sad (especially the fresh mushrooms). I was here later at night near closing which could be why.

Youll see good deals but some items are still cheaper somewhere else. I cant complain when i walked down pets aisle, i found great deals esp for bundled items.food wise, it is indeed a bargain market 😉.. just always check for the expiration date 😂

This should be your first stop when shopping for groceries. The selection isnt great, but Tlthe everyday essentials are always in stock for a fantastic price. Walking around the store youll find interesting and unique products at a deep discount. If you see something interesting, buy it! You probably wont ever see it again at that price. I can usually get everything on my list in one stop here, if not 90%.

Never crowded and find good deals

You will find brand name products at a discount prices, but most of them are near their best if used by date, dry food will last for some months, and cold foods you can freeze them for longer lasting. If you plan your purchase you will save some money.

Always great food at lower prices

This places always has some good food items from frozen dinners to some sort of ice cream. The food choices can change weekly so if you see something you like, make sure to grab it.The fruit section is limited and sometimes the quality of the apples and oranges are just okay. But if youre looking for canned foods or sauces, this place has a lot to choose from.

4 stars because you are essential and are risking your health during covid, but Im not going to lie... Im quite upset! My husband has no vices other than his Japanese peanut addiction. He is a hard working man and deserves every peanut in that little bag. Before the pandemic they were 4 for $1. Now, they are 3 for $1. Thats hyperinflation. 25% increase in price! If I raised my prices by 25%, Id be accused of taking advantage of the vulnerable, during their time of need. Well, we are the vulnerable and in need of peanuts for protein and need to calm our nerves with their crunchiness, during this time of uncertainty. So, please consider bringing back the 4 for $1 price and Ill edit this review and once again sing your praises. This will also bring peace to our home as we would be able to each take two bags, instead of taking one each and fighting for the third bag. Stay safe and reasonable, please.

Great place to avoid crowds. They got everything I need. Fruit, veggies, all the frozen dinners you can think of, I even bought smoked alaskan salmon the other day. Some things they only have them once or twice, and the prices are right. Discovered it by accident, a very fortunate accident.

Went in looking for some pastry but didnt see what I was looking for but I did purchase two bananas and left.I buy my ice from Dixieline Lumber which Is next door and use it to keep myself and my milk cold during the day and night. A 7lb bag of ice at Dixieline Lumber is only 99¢ which is a good price for ice. Never seen ice for less.

Was looking for some pastry for snacks but I didnt find anything that tickled my fancy. They had a gallon of purified drinking water for 89¢, I purchased it after not finding suitable pastry.

On the road to Walmart today 03/07/20 in the am, I noticed an employee (his description became clear as I came closer -- was wearing the grocery outlet vest, about 58, semi-bald) standing by a bush near the road. This guy had just finished doing his business, zips up his pants, wipes his hands on his shirt, and was heading back to work. This is a forewarning for those of you who want to shop here.

Biggest one in south bay.

This particular Grocery Outlet used to be a much better store, however the previous owners sold this store off, and the new owners immediately began rising the prices. All of the friendly staff from this location that we had gotten to know over the years all left this store, either transferring to the Downtown San Diego Location, or they just quit.The staff that replaced them all seem bothered or annoyed by customers, and if you are looking for something, dont bother asking them, they dont know or they dont care.Speaking of NOT caring, on August 3rd 2018, my wife was doing her routine shopping at this store. A terrible driver drove into the side of our car, and he took off, despite my wife, and witnesses trying to stop him. My wife went inside, and asked if the manager could provide any footage of the driver, and the manager of the store advised her that he didnt have time to look.I called, and left a message for the manager, who I later identified as Rick Leyva. Mr. Leyva apparently didnt have time to return my call either, however he did finally agree to allow my wife to see the footage from the incident, however he was about as pleasant as Freddy Kruger conducting a prostate exam.I attempted to contact Grocery Outlets Public Relations team regarding the matter, and was advised that basically they are all a loose group of independent retailers, so the only thing that they do on a corporate level is take money from the retailers, so that the corporate folks can make the commercials with the puppets, so they hold no power, or are able to do anything about a rude manager or owner of any specific store.In summary, prices tend to be higher at this location, as well as the other store in Chula Vista. Staff seem agitated, likely from being underpaid as well as overworked, and they are not likely to be very kind or helpful, but you MIGHT occasionally find a deal every once and awhile, but not nearly as often as before with the previous owners, which is a shame.

If you dont like waiting in lines and looking for affordable prices this is a great place to shop !

This place rocks! I used to spend $40/day on food for my family. Now its $20-25/day. As long as youre willing to go with the flow of what they have in stock at the time the savings are incredible! I have more food in the house and the little things like protein bars for my son (not such a little thing to him) all for much less than I used to spend before!

One of my main go to grocery stores. They have a great selection of organic items, as well as many plant-based items such as oat milk, dairy-free yogurt, ready meals, dairy free ice cream and snacks.

Nice friendly have different things every time they restock. The only outrages prices is in the produce to high las time I needed limons was in a hurry didnt have another option I paid 75cents per Limon and they werent fresh already old some fruit was going bad and still a high price.
