Super friendly staff. They were more than willing to answer any questions I had. I kind of wish I had purchased my gun here instead of City Arms, but how was I to know? I walked out with lots of accessories and they even threw in a Glock range case. Tightness.

They only got 3 stars for being great for what they have now. Once the store is finished, Im sure theyll be best in the area. Unlike the store in El Cajon, ran by the tiny rude guy with poor service.

I have never been so humiliated in my life, this is my second time coming to this store. The first time I came to this store was to get info on prices, so I had my eyes on the glock 17, I was going to purchase that same day but I was told by a tall white breaded guy that I needed to buy a fishing license to qualify to buy the gun or to go home and get a mortgage statement as proof that I lived in that residence. So I went back today with my mortgage statement and he told me I needed to be a legal U.S citizen to qualify to purchase a gun and I needed to show him proof of citizenship.This is not the first time we have interacted and this was going to be my second hand Gun that I would had owned. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone at all for someone to feel the way I felt that moment was humiliated walking out I have never been racial profiled before. I will never set foot in that store again.

The best customer service and help Ive ever experienced with armory equipment. I read a couple of bad reviews but are totally stupid and wrong. This guys are always helpful and go all the way in helping and explaining as much as possible. Highly recommend for all your gun and rifle needs.

Awesome shop! Walked into the store to learn more about building one of those scary looking AR-15s. I was helped by VJ who was extremely knowledgeable about the process and the ever changing California laws. Would recommend for anyone getting started!

Very customer friendly. Had a little issue with buying Ammo due to being in the military and being in California. They were able to resolve the issue in a respectable way and thanks for your patience. Definitely will come back after the worldwide gun & ammo inflation subside.

Dont bother wasting your time at this store. My wife waited in line patiently for more than 30mins to purchase ammo. Its busy yes but thats not the issue. My wife has always been able to purchase ammo anywhere without any problems. So when she tried to purchase ammo here the worker ask her for two forms of ID. My wife didnt have two forms of ID at that moment. She didnt think to bring two because gun shops never ask for two forms of ID ever! She asked them Is this a new law that just took effect or is it a store policy?. The gentleman behind the counter told her its their store policy. Seriously!! When did they decided to ask customers for two forms of ID? We are already bending over backwards for the state of California and now this store is trying to infringe on our rights too! What a waste of time! Just know because of this incident my wife and I will never go back to this store! And I will recommend all my friends not to go there either. Its just a complete waste of time. She is already in the system. Why cant you just do business like every other gun shops....? But for what its worth my wife said the guy behind the counter was nice and hes just doing his job. So ultimately it just comes down to the store owner. Thank you for wasting our time. Ill spend my money elsewhere. ✌️✌️✌️✌️

The store is overall really great, and workers are really helpful as well. I recently brought my father to look around and Javier was a lot of help to me. He was very clear with everything and was really helpful on explaining things in spanish for my father. If I could I would give Javier a 10 star rating, if you need anything, ask for him. You wont regret it .

My husband and I have been calling for the past 3 months and have not received a phone call back. This store owes my husband a check for over $400. Can’t even leave a voicemail because it’s full. How unprofessional is this. Hopefully you see this review because if you don’t we’ll be suing.

Let me just start by saying that i had a good experience, thrown off but not a bad experience. with this whole covid issue and not being able to see if people are smiling at you or being super serious behind the mask ..... well lets just say i imagine everyone smiling!! reguardless of the eyebrow movement.... but ... i digress! i came in to purchase ammo and was asked for a passport.... (thrown off) my ID does not say federal limits apply so i should be good, but i dont think the guy knew. ok doesnt matter, i have my passport with me..... then im asked to sign a form stating that if my background doesnt pass, they have the right to keep the full amount of my purchase. ok.... RED FLAG! wait what? are you telling me that you will sell me the ammo first... then you will run my background and if i pass i get my ammo, if i dont you keep my ammo and my money!?! not a good practice! i think its ment to scare off any people who think they can go in and purchase ammo and no one will know..... maybe....? or juat a bad practice! all other places i have purchased ammo, i pay the dollar fee for the background after selecting my desired caliber and then i. told yes or no and i pay for my ammo. 1 dollar, i. not going anywhere for 1 dollar. ill give you a five and jeep the change, but.... ive never had a problem with my backgrounds. dont see why i would now, its just a weird practice especially to have a signed sheet stating that we the cuatomer understands that we forfit our money and ammo if the background doesnt pass. that is the only reason i give it a 3 stars and not 5. if i could i would do 3.5. if that paperwork wasnt there to keep my money legally after my purchase and lawyers involved they would get 4 solid stars. if the guy in the counter noticed that my Id didnt have federal limits apply and proceeded like normal i would give this place 5 solid stars! the place has very nice equipment, large selection of parts. the people are friendly, i like the staff. it was just the technicalities. I did notice the we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone and i agree. i wasnt rude or anything, the person was nice and patient. I had a good experience, not great but good! if they allow me back, i will definately be back! with this whole covid thing i hope more stores realize that dmvs arent open to apply for the real ID renewals. so if you are new, dont have real ID, make sure you bring back up paperwork.

Cool store. Grate place to learn more about constantly changing laws in gun control here in California. Hopefully things change here in California... Until then we can count on Unknown Firearms to help us purchase the parts to build are own guns! Thanks guys!

The guys that work here are friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are good and they have a ton of stuff in stock. Street parking right out front can be crowded at times but there is a lot of extra street parking on around the corner of the building so overall there is no issue. Good location with easy access. Open every day 11-7pm so you can go in whenever you have the time, regardless of it a Sunday evening or a Wednesday morning.

Ammo prices are really expensive just 2 boxes of ammo was over $100. I wouldn’t recommend coming for purchases.

Its a very good place to go had a wonderful experience Ive been there several times. The guys are so friendly I even go from time to time just to talk or to ask questions or maybe for advice they never once made me feel like I was a burden or unwelcome I really appreciate it.

Poor service! Came in with some questions and wanted to look at a lower. I asked to see a particular item. He hands me a different item. Just then another man walked in and the salesman completely ignored me and started dealing with the other customer. I waited for a second then turned around and left. He didnt even acknowledge me then!

Gave them a Chance, No more. At the OC gun show they claimed Credit card machine had a glitch after the swiped my card, so I paid them Cash. Next day I got alert CC went through. Called them to fix, they told me to email them. I did, 30 days later no response. I let AMEX deal with them now. Gun society is small thought we look out for each other.

The best place for buying DIY glock and ar15 kits and 80% lower receivers! For about $900 each I made my own glock 17 ghost gun with just a dremmel and a ar15 using a drill press... they have everything you need right there no paperwork no bg check u take everything home and build your own legal ghost gun! (Just cant sell or give away!) I was so happy with the jigs and 80% Lower receivers ... the jigs made it super easy to dremmel the polymer glock handle/receiver and to mill the ar15 lower with the drill press( about $80 at Home Depot) in About a few hours for each.... u will be super happy when u build your OWN firearms!

Finally a place I can go to and not feel dumb being a novice gun owner. Dustin and his crew are very knowledgeable and helpful.

Shady store, dont trust what their employees tell you as far as laws go.. They will tell you what you want to hear to make a sale, even if it is actually illegal.
