This is THE place to get your leather jacket tailored!I was a little worried based on some of the reviews I saw prior to calling them and heading over to their shop, but all that worrying was for nothing. Went simply to have my sleeves shortened and I was fine with having to wait 2 weeks for the end results, but they actually got it done under a week instead. And the best part is that the sleeves still look good as new. Its like as if they never did anything to them at all.As long as you know what you want to have tailored and communicate well, your stuff will definitely be in good hands. Thanks, guys!

They lost a piece of leather during a belt alteration that I specifically requested for them to keep. Instead of trying to look for it, they said it was too close to closing time and that they would check again after the weekend.I specifically requested several times that I needed that piece back when I gave them my item. They seemed completely uninterested in actually looking for it and said it was probably back in a pile somewhere. Mind you, the alteration had only been done several minutes ago. I was the only customer in the store at the time.If you want to feel like a burden as a customer, come here. An awful experience and did not feel valued in any way shape or form. Wouldve been better off trying to cut the leather myself with safety scissors.

Stumbled into it looking for a place to put more holes into (lost a little weight, always good) anyway, the place is RAD, all kinds of awesome stuff. Leather jackets, belts, wallets, patches, they do leather work, belt buckles, tools, pins, helmets. Real cool vibe, nice people. Love it, went back today for more swag.

Ive had a good experience with them. Ive bought a jacket, a vest, and had some patch work done. Recently the zipper on the vest busted and was outside the 30 day guarantee. Tony, the owner, worked with me and gave me what I felt was a fair price for repair when he could have charged full price. The selection of products are huge and Tony seems to care about working with the people who buy from his store.

Love this place, prices are fair and well worth coming out here. They dont have a parking lot, so plan to park on the street. Customer Service is great and the Lady has been working there for years, shes the best and will help you out always.

Asked them to move a snap on a pair of trousers, and to restore an old leather jacket. After 7 weeks, and numerous emails and calls, when I went in to pick up the pants, they werent done. It was a 5-minute job that they then did on the spot. When the jacket came out, only the cuffs and inside lining had been replaced. The leather hadnt been touched at all. Bobby said that it had not been restored, then Tony said it was, when it obviously hadnt been. I could have had a regular tailor repair the lining. I took it there because they said they could nourish and restore the leather. They didnt do any of it. Seven weeks. Seems like they just sell leather, but dont specialize in any way as far as restoration. After a $170 bill, that Tony discounted to $140, Im doing it myself now. Go somewhere else if you need restoration work done.

Off brand Espinozas with the Espinoza price tag. This place used to be the spot if you were a club dude, but ever since Alex left it looks like management went off the rails. Do yourself a favor and find a different alterations spot if youre a club dude looking to get work done on your cut cuz this spot aint it no more.

These guys just saved a $500 Dainese leather motorcycle jacket for me. The zipper had torn away and nobody would touch it. I called these guys and they sounded confident. I rode down to the shop and was greeted with smiles and options. I chose a heavy duty zipper to use with gloves and its great. The end result is a better zipper on my jacket then it came with. Very happy with the service and the leather Tailoring. I will be back and recommend them to others. Thank you SD leather

Incredible assortment of motorcycle and military inspired leather wear with a few fashion choices sprinkled in. Their in house brand (made there) already has a great reputation but they also turned me on to a company called First MFG CO. which has really interesting pieces. I walked away with 3 jackets. All very good quality and fit. I will return eventually for another one....probably sooner than later. Yolanda provided excellent customer service.

I have bought jackets here and been a satisfied customer for years.Recently I was lazy and ordered some motorcycle chaps online (from the A place - NOT from these fine folks) and believed the sizing listed, I waited too long to try them on after the return period, and when I did they didnt fit.SD Leather jacket Factory, altered them by shortening and hemming the length and added a strip to make them wider on the legs. They even put a lining on the back side of the added material that helps make it look like it came that way. All this for what I felt was a very reasonable and fair price.

Large excellent leather shop. Huge selection to purchase new, riding, racing, aviation, fashion. Also repairs, alterations, custom, just about whatever you want they will give expert input and then let you decide. Great customer service, quick turnaround. Not a flashy upscale type shop like in so many other towns. Nice people neighborhood type store.

The hubby wanted to learn to ride a bike. He did, then we came here to buy a leather jacket for him. We have gone back again and again. Also used their repair service. Good service and pretty good leather products and the prices arent that bad compared to another leather place in San Diego.

I went on my lunch break to find a jacket. I had some specifics in mind about how I wanted it to look. I told them what I wanted and they found it in my size in no time at all. That left me with time to shop. Nice place, nice people.

These guys are awesome for motorcycle gear repair! Ive had them replace a couple zippers on jackets and racing leathers and the work is great, turnaround was fast, and the price is superb fair.

Let me start with I purchased a leather jacket, the sleeves were too long. We talked about making them shorter but since they were studded at the wrists we had agreed to make the sleeves shorter at the elbows area since there was a seam there. However, today I picked up my jacket and to my surprise, my jacket didnt have studded wrists anymore. I pointed it out to Mario who was the clerk and seamstress I had spoken to and agreed to fix my jacket. I also mentioned to him that cutting the sleeves at the wrists area to make them shorter was not what we had agreed on. Needles to say I was very disappointed I didnt get the service I wanted for my $200.00 leather jacket. I cannot say I should be more clear as to what exactly I want next time because this is one thing I really worked in to be very clear as to what I wanted. Furthermore, Mario offered to order the studds and put them on my jacket sleeves at the wrists area, well see what it looks like after is all done. I know now that I will have to be very careful to make sure I get the service I need. I will return in 1 week to have my jacket studded, hopefully they do it right this time.

Had to get some hemming and repairs done on my leather chaps. Within 30 minutes of walking in the for Id been measured, hemmed, repaired, paid and back out the door. Staff was super helpful and gave me realistic expectations and information. Ill be shopping there again when Im looking for my next leather item.
