Boston Kitchen Designs is the epitome of worst customer service, ignorant manager and incompetent associates who care the least about what they put their clients through after getting a $1000 retainer. October 2020, we agreed to pay in full to get our kitchen cabinets, $19000 and 10 months later, STILL waiting for it to be finished. Needham Store manager Mary turned out to be pretty awful and irresponsible manager Excuses after excuses; one lie after another. ZERO commitment. Poor communication, zero accountability, zero redemption to make things right for the client. You could be either deaf or serially incompetent to avoid clients after they signed a contract with you. We called multiple times and every time wed get the response from her associates that she is on vacation or with other clients and she wouldnt have the decency to return the call back. Thats a shame if you boast of 30 years of customer service experience and thats what you offer - all it does is endorses her incompetence, unaccountability and discriminatory inclinations towards select client. Why else would you not respond, or take responsibility that you failed and then make it right and get it done. Instead, they never committed to any tinelines and when we raised concern, their cliched response will be - OMG this never happened! Well if this is the first time happening, then dont you want to fix it before it gets worse? Mary decided not to fix it and let it ruin! 30 years of experience and thats what she thought was the right thing to do! Their associate Savvas made now bogus claims about Ultracraft, they defended every negative review about that cabinet line when we were considering working with Boston Kitchen. We signed up because they sounded easy to work with but didnt know of their uniquely malign intention thatd leave us hanging after 10months of patient waiting! The Ultracraft cabinet line is not just over rated but one of the worst quality cabinets in our experience- easy chips, bubbled-up paint and poor finish, to add to that is their stinking customer service. After 12 weeks of wait, we received damaged pieces of cabinets, Boston Kitchen didnt take ANY responsibility and laid the blame on Ultracraft. Then they sent a third party assessor who didnt do anything and provided no report of assessment for 4 weeks. When pushed harder, Boston Kitchen brought Ultracrafts VP Sales on a zoom call, its an eye opener when you share your experience as a client and the VP of Sales Jim responds - I understand you dont want our products anymore, and that is fine with me! Should I call it ignorant or arrogant? I say he is COCKY AF! Mary watched and listened, had nothing to say or apologize! With no solid defence on damages and poor cabinet quality, Ultracraft laid the blame on COVID for their poor crafstmanship, and I am still scratching my head that all Covid gave to these mfgr is more time to focus on the product quality. If you screw up in such low volume on your assembly line, all it does is endorse that you are just a poor quality business and thats what Mary sells herr. When we complained about the damaged cabinets, Boston Kitchens response was - dont worry about these damages, they wont be seen! Brush it off like nothing happened, great job Mary and Savvas! We pushed harder and we were offered credit in lieu of damages, in the meantime our contractor found more issues with cabinet design and Marys incompetence was resurfaced again. This time they offered to throw in the pantry cabinet by applying our own credit! Brilliant move Boston Kitchen! Took 4 months to get that in order with no installation. As our contractor was installing these misaligned cabinets, he pointed out faults in their design. Result: Mary started blaming our contractor this time! Classic low Mary - a 30 year old veteran! It is not even BBB accredited business. Noone should pay this business in full until they finished the work, and thats the lesson learnt for me and for potential clients. Just beware of this corrupt business in Needham! A hell of disappointment!
Great inventory and help. Ask for Mary.
