Ive been using the Needham Oil team over the last year for both delivery of oil and boiler maintenance as well having them do a major A/C installation. I cant say enough good things. First off their customer service is second to no one based on my experience with other local providers. They are extremely prompt and responsive, for example we had an issue with our boiler on a very cold day and they had a service technician come within an hour to assess and correctly fix. Additionally we utilized them to do a two floor A/C install last spring which consisted of both traditional ducts for the second floor/attic and mini-split units on the first floor. Randy did a great job coordinating/managing the project and Chris and Jeff did a tremendous job executing the actual installation. You can tell they took pride in their work and respected their customers as they were very polite, meticulous, clean, and thorough. Its comforting to have found a team/company like Needham Oil to be able to rely on for years to come.

Assessed old cracked oil burner and gave us a competitive quote and installed new, highly efficient Buderus oil burner. Salesman answered all questions, explained operational features and assured us that we didn’t need the bigger boiler quoted by another vendor. Installed hot water feedback loop to increase efficiency. Boiler works beautifully with no need to bleed the radiators as promised. Very happy with maintenance.

Over 7 years ago, we were looking for an oil company to service our needs and update our furnace. We called and spoke with several companies. Basic things about Needham Oil impressed us like answering the phone and answering basic questions. We were frustrated with other companies not being able to speak with a person at all or a person that could answer simple questions. We were also able to speak to a manager whenever we asked.Bottomline, we used them to replace our furnace and our AC system a couple of years late. We use them to service both systems and love the fact that it seems to be the same technician each time they come out. I also love the fact that I do not feel like it is a game with them to get a fair price on our oil delivery.we have had a great experience with them and highly recommend them.

Want to say how much I appreciate the detail shown by Jim during his annual A/C service call. In past years hes caught things that could easily have been missed. This includes a small leak in evaporator that was just inside the warranty period. Also, this year he replaced some rubber bushings that returned our compressor to its previously quiet operation. Jim and the folks at Needham Oil Complete Heating and Cooling, who did our central air install 10 years ago, have been great. And weve enjoyed a decade of hassle free cooling.

Jim found there is fan motor issue last week and he ordered new one to replace it. Rick replaced fan motor and fixed old wires today as well as let me know how to maintain A/C unit during winter time and to keep clean around A/C unit. Jim and Alan have always been great. They put in the time, they explain everything, and they dont run off at 5 oclock. They are conscientious, and once, after talking to me in the middle of the night, Alan re-thought something, called me back, and came to our house at 1:30 AM. Jim arrived mid-afternoon and immediately took care of all if the indoor maintenance including cleaning the grates, installing new filters and the maintenance of the two units. He then proceeded to the maintenance and checkout of the two exterior units . All work was done in a timely fashion and in a very professional manner. Jim has performed our yearly maintenance since we had the air-conditioning units installed and we have experienced only a capacitor replacement in all the time that we have had the units. A job well done in all respects.

Al the technician from Needham Oil was determined to diagnose and solve a very complicated electronic malfunction which prevented our Lenox AC from functioning. After numerous troubleshooting resets he was able to get the system working as before. We are extremely grateful for Al’s persistence And conscientious effort to resolve the issues. I had ductless air conditioning put in last Thursday. Scott was one of the technicians. I could not be happier with the experience. They were very professional. They answered all questions and worked quickly. The entire system was up and running before dinner. I have always said that I love a man who vacuums - well I got two of them. They cleaned as they went along. You wouldnt even know that they had been here, except for the cool air in the three rooms. I would highly recommended Needham Oil and Air and their technicians to anyone interested in putting in a system.

Jim came to our house today to repair our air conditioning. He was knowledgeable and professional, and went so far as to change (and date) the filters on our blowers, which wasnt part of the job. All the customer service people there are so helpful. Just had a question answered in minutes by Jen. Rick came out and serviced our boiler. He was here for hours and explained everything he was doing to us, as well as what to look for and when to call them. Even when I first got the online oil, the man who came out was very helpful explaining things to me. A friend recommended them to me, and I highly recommend them as well.

We used Needham Oil and Gas to replace an outdated oil heating system with a natural gas furnace last Winter. The technician came in an installed the system pretty much by himself since the second technician bumped his head and had to go home. Thus, the entire installation was rushed. They did not connect the AC system and we had to call them back. They connected the AC back to the system but was not done properly and later found out that the AC was leaking but they refuse to fix the issue they had caused. Now we also found that one of the pipes they installed is leaking. What an awful service experience. Will never used them again.

As ever Needham Oil & Air responded promptly to my Saturday call regarding water on the floor around our heater unit. Two weeks earlier I had called to report the problem and needed to be away when the tech arrived to check. He diagnosed a failed expansion tank; ours was finishing its seventh year. He replaced it while I was out. Had I received that techs card Id have filled out a happy review of his service.Two weeks or so later I noticed far less water still dripping from the unit. I called a second time and Jim arrived less than 12 hours later. He diagnosed a poor seat in the expansion valve and explained that such things can happen after a repair as the new tanks bladder expands and contracts a few times. Lest anyone think that the first tech tech should have caught this problem, I suspect that the drip did not show up while he was there. I dont live in such a perfect world and I knew he had squeezed the job in on his busy weekend of on call work.Back to Jim, on his arrival he saw me running a saw in my basement and taught me that the intake unit on our heater ought to be shut off at such times or it would suck in the sawdust. My son works often at our workbench and creates a lot of dust, so I was happy to learn of this problem. When Jim heard that report, he recommended that I install a fresh air intake line and quickly showed me how to do it. I intend to accomplish that task within the week. Then he solved the leak problem. Throughout he was gracious and efficient.
