Tom did a great job showing me exactly what I was looking for in a sleeper sofa. He was very attentive to my opinion and made a point to answer all my questions. It felt like a team effort to reach the best solution for me after considering all the options. It was a fun adventure for me.In addition to the sleeper sofa, I also bought two chairs that will go with the sofa in my living room. Tom was very helpful in pulling together the 3 pieces of furniture to make the perfect combination.I also had some concerns with delivery, since I was moving to the west side of the state next month. Tom efficiently gathered the facts and put together a plan that will work for my circumstances.Bottom line, Tom G gave me a excellent customer experience!

Sales person was great and very efficient, knew the products products and options, with fair pricing.Furniture uses high quality materials with great selection.Unfortunately the store is closing and liquidation company has a lot of unfriendly rules i.e. loss of store warranty, in store credit only, discounted prices are not good, no delivery, worker motivation low, the store did delivery a couple of items to the house and driver told me that the liquidation company took their pension and vacation not exactly fair. I was able to get my furniture from the store but had to go 3 times.Ray

I can honestly say in the past this location has let me down. Given that they are the closest location to my home I figured I would give them one last try. I am so happy I did! The new manager Richard has really turned the place around. He was super helpful and took the time to make us feel welcomed and made me feel like my business was wanted there! If you ever had a doubt about this location, give them a second chance...... it is like a whole new store!

I have bought furniture through art Van previously. Everyone is always patient and so helpful. I just bought a bed this weekend. Again I had a great experience. The salesman was helpful and very knowledgeable. Will definitely be back.

Our experience was perfect. We were looking for a sectional and 2 chairs. We wondered around for a bit to see what was out there. When we finally stopped and started checking out some, a person came up and waited on us. He answered all questions and it was on sale. We also had to get a chair for my dad. He took us to that section but they were too expensive for what we needed. He took us to the bargain area and ended up getting us exactly what we wanted there, and cheaper than expected.Overall 100% satisfied!

If I could rate less than 1 star I would. My wife and I bought a sectional from Art Van. The sales person showed us a couch and we really liked it. We brought it home the sales person ordered us the wrong pieces. While I was putting it together she called them to let them know. The salesperson accused me of not putting it together correctly then he looked at the order and realized his mistake. Worst part is our salesperson talked us into the Lifetime warranty. We bought it and thought it was a good deal. One month later two recliners broke. We called for a service visit and Art Van stated they would not stand by the warranty and wanted us to pay for the repairs. I will never recommend this company to anyone and I will never shop there again.

We went to Art Van looking for new furniture for the new house my wife and I bought. Having rented a house before, we basically needed all-new everything.We were lucky enough to walk in and be approached by Hannah Jeudevine.Hannah was awesome to work with - friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and not pushy. We came in mainly for a bedroom set, but ended up also getting a dining set, sofa and love seat, coffee table and some other odds and ends. This was over multiple trips to the store, and each time Hannah was gracious and helpful.We were very happy with the selection at the store. The prices were reasonable, and the quality of the items was higher than that at other stores we went to.The delivery process was fine too, and the couple items that had damage were replaced within a couple days. The delivery guys were careful not to damage any items or anything in the house despite having to carry several heavy and large items up and down stairs.We are very happy with the entire experience, but really thought Hannah was the star of the show. We will be back with any other needs we have. Thanks!

It was wonderful to see Dale!! He is the ONLY one we want as a salesman. To date, we purchased bedroom sets, couches, a entertainment fireplace a two person leather recliner...weve lost count. Yesterday I purchased a bed, and Dale helped my son choose an amazing dresser.We will always choose Art Van, as long as Dale is there, because he will be a tough act to follow 😊😊

I had a problem with my bed letting off horrible off gasses for over a month. I finally called and asked if I could return the bed and get something different or get a refund.The store manager gave me a call and was so gracious and understanding. I was given three options and they all included waving any fees.I set up an appointment to meet with a store manager to take a look at the sets of beds again, available on the floor. A different store manager met me at the appointment and was very helpful. He even put a package price together for a matching dresser and mirror.Thank you so much for the top notch customer service. I can’t wait for our new bed to be delivered and dresser! I highly recommend this store!

The experience was great!! I was helped immediately, all my questions were answered and I bought the chair I wanted. My husband just went into assisted living that day and I wanted to buy him a lift chair. I didnt have the address to the facility and the salesman looked it up for me. The sales people were great!!

The sales and financial personal was extremely helpful. Did my order over the phone because Im a returning customer. And had no problem. Looked up what I wanted on line and just called them and they took care of me.

What I mostly liked was when I came into the store I wasn’t bombarded by sales people following me around. When I found what I wanted, then I chose the person to help and was greatly pleased by her (Hannah Jeudevine) with her help I picked out material for the couch and pillows. Then we went on looking for a chair and again she helped me find the right one and put the colors together. I’ve been shopping at Art Vans for 25 years and have always had good products. If I had a problem, the service department was there to fix or replace. I’m pleased with my shopping experience.

So staff very friendly. Was told that custom order would be 30 days. Ended up being 6 weeks. Bought Palliser couch and love seat. Picking up order was pretty smooth. Delivery charge was steep so we took care of ourselves because we were only 3 miles away from store. Should have went with the delivery because furniture was very heavy. .

Great experience! My wife & I were looking for some furniture for our recently remodeled basement, and Sam Awwad was very helpful. My wife had a specific style in mind, and he helped us find exactly what we were looking for. He was very kind and informative, and not at all pushy. The rest of the staff was very friendly as well, and the delivery service was great. We love our new couch and dining set, and have already received many compliments. Love my new La-z-boy sectional sofa! I worked with Robert at the chesterfield location on my purchase, he was very informative and patient with the entire process. Our experience in the Chesterfield store was awesome! Lori was the greatest! She allowed us to shop with no worry that we were being followed the entire time! We have been recommending her to all of our family and friends!Now, with that said, the reason I only gave 3 stars was because after the wonderful store experience we had to deal with the warehouse. When we purchased our furniture one piece wasnt in stock, no big deal, we told them we would wait until everything was in to pick it up since we were driving far. So long story short, I was called a few times saying that ALL of my furniture was available for pick up and I double and triple checked to make sure that it was everything. So after talking with them on a few occasions and verifying that everything was ready we scheduled pick up at the Warren warehouse. We drove over an hour to get there to find out that our sofa was still not in! The lady at the desk was zero help and so I called the number and the lady was so rude to me. Mind you, I never raised my voice or was rude in and way, I was frustrated that we drove so long to find out that we had to make another trip. So the lady on the phone said that she couldnt help me and that I would have to call the Chesterfield store. So Chesterfield to the rescue!!!!! I told them what happened and they offered free delivery for the trouble we went through! Chesterfield store and Lori are amazing but the warehouse people need to take a lesson from them and get on the same page! Thank you Chesterfield Art Van and Lori for all of your help!!!!!!!

The purchasing experience was good, but the delivery not so much...any delivery people should carry boot covers. After they left my rug was pretty wet. I would have asked them to remove their boots, but I really didn’t want that either. Also, I could tell they were on a tight schedule...they came in pretty fast, dropped off my mattress and off they went. On the way out I noticed they had taken a chunk out of one of my floor moldings and when I made a comment about it he looked at me, but didn’t say a word...he just ran faster out the door. I was pretty disappointed with the whole thing.

I just had my new sofa delivered yesterday, and they called me ahead of time the day before, then again on delivery day, and delivered it on time like they said they would. The sofa seems to be very well made and sturdy, and the seat cushions and back cushions are nice and firm. The sofa I bought was regularly 500 dollars, on sale for 350 dollars, so I thought that was a great price to pay. I bought the 6 year warranty, which included a lifetime supply of various cleaning fluids...one was wood cleaner, one was leather cleaner, and one was all purpose cleaner, and the kit was included with my warranty purchase. My salesperson told me that if I dont have any claims on my 6 year warranty that they would repay half of what I paid for the warranty after 6 years have passed with no claims, so I thought that was a great deal. I am happy with my purchase, and I think it looks great in my living room.

Had a great experience at Art Van in Chesterfield, MI over the weekend. Sales person Lori Capozzo did a great job helping us out. We initially went shopping for a buffet server for the kitchen, and ended up with a kitchen table and chairs set, a new living room set, the server and some decorative bowls. Lori approached us a minute or two after entering the store and asked if we needed help finding anything, and we stated we were just looking around at the moment. She gave us her name and said to ask if we had any questions. She didnt follow us around or pressure us into looking at anything. We just looked around and shopped at our pace. When we were ready to check out she just asked us what we wanted and explained the purchase and warranty. I think Lori did a wonderful job and would recommend her to anyone who is looking for furniture. We also picked up one of our new pieces at the 14 Mile & Van Dyke warehouse and they did a great job there as well. It was all no hassle!

I purchased a sofa through Art Van located in Chesterfield, MI. The sofa was two pieces, one was available right away and the other piece was special delivery. I requested the piece that was available to be delivered as soon as possible. Too our surprise, the one piece of the sofa was much larger than anticipated (our fault completely). The very next day I called Art Van to return the sofa in its entirety and was told I would be refunded within 3-5 business days. On the fifth business day, I called Art Van to follow as I had not received a refund or a call for them to pick up the one piece of the sofa. I was informed that they had no record of my return and that I would be charged restocking fees as it was past 72 business hours now. The sales associate that was assisting me Sam was extremely rude when I was explaining the situation and would not let me finish speaking. I requested he returned the product with me while I was on the phone and he refused since he had paying customers in the store and stated he would return it when he had time. At this point, I requested to speak to the manager and Sam refused to grant this request. He stated there was only one manager and he didnt know how to transfer from the phone he was talking on. After speaking with Sam and getting nowhere, I called back immediately and spoke with Jolene. The only positive experience during my interactions with Art Van was with Jolene who was able to speak with a manager on my behalf and refunded our purchase on the phone. Unfortunately, I will never be shopping at Art Van due to this experience.

Sam Awwad was extremely polite and gave us ample time to shop. We looked throughout the store with our two daughters & left with a great sale & finance plan so our girls could get their dream beds for working so hard in school. He was knowledgeable and gave us the utmost respect as a customer. 5 star rating for Sam!!! We will be back in the future.

Seriously disorganized. Paid for couch on Friday. Was told to pick up Saturday morning. We and many others were then turned away - not allowing us to pick up furniture we had already paid for. We’ve been told to come back Sunday!! This is crazy! I paid - I want my furniture!! Not happy!!!

I went in there to kill some time and had a lady named Liz Durham help me. I knew I was going to purchase a second bed so I figured I’d shop to see what I was looking for. She ended up giving me a deal because they were set to release new models so I got a half off price and she threw in a nice travel pillow. She also gave me a ride back to the mechanics shop so I didn’t have to walk. Really nice and helpful lady.

My husband and I just moved to the area and were in need of a bed for our son. We worked with Kyle and he was extremely helpful showing us different options and setting up pickup/delivery times and pricing things out so we had all the information available to compare with other stores. We visited a couple other places and returned the same day to complete the purchase. We also got a really neat, floor model, tv stand for a great price! From start to finish I have never had a better experience shopping. Liz was helpful in every way that wasnt pushy and worked so hard to help my daughter and me. Many of our pieces were either on back order or special ordered. As a result we were to wait until January for our remaining pieces to be delivered. Liz watched our order so closely that when pieces came in early she quickly arranged for delivery. She even set up delivery for pieces that I didnt know had arrived as a surprise! It was such a happy moment when everything arrived at once and our new home was complete weeks before it was supposed to be! In addition, the delivery men were incredible! I wish I knew their names, so I could thank them appropriately. They were friendly, professional, very kind and engaging, and did everything they could to help me make my rooms (especially my daughters) perfect. Lastly, I am thankful to the manager who helped Liz find the compromise we needed to make the wait for my daughters bed more manageable. He worked hard to find a solution that would work for us and would not cost me anymore money or stress. Everyone involved in this process made our experience really wonderful. I cant thank them all enough, and everytime I sit in my beautiful new living room or tuck my daughter in at night I will remember how hard everyone worked to make this possible for us. I had a great experience here with the sales person. Her name was also Sarah. We ended up buying a dresser from the outlet center. And I wanted to use a credit that I placed on a merchandise item as a different art van on Hall rd. The other art van people were very rude. Sarah stayed calm during the situation and ended up having to get a manager involved needless to say she got it done.The outlet prices are amazing.

I purchased a massage chair many years ago. They told me it was leather. They gave me leather cleaning and conditioning kit which broke down the polyurethane material the chair was actually made out of. The fabric shrunk and shriveled then flaked away. Their customer service wouldnt warranty the $100.00 seat cushion. I called the manufacturer directly they told me I should have never used anything to clean the chair except for a damp cloth. Art Van Furniture gave me bad advice and didnt back the product I will never forgive them they lost a customer over $100.

Art Van is our favorite furniture store here in South East Michigan. The shopping experience is pleasant, and the sales people are not as pushy as you find them in some other stores. We have our favorite and always manage to get his assistance. The stores are neat, and the furniture is of a reasonable quality. Make sure to check everything upon delivery, and know the limitations of whatever warranty youre getting. Speak up if something about the delivery doesnt seem right. Art Van is very willing to take a look and fix things when needed.

Called and asked for a clearance item. Person named Sam didnt want to help right off the bat. I then proceeded to give an item # and he said he would go to the front of the store and call me back. Never heard back, called to speak to a manager, then Sam pretended to be the manager, and said he would call me back. Never heard a word. Super poor customer service. Will never go to the Chesterfield location.

Service was prompt, sales rep was not pushy, he did not push us to buy what we didnt want and the sale was smooth. The only negative thing is that when they say they have in stock they mean at the warehouse. So they need to elaborate to the customer so they dont get there hopes up.

Horrible rude customer service, could not get what we paid for, then changed a 15% restock fee for something we didnt want. Would advise anyone to never deal with them, the managers they have in-store are a joke and couldnt even deal with the situation and forced it onto people that made the situation drag on for days.

When I was last there no one was around to talk to, to ask questions or even for more information. When I found a salesman he didnt seem interested so when a storm emergency came we were ushered to a safe part of the store. When that was over I was forgotten about so I left. Apparently they dont need the business.The two stars is because I liked their furniture that was all.

My husband and I came into this store to buy a new sofa set but we couldn’t even get past the extremely loud music playing ahead of us in the front atrium, we left instantly.

I have bought a number of items from this location. I would say by far Brandon Wattenbarger is the best salesman out there. He is all for the customer. Hes not to pushy and will give you the best deal that he can. I highly recommend using Brandon as your salesman.

Picked out a new mattress, was helped by Brandon. He did a wonderful job helping us find the right one to fit our needs and was very easy to work with. He was very informative about the mattress styles and pricing. Would definitely suggest seeing him at Art Van.Edit: However, its now been a week since my original post. Our mattress was told about a week until the store has it, and once its arrived next day delivery. That was no issue. Wed gotten the call yesterday with a voicemail saying that Our order is now in the warehouse and to be scheduled to be delivered. Wed made a return call to set up next day delivery for a time after 5 PM, which they said they could do. It is now the day of delivery and wed gotten an automated voice message with a reminder that our delivery would show between 1-4 PM, however no one will be at the house. So Id called customer service to let them know that will not work and to correct these matters. After further investigation with the order; the associate over the phone had told me that theyd only scheduled for a Mattress Removal... Of my OLD mattress; and that the delivery was never scheduled - When this is exactly what wed set up yesterday on the phone?! I dont exactly see why anyone would plan to remove a mattress with no date for delivery of the mattress that is to be replacing it - Did someone really send an order through and expect us to just sleep on the ground? I feel like common sense here should come into play if youre paying for a mattress removal that you need the mattress to replace it.But it gets even better,During the call they say that we never ordered Express delivery when we were told at the time of purchase it was included. So now even though our item is in the warehouse, we are told we have to wait an additional 5 days for delivery as its standard delivery.So apparently they have time to come bring a truck to my home to remove my old mattress but dont have the time to come to my house and bring me my new one thats waiting in their warehouse?The follow up & delivery is extremely unexceptional. Im displeased with the process theyve followed through with.The salesman was great, 5/5. However, Im not satisfied with the delivery process. 1/5. Ill most likely be grabbing a buddys truck and loading and unloading the mattress myself from their warehouse and asking for my $25 Mattress Removal fee back.I retract the 5* rating I originally posted and average my experience out to a 3*.

I really like this Art Van Store especially the sales person, Lori. I have purchased furniture from Lori before and always treats me like a VIP Customer. Lori is very professional, friendly and most importantly, listens to what I need. She applies no pressure or tries to over sell me. Always a pleasure to shop at this store and see Lori.

Every one was helpful and courteous and made sure we were taken care of when needed without hovering over us. Thanks to a great team.

Bought a living room set, kitchen set and guest bedroom set. After 2-3 wks, it was delivered only to have kitchen table broken and a chair on back order. I have yet to receive a call as to when the other pieces will be arriving despite a questionnaire I filled out about my experience requesting a call.Will think twice before I purchase from them again.UPDATELance from the warehouse contacted me the day or so after I wrote the review. Apparently the broken table incident, never got relayed from the driver to the warehouse? Lance could not have handled the situation any better and resolved the issues the following day. Thank you Lance

Lori was fantastic to work with and is very knowledgeable....My only complaint was when I came to pick up the chair I ordered their computers were down so I was unable to pay my balance therefore I could not take my chair with me.I had to come back for it...seems there should be a back up plan when the system is down...Huge inconvenience for the customer!

My sales woman was great. You could tell she was very knowledgeable, she was not pushy, and more than helpful. I will be seeking her out the next time I go to art van Chesterfield, Mi.

Liz was a wonderful sales person. She let us browse and look in almost the entire store and only got involved as we indicated. In the end we bought entire room full of furniture mostly because of her and her help finding us the fabrics and the matching that we needed help with. As always, ART VAN Had what we were looking for and exceeded our expectations. Kud again to Liz.

It was a good shopping experience Saturday. We didnt get attacked by sales people when we walked in the door and Dino Ninku was a great help. He was very helpful when my grandson was testing out the mattress.
