It says bakery closes at 1am. Came in and bought a cake they refused to write on it. Someone was back there but said she had no tips? Anyways I asked the manager and she looked at me disgusted and said the bakery is closed. Really? Website says open Google says open and theres a girl back there packaging cookies. Thanks Kroger now not only did I have to purchase a cake but I had to purchase a writing gel to go home and try to write on it. I dont know how so it will probably look bad. Too bad I dont have time to go elsewhere
This is my favorite place to shop for food, reasonable prices, good sales, liquor, beet, wine, and my favorite... reduced for quick sale items. Always clean, with friendly service. I self-scan and rarely have to wait. Nice and clean bathrooms too!
This place is ridiculous. No cash back and hardly stocked. Id rather give them negative stars but the option isnt available
I have been going to this Kroger for 18 years and its time to call it quits, This place has fallen to pieces. Its always stand in line for a half hr, The shelfs are empty or a mess. The place is flithy and stinks its like someplace in the ghetto.. Move on to a cleaner store with pleasant staff.
Its a good Kroger. It has definitely improved of late. Waiting times at checkout have been greatly reduced and all employees I have interacted with have been very pleasant. Of course, their shelves may be a bit empty, but no more than any other store these days. That they sell liqueur is a great bonus. They only improvement would be a salad bar. It seems there is room. The gas points program is also awesome!
The worst Kroger ever. Aisles in disarray. Low stock levels. Poor produce. Meat prices way too high. Long wait at checkout.
Management: You need new carts for the health and safety of your customers. Customers struggle to push these broken down carts causing back, arm and neck MSDs.This is from a Certified Ergonomist that otherwise enjoys your store. If I keep hurting my back from pushing these carts I will go to corporate and complain. Its time you invest in your customers health...FYI the photo is a pic of brand new carts at the 21 mile and Card Kroger, they take care of their shoppers.
They need to fix their self checkouts. Or they need to have more cashiers. But it was awful trying to checkout.
Ordering online for pickup is pretty good at Krogers..
Customer service workers really need additional training to efficiently help customers!! Especially when it comes to consumers paying their bills through your services. Unprofessional and rude...will be referring people away from this Kroger from now on
Bottle return never works properly and never has fried chicken in the deli
Store is not kept up, very dirty and cluttered.
Couldn’t go in because the doors locked a hour before closing. Drove out of my way to Meijer to get one thing.
A message to the people posted at the door telling people they must be wearing a mask. According to the state supreme court you have no legal right to deny someone access to your store for not wearing a mask you can be sued for discrimination. There is no 21-day. For these rulings to go into effect I highly suggest you stop breaking the law. You are directly violating a court order from the highest court in the land there is no recourse possible for the governor.
My husband and I just love Stella. She is a great cashier! We look for her when we check out, she always introduces herself and her bagger, she is polite and efficient, so refreshing, my husband commented that if everyone did their job as well as she does the world would be a better place! Previous to the last time we were in she had a customer that was very mean to her and she had just had a death in her family. Please everyone try to treat people with respect and curtsey you never know what kind of day they are having, a little politeness can go a long way. Even when she wasnt having the best day she was still polite and efficient everyone could learn from her, thank you Stella! Kroger please give her a raise or a promotion !
Clean, friendly place to shop!Great bakery!Smart helpful Pharmacist teamLots of cashiers all the time!Been shopping at Kroger’sFor many years! I’m happy!
Great sales, friendly staff, convenient location!
Nice clean Store, I can find everything Im looking for and then some.Fresh, Dairy, Meat, and Produce.Friendly, Staff, Cashiers.I,will continue to shop at the Chesterfield KROGER.
I was in this store today July 11, 2020 2pm in the afternoon noticed the not one employees was making sure only people wearing masks would be allowed in and making sure they had them on at all times. This mask law was in effective 11/2 hrs before I showed up.So I complain to the store assist manager a short lady and she proceeded to tell me that a video conference, they were told to wait til July 15, 2020.So Im just giving you a fair warning on this
This is mainly towards the pharmacy. They are so rude. Horrible customer service. When I call to ask questions they just hang up on me after were done. Thats why my meds are being moved to another location. It was unfortunate that I couldnt get my last one transferred.
Relatively new Kroger yet an upgrade would be much appreciated. The store just has an older-faded look & feel that does not compare to other Kroger’s within Metro Detroit. The reason I just can’t let Kroger go though is because I’m addicted to there 1% Kroger Chocolate Milk. Kroger’s chocolate milk is hands down the best, most DEEE-licious anywhere in the world!
THIS PLACE SUCKS! 12 HOURS TO UNLOAD MY TRUCK!!!!
Great service all over the store! Friendly employees! Very Knowledgeable Pharmacists and Techs! Love shopping there! I am a loyal Kroger shopper for over 30 years! Thank You!
Most disgusting store ever. Usually I don’t complain if a store is bad, but this Kroger was nasty. It smelled like a petting zoo with dead fish flies all over the whole parking lot. The least they could have done was pushed them to the side so I don’t have to step on crunchy, dead fish flies. Also, the whole bottle return room was full of fish flies and all of the return machines were broken but one and then that one broke and the employee said they lost the key so they couldn’t fix it. One specific worker was really rude when I asked a simple question. To have a good store, it needs to be clean and have kind workers. I will not be returning because of how bad everything was. The only positive about this Kroger was two employees, I forgot the girl’s name but the boy named Carl was amazing! They were the only good things about my Kroger run.
They have the rudest staff working their. Went into the store to grab a few things. One of the items was to far back for me to reach. I saw an employee standing next to a step stool kindly asked if I could borrow the step stool to grab an item this lady laughs and says no you cannot borrow my step stool. Lately this location their customer service is horrible. Time to move back to meijers.
Delivery appt was at 11PM. Driver arrived around 9PM and got fully empty by 11PM.Cant complain!
Manager and customer service staff were very rude to me when I was trying to figure out what happened to my delivery order. As soon as I told them that I did not receive the order, all they stated was call Instacart not there problem. Its Easter and we have had an order planned for a week now with them. I tried talking with the manager and all he kept saying was call insta cart. There was no Im sorry about what happened, is there something I can possibly help with getting for you or something to that affect. They just ciompletely lacked any customer service skills what so ever. Just very rude staff!
Every time I make an online pickup order they are out of half of everything I order. Why cant your system connect and not advertise things that are unavailable
They have a great selection of refrigerated vegetarian food.
Went in bought some clams was super excited to have a clam bake. 95% of the clams were dead, and already goo yuck. Never again. I will never buy any sea food from them again.
Very clean...great selection of fresh fruit and veggies. Love most of their lunch meat, cheeses, fish and bakery department. Great stores to shop for the family needs. Besides that you accumulate points redeemable for gas purchases.
This store is always well stocked. If its not, there is always an employee close by who is happy to help. Produce is fresh and I love the meat counter. The fried chicken counter is made fresh as well. Since this store is next to my place of employment I constantly shop here. On weekends, I have been known to drive the 30 minutes to the Chesterfield store because the quality outranks the 3 other Krogers I live near!
John the Store Manager runs a friendly personable store. Employees are professional however there is a casual comfort. The store is well staffed and employees actually ask if they can help you find something even if they are walking by on a break they will stop and assist. John was at the 15 mile and Coolidge store when I lived close to it. Very different stressful feeling when he left. I would drive past three other Kroger stores to shop at Johns store. Cashier William is great.
Mediocre at best. Deli is always understaffed with most workers looking miserable and going so slow. Many people just walk away. Vegetables are often out of stock. The rest of the store is usually adequate.
My towns local grocery store. I enjoy shopping here. I take advantage of their fuel points & digital coupons. Hoping soon they offer curbside pickup at this location!
Krogers remodeled and its a lot easier to find what youre looking for great prices theyre always in stock, the employees right there Johnny on the spot to help you. The lines are quick, prices of phenomenal because they always have great deals. They have Chase Bank inside where lines are short I got a great service Grant employees and their Pharmacy hundred percent top notch.
Need more actual cashiers!! Self service registers take jobs away from actual people.Other than that the store is nice and clean
They have a new checkout option where you can grabascan gun andbags when you 1st walkin by the shopping carts_you scan and bag the items that youre going to purchase as your putting them in your cart. (this allows you to know exactly how much your current total weach Hem grabbed) also provides instant coupons, and then at U-scan check out all you have to do is scan a barcode thats.on the checkout screen and choose payment method & pay. It eliminates basically the entire amount of time it takes to uncart, scan, bag, recart, and scanning applicable coupons. Huge time saver & eliminates complications of over or under spending, having to choose either /or the to $allowences, same Coupon searching & Clipping Hassel!BEST INVENTION@ Grocery store in my opinion!👍🤓
Love my local Kroger. So glad they got an update to the store! Always has fresh produce readily available - even on Sunday evenings.
I cant find anything anymore. Im not sure if its better or just totally wrong. I think management messed it up some products, are not in line with items of same use. Tea in one isle, coffee in another. Wine in middle between bakery and bread isle ????????
This Kroger location is horrible. They ALWAYS run out of stock. I only visit this store because it is the closest grocery store to my house, so I go there trying to save time. But...every time I shop there, half of the shelves are empty. I get what I can then I end up having to go to a different store anyways. The parking lot is also too small for the store. During busy shopping times there are no available spaces. The only good thing I can say is that the employees are nice. I think the problems come from management because there seems to be frequent staff turnover and Ive heard employees complaining on numerous occasions.
Every time I go to this Kroger the produce are either out of stock, or already rotten. Also, things that are on sale are usually never in stock either. I go to other Kroger’s on my way home from work and they are so much better than this one.
The store is great and well stocked but there is insufficient handicapped parking for this community. In addition the pharmacy team is great but there is no drive up window which is inconvenient for anyone who is ill or disabled. The table next to the walk up window is used by employees for smoking breaks and the window area lacks overhead coverage for inclement weather which makes it an undesirable option.
Not enforcing masks in store. It is a threat to public health.
This Kroger is always clean, fast, and friendly. There are rarely long lines whenever it is busy. I shop there often for small purchases on my lunch break and a few of the workers even remember me and take time to say hello. I love the Sushi bar there.
Why are all the frozen food lights off after 10 or so? Makes shopping incredibly difficult.
No one ever knows how to bag groceries correctly. Cold food doesnt go with can food. Frozen stuff doesnt go with box items. Has this changed? No, just poor training!!!!
I ordered my party subs from this location for my New Years eve party.I picked the subs up and they have no ranch spread it on them. This was not a request this was an error.I called back and spoke to a store manager “Kayla” the rudeness and sarcasm in her voice is unacceptable she agreed to replace them WHENEVER I am back in their store. I live 25 minutes away This still ruins my New Year’s eve party I will never be back in your store. I’ll take my business somewhere else,if I could give your store a -20,000,000 rating I would! Thank you for ruining my New Year’s Eve party I have no time to order anything else from anywhere else.
Huge place but I’ve only been here once. It did not look well maintained. Considering Meijer and Kroger are the same distance I prefer going to Meijer than here. They do have a lot of stuff. It would be ideal for some to make a pit stop for grabbing a few things real quick from work. But for weekend shopping I would look for some place else.
Store is under construction but that doesnt effect the friendly helpfulness of their employees. I live in Richmond & drive to New Baltimore to shop there. So worth the 15 minute drive!!!
At the New Baltimore Michigan store you will welcome standing in line with only two maybe three cashiers waiting on shoppers with long lines 12 ridiculously self-serve lines lot of empty shelves with product sitting in middle of aisle and nobody stocking shelves seems to be out of items because they dont want to order items you used to buy because of pricing or size now they push smaller size and higher prices even many of the Kroger products not being stock and you have to start shopping at other Krogers or other grocery companies new Baltimore Michigan store either management change or close the damn store because its a disgrace Algonac store is better and Richmond store is a whole lot better oh by the way if youre looking for an Express line forget it thats been eliminated at the New Baltimore Kroger store for over 2 months just a reminder to that little desk cashiers and stock people work the more bonuses management its in their pockets
This is a nice grocery store location. They have always had what I need on hand. I like earning fuel points.
Fresh food great service beautiful flowers 🌺
Love this store. Large size. Good selection.. Good prices
Still trying to find things, since theyve remodeled. Was surprised to see all registers opened, went quick and easy.
Never have a problem. Workers are nice, items are stocked and produce is fresh.
Update from last negative review...The update the store has done is such a positive change...I love, love, love the scan, bag and go feature theyve added..changed my shopping experience..thank you Kroger
I went shopping there the other night with my grandson and I requested $20 cash back, the cashier was talking with my grandson and we both were laughing, and she forgot to give me my $20. I noticed it a few hours later, so I returned to the store the next day and they said her drawer was $1.35 short, not over. I didn’t make a big deal about it, cause they really made it up in there minds that I was mistaken, like there is no other explanation. Clearly somebody doesn’t know how to count or the cashier realized as soon as I left what happened and she took it. I didn’t get my money back and I most certainly won’t go there for cash back again.
The store is busy compared to the one by my grandparents, feels crowded and produce area not well laid out. I would think that the stores would all be the same layout to keep things simple for people that shop Kroger normally. They have nice produce, decent selection, but again HARD to look at things with the cramped area.
We stopped in for a birthday cake. It was clean and organized.
I use to love kroger but after i was treated today i will not be returning. Terrible pharmacy they judge you when they are suppose to help you. And they way they package my prescription was clearly not correct. I also had bought fruit the ones they cut and put in the packages. Well it expired that day and i paid full price that should have been marked down if it expired that day. Take your business else elsewhere there are lots of grocery stores and pharmacys out there.
Love krogers..this location is being remodeled, cant find anything.. I look forward to its completion
Lady at self checkout with black hair is very helpful and extremely nice. The other one with short hair acts as if you owe her something, not a very happy person
This store has gone down hill fast. Many times deli dept. has one person working and 10 people in line waiting. The cash registers are a total joke a year ago you haf every lane open never had to wait. Now you put in more self scans and have 1 register open really???? So much for customer service guess thats a thing of the past
If you go and its not busy, your lucky, much nicer after the remodel
The young man that assisted me at them service desk was very friendly amd helpful.
Went to this store tonight with my bf, asked if they had half gallons of Apple cider, the employee told me no, there was a recall on it. I thought it was strange they still had the gallons out but I thought I could trust them being safe. So we bought a gallon. We got home I poured a glass, IT WAS COMPLETELY ROTTEN!! Im sure this needs to be recalled also, but when my bf went back to the store, they showed no concern that a pregnant woman had drank completely rotten cider that needs to be taken off the shelf. Its still sitting there. I will be calling corporate tomorrow.
Lots of registers open. CASHIER was new and very nice. Lot of manager specials
Clean store well organized and friendly employees. The cashiers are usually pretty quick while checking you out.
Please change your address to Chesterfield, MI 48047.....you are not located in New Baltimore. The gas station is located in New Baltimore.... the East side of Altman Street is New Baltimore 48047 and the West side if Altman is Chesterfield 48047. We worked hard to bring businesses to Chesterfield....give us the credit😊
Always a good experience here. Great deals and bargains.
Signs are misleading, you get overcharged at the register unless your paying attention to the itemized list as it rings up. Signs say one thing and and products dont ring up properly on sale and you get overcharged. This is clearly an intentional marketing effort to rip off their customers. Its too bad theirs not another grocery store in the immediate area, if there was I would never shop here.
Krogers is run by adults. Store and staff rarely has issues. So long as Kroger keeps things top quality they will have success
Carolyn is a precious gem and a super cashier. Your prices are higher. Deli is aggravating as 1 or 2 people might be helping customers and the few others dont bother to help the always long line . Produce is ok but for the quality I have many alternatives.
Bill and Michelle (she was at the customer service desk) was wonderful and pleasant, as Bill always had been in the past and ALWAYS helpful with ANYTHING I may need assistance with.
Kroger has been my place to shop for a long time - great produce and meats - love their specials & I use their app to shop all the time.
I dont normally shop at this Kroger. I come out here to see my massage therapist. but I stop here to get a snack on occasion. Ive never had a problem before with Kroger ever until yesterday. It was lunchtime and at first I wanted pizza but I noticed there wasnt any ready. So I looked at the wings. I noticed that the pre-packaged ones had too many flats (two-boned wings) and not enough of the drummies. Plus, I didnt really want 10 wings, just 5 or 6. So I asked this kid behind the counter if they had any pizza coming out. He said, not for a while. I didnt want to wait so I asked if they had any wings behind the counter. He pointed to the pre-packaged ones under the heat. I said to him, Yeah, but I just want the drummies, assuming he knew what I was talking about. He again pointed to the pre-packed wings. I then explained, No, those are mixed with the two-boned flats and I just want the drummies. He then said, Oh, I know what you mean, sorry I misunderstood. He asked How many?, I said 5 or 6, I added that Id also take a warm biscuit as well. I cashed out and left. When I finally opened the box to eat I saw 4 drummies and 3 flats, exactly what I did not want. He clearly didnt understand what I was talking about even though I tried to explain. But because he gave me a mix, I now believe he was just pretending to understand me and playing me as the fool. How very disrespectful.Train your people better. And stop hiring Idiots. I wont be talking to that kid in the future. And I will demand someone else if hes there. Or better yet, I may not come here at all.
One of the best stores....delete.That was a mistake. I first started shopping here in Nov 2017 and it was worth reviewing. Since then, going there is like PeeWee and snakes.1. The carts suck...every one of them.2. The produce is looking like meijer.3. The meat cutter is trying to retire by leaving as much fat on the offering as possible.4. There are more self check outs than cashiers - ALL THE TIME - BY DESIGN - TO CUT COST and IMPATIENT CUSTOMERS WILL DO THEIR WORK FOR FREE.Reason #463 why Amazon is building spaceships. It wont be long and we will order from there. Might as well.
Good place to buy groceries.
The remodeling has made my experience much less enjoyable. I must spend more time in the store and require help in finding my selections. Many similar items are located in different locations of the store further frustrating my shopping experience. Prices are to high compared to Meijers and Walmarts. Lastly, the produce is often so near rotting I quit buying their produce alltogether.
Jim the mngr onduty this evening at the new baltimore mi store was awesome. Deserves a raise. Went above and beyond in my search for chocolate milk. Jim rules
Kroger is so over priced! I only go when Im desperate. You can get the identical items at Walmart for half the cost. The outside is always dirty. People need to pick up after themselves Walmarts parking lot is dirty also but at half the grocery bill I prefer to keep my hard earned money.
Good store. Clean and well lit. But the wait times at the deli and especially the check outs is horrible. Hence the 3 stars.
Not a good enough selection of products. Better selections at Walmart and Miegers.
Clean and well stocked location. Good prices compared to the other local chains.
Deli staff is rude. ALRIGHT. Time to rant. Because honestly, Im so damn pissed. As most of you know, my brother has autism. He was employed at the Kroger on 23 mile for several months, he was an extremely hard worker, working almost FULL TIME every single week, long days and late at night. Hes been harassed and bullied pretty much the entire time of working there. Kids putting stickers on him, and even sending him sexually explicit pictures. He had to quit his job this weekend because of the amount of stress this has put him and even my family under. Im not boycotting the store itself. But when you shop there I want you to know that there are employees STILL WORKING there that have done something so, so cruel. This world makes me absolutely sick, and shows how terrible people are to people with disabilities. Please share, spread awareness. Thank you
Horrible customer service! You hold forever when calling for information, then the people are very rude and sound stressed out and annoyed that youre even calling. Asking if they carry a general product or asking if they have something I know they carry in stock or not should not deem the type of response one would receive if asking a person to go and find them the rarest flower on the highest of mountains... Ive had this experience every single time Ive called and one time, two women were not only incredibly rude and irrational for no reason what so ever, but they were actually straight up mean. Im always very polite over the phone and am friendly and patient with people, so there was absolutely NO NEED for the kind of treatment I had received. They also made me hold for like 20 minutes if memory serves (may have been more) and cut me off twice where I needed to call back.Today was the final straw when I called once again and once again had to become stressed over it... its supposed to be customer service, not make the customers feel like little children who are bothering you. And really, its not that big of a store, if checking for a product requires that amount of stress and irritation, maybe its not the job for you, but in any case, dont take it out on the customer asking a simple question! So unprofessional and just rude.
Love their pharmacy staff members
I shop there for my groceries theyre always very pleasant and helpful thank you for making my experience pleasurable
I go to this place multiple times a week and I buy all my groceries at Kroger the great thing about Kroger is that they have their Kroger Plus card and it helps us get cash money off of our gas when we fill up the car and there is so many choices in the store so that is a big store if they have many many choices
Grandma and I have been going here for years
The gas station is very easy to get in and out especially if your pulling a boat or camper
Clicklist at this store is great! The store associates who do this couldnt be nicer or more helpful. They always pick quality items, including produce and flowers, and pack them thoughtfully. If they are running behind they call and let me know so I dont have a long wait in the lot. Overall this store is improving, but it has been the Clicklist team that keeps me coming back!Old review: I absolutely hate this place. Only because the staff is terrible. At the deli counter the girls are always fooling around and take forever to get your order done. The cashiers are unfriendly to say the least, and the baggers can be rude and just throw your items in any bag with no thought. I only go here when I have no other choice and thats not very often.
Best chocolate milk this side of 9 mile!
Super clean and has all the options that good krogers offer
It seems that every time I go shopping here, the people in produce are not customer focused, and there are a lot of items with no prices! I resent it when I have to ask how much something is, whoever is doing your signage needs to be more accurate!
I have noticed shelves are not being kept filled. I have gone home without items on my list the last three times. Today there was no zuccini. Meijer is not that far away.
This store closes at 1am. one time, i was heading in at 12:55am to grab one 2liter of pop, with exact change prepared. two women employees (i believe one was named lynn? she’s usually a terrible self-checkout cashier but was there late for some reason) smoking in the front of the store actively lied to me to tell me they were closed. i told them i had 5 more minutes. i’ve worked in retail long enough not to be the person who makes employees keep a store open, but i also expect to not be lied to by employees about the time the store closes. also the store clearly does not have any rule about where employees can smoke cigarettes, since they are constantly milling about not far fromthe doors.
Check out cashier Christa went out of her way to help me, awesome !
