Was driving to OBX when my car had a tire pressure warning light come on. Used Google to find J&J and they had my car up on the rack in 10 minutes and my tire patched in another 20 minutes. The waiting room had a couple of couches and the service was very friendly. Under the circumstances, I am very happy with the service we received. I couldnt ask for anything more.

They were great. We are part time residents and didn’t know who to use. Picked them because of their reviews. It was a wise decision. Very professional and honest. Took care of all of my issues for a very fair and reasonable price. Plan to use them again for sure.

Made an appointment for a break inspection. They let me know when I will need new brake pads in the future and an estimate and gave me peace of mind at an amazingly low cost. Definitely recommend them.

Highly recommend them! My daughters car broke down on the way to the beach and was towed to the shop after hours. The shop took the time that night, even though they were closed, to assess the repairs needed and fixed it first thing the next morning. They are awesome!

I have a 2002 F350 crew cab that the 4X4 front hubs were not engaging on . With my limited mechanical experience I replaced the PVH (vacuum solenoid) but that didnt fix the problem. I took it to J&J and they determined that the drivers side hub was leaking vacuum thus preventing the hubs from engaging. He rebuilt the hub and I am back in business, ready for some off road fun in the mud!!!Prior to this I had them do an alignment on my wife car and was pleasantly surprised with it didnt cost me an arm and a leg....I must say that I am very pleased to know I have a great mechanic close by that is reputable, honest and fair on pricing AND does not try to upsell or gouge customers.Thanks Jason! My car died crossing the Neuse River Bridge on the Friday morning of Memorial Day weekend. Well I have not used these people yet 12-28-20 I will be able to make a determination thereafter if they are a viable mechanic shop reasonable mechanic shop and a professional mechanic shop. I was recommended to this location by co-worker he utilized them quite often. So I decided to have my truck towed there and see if there is good as he say they are.

This local non-chain automotive repair shop has thoroughly impressed me! They are courteous, up-front & honest, and genuinely want to share their knowledge and expertise with the customer! This was the first place in years, I have not felt they were out to make a buck on a woman car owner! I have 3 vehicles and they have serviced what they can on them even telling me when it was best to take it to the dealer because they do not have the digital software access for my VW needs! They could have easily just kept trying first and then sent me to the dealer!! They are also decently priced and have always made me feel my business mattered to them! I will recommend to others! Also, they keep the office and customer areas very clean!Thank you Guys!!

Took our 2002 Ford excursion for alignment as camber on front tires was off. For years other shops said it was as good as it could get and that it couldnt be fixed, so our front tires were wearing on outside edge and truck drove terribly.With an alignment and adjustment bushings replaced, J&J completely fixed the issue in one days time and now truck drives and handles as it should.Theyve also replaced fuel pump on this vehicle and have done work on several of our other vehicles. We trust them completely and highly recommend!J&J is now our go to for all of our vehicle needs.

So far J&J has been our go to garage for our vehicle repairs and of late that has been a lot. Friendly staff very accommodating and very reasonably priced.

Joe and Jason are both excellent mechanics, most importantly they are very honest with any information they give you regarding work needed on your vehicle.

Every time i need something done they are attentive friendly and courteous. their prices are great and above all else, they are very honest! i had a power steering cooler replaced on my truck in august and it started to leak in october. they took in my truck, fixed a broken clamp, refilled my fluid resevoir and when i picked it up i was blown away when i was told there was no charge!! i wont go anywhwere else! trust them, you wont be dissapointed!!

These guys should have an award for being so darn honest if u go in with wire showing in ur tire they dont try an look an tell u that uneed this that an the 3rd now like most do. I went to J&J to have them take a look at my car as it was making some strange noises every so often. I read some solid reviews online, so I thought I would give them a try. I was greeted immediately after I walked in the door, they asked me a few questions, took the vehicle for a spin to see if they could hear what I was hearing. Of course, the vehicle ran perfectly while Jason was driving it, so he put it on the lift. He then walked me through everything he was looking at, basically inspecting my suspension, power steering and other components he thought could have been making the noises I was hearing. After driving the vehicle and looking it over with me for about 30 minutes, he told me, I dont see anything unsafe with your car, Id drive that car to California. Im not mechanically savvy, and my car is old, so he easily could have told me 1000 things wrong with the vehicle and Id have taken it hook, line and sinker, but he was honest. He didnt charge me a dime for what I would call a fairly thorough inspection that took up a good chunk of his time. He just asked that I come back if the noise continues to get worse. While they didnt perform any heavy maintenance on my vehicle, honesty, customer service and integrity mean a lot to me, and these guys score high in those categories. I will continue to bring my vehicle to J&J for the remainder of my time in Eastern NC.

I brought my vehicle in at the end of the day with the dash board lit up like a christmas tree. I left it over night and issues were diagnosed and fixed by the next morning. Honest and open communication. Great experience at J&J!

Good and honest

Took my 2002 Honda CRV with 250k+ miles to them today. They immediately took a look at it and gave me an idea of what the problem was. Left the car and they finished up by the end of the day. Not only was the service quick, they were extremely upfront and honest about what needed to be done. I will definitely be bringing mine and my wife’s vehicles to them for any future needs. Great guys, great business, and definitely planning on recommending them to others.

I drove a recently purchased used truck down from New York to meet up with my family for an Ocracoke vacation. About an hour outside New Bern the head gasket and coolant tank blew out. I just barely made it to town, and dropped off the vehicle with these guys the next morning. Boy am I glad I did. Jim and Jason were entirely courteous, professional, and honest. By the end of the vacation they had me ready to go back to work, with a good used engine installed at a reasonable price. Jason even took a call on a Sunday morning as I drove back up to answer a question about a check engine light. If I lived in New Bern, or anywhere around New Bern, Id take my vehicle here every time.
