My wife and I recently decided to remodel our kitchen, master bath, and install new flooring throughout. We also had the entire home repainted. We reached out to several contractors and received their bids. We own our own commercial construction company and I was very impressed with Carlos and Alexs attention to detail and their professionalism. We ultimately chose to work with Carlos and Alex and I am so happy that we went with them. They were here every day to make sure our project was progressing properly and that we were more than satisfied with the work being completed. We made a few changes along the way, and they were more than willing to accommodate our wishes. They completed the work in a timely manner and everything looks amazing! The result is beyond what we were expecting. Deciding to spend money reinvesting in your home can be stressful, but Carlos, Alex, and all of the guys did an amazing job and it was a lot less stressful than my wife and I had anticipated. I highly recommend them.

We were lucky enough to find this excellent family owned business in New Braunfels. We needed to have a bathroom remodeled. Upon meeting Carlos wife Sue and son Alex we knew we were in the right place. Carlos and Alex came to the house at Canyon Lake and reviewed what we needed done then at the showroom were able to help us pick out all the tile etc to get the job done. Once the job started the two man crew came demoed the bath making sure that everything was covered and that as little mess as possible was made. At the end of each day they would clean up everything and head out. The crew was profession, courteous and so easy to work with. Carlos made a point to come out almost every day to check progress and ensure we understood everything that was being done. I could not be happier with the work that was done and look forward to working with them on several more larger projects that we have planned.

Kitchen and Bath Solutions was recommended by a friend after finding out we would need to replace our shower due to sewer backup. From the first meeting they were supportive, understanding and knowledgeable, while being helpful in guiding us through the process. They were respectful of our needs and our home. We would highly recommend them to do any home improvements or repairs. And we will definitely contact them if needed in the future.

Completely satisfied with all the work for a complete interior remodel of a 3800+ sq ft home to include popcorn ceiling removal and refinish, kitchen remodel, flooring removal and new floors, wood floors refinished, master bath complete remodel with new wet area including tub and two shower massage heads, remodel additional bath and much more.We were informed all throughout the process of the remodel and the crews were very professional and extremely courteous. ****Update 6/26/19 DO NOT USE CARLOS MERCADO. He will take your money and run with many lies along the way...and 15 weeks since the start of this nightmare. Unfortunately I learned what happens when work happens too quickly and Carlos workers (Angel, Victor and Angels son) dont know what they are doing. Id leave zero stars at this point...things went south very quickly after Carlos asked for 75% of the payment up front to remodel my shower. From leaks to terrible tile work its happened...and now Im dealing with a hole in the side of my house.Do what I didnt do and look at reviews. The same thing other people are complaining about is the same thing you will get...lack of paying attention to detail, breaking things, and not installing correctly what they removed and broken promises to include not showing up time after time...without the professionalism to tell you when they wont be around ex.starting work and stopping and then not showing up for 2 weeks..excuse after excuse I got it.Stay far, far away from this business. They were unfortunately recommended to me by Eric Nystrom and I 100% regret ever signing a contract. They will take you through their cookie cutter showroom but cant do any work that deviates from their samples. Dont let that work fool you as what has happened to me. Promises after promises and never fulfilled along with shotty work. It shows in the pictures.Carlos is way in over his head. He is unprofessional and will continue to make promises on what he wont deliver.

I have been enjoying my bathroom remodel for 3 weeks now, and I am veeeery happy! Since there is only one bathroom in my home, and it was built in 1952, I was quite worried about what we might find when the tile came down. Hiring Kitchen and Bath Solutions was the right choice for me - not only because it turned out to be beautiful, but because Carlos (the owner) was always available to talk, or text, or meet in person about progress and choices. His cheerful and positive personality helped me get through the process with little worry, and loads of confidence. I stayed in a hotel during the remodel, so there was no time to waste. I believe that if I had not decided to work with a contractor, the job would have taken a LOT longer than it did. They finished this job in about 10 days, but I didnt have to stay in the hotel that long. It came out just as I ordered it - with a better mirror and vanity light than I expected. The cherry on top is that Kitchen & Bath Solutions is a famiy owned AND operated business. Carlos lovely wife and son both help him run the business. Knowing the owner is personally invested in the business gives me peace of mind. If you are in the market to take on such a project, I highly recommend this company. My family was really looking forward to this remodel but unfortunately the experience just wasnt great.A two week remodel turned into six weeks. Promises to show up and have work completed turned empty and no shows. Two leaky sinks. One that took weeks to get squared away (my kitchen sink) and now the new drain is raised and water stands in it. I have a recessed light in the kitchen that was existing that no switch turns on anymore. Trim that was never painted. A slice taken out of my kitchen flooring due to a worker using a saw inside my house.Be sure with any remodel that what you want done is what is explicitly listed in the contract despite what verbal agreements are made or you will end up paying for things you werent anticipating.I do love my cabinets and my counters. The back splash looks pretty good but lacks finishing touches in my opinion. Be on site during everything and pay attention. The workers do a good job overall but things can get sloppy at times. For example- mirrors that are not level with each other in the master bath. It was very obvious and should not have been even left like that for me to point out.Overall- It looks way better than it did before but honestly I had nowhere to go but up. I paid a lot of money to have a smooth, quick remodel completed but it just wasnt.I found Carlos to be absent most of the time. When he did come by it was very quick, he was usually on the phone and half listening. Texts and calls went unanswered for days at a time. I found the lack of communication to be highly frustrating and frankly unprofessional. Perhaps hes taking on too much work at one time. Be cautious.

We had Carlos to completely redesign our Master bathroom from floor to ceiling and wall to wall. The result is nothing less than beautiful. Him and his crew were fantastic. Carlos stopped by to check on the progress often sometimes twice a day.At the end of the day my wife and I are very pleased with the bathroom finished product and would refer his company. we are so pleased with his work that we plan to have him to remodel our kitchen.

K&B Solutions are doing a remodel of our bathroom and dining room due to a leak in our foundation. Now I could rant and rave about the quality of work etc. I will be brief on that matter, his teams work ethic and attention to detail is nothing short of amazing in todays hurry up and wait world. They care about my home and more importantly the people who live there. So when choosing a contractor it was important for me to find someone in whom I could trust not only with quality and professional work, but who had integrity. We chose Kitchen and Bath Solutions for a master bath remodel and are very happy with the result. Carlos, Alex and Sue were very attentive and in-tune with what we wanted. The project was completed in 4 weeks and the workmanship and their crew were all excellent. Highly recommend.

I also was excited about hiring Carlos M for a bathroom remodel project. The initial demo happened quickly, but work slowed down significantly after that. It took forever to get the cabinets completed and installed, longer to get the frame-less glass for the shower and longer still for the counter-top, which looks great, but measurements were off. The faucet drill outs were off centered and they didn’t measure properly for the back-splash edges. The shower and new cabinets look good and his team was respectful and always cleaned up, but the devil is in the details. I would not hire again.

Carlos and his team did a good job and the kids’ bathroom looks very nice. Angel and his crew were terrific and very conscientious. Scheduling was an issue, and I had to remind Carlos about elements we had agreed on. For a quick remodel, I would recommend them, although they are pricey.

Just went through a massive remodel with this company. In 45 days, the project is almost complete. It is very stressful going through this, but Carlos and his fantastic crew made this so much easier for me. The craftsmanship is amazing and you will not be disappointed with the final result. I definitely recommend this company for any of your remodeling needs

Carlos is a local contractor and has gone above and beyond my expectations in designing my master bathroom and the overall price. We are removing the garden tub and adding a dual shower with a glass wall and a glass door in the middle. We have saved over $10K by comparison to the big name contractors. And this includes exterior work too. Most of the contractor, like Shaw, talked us out of removing the window above the tub and a full glass wall for a pony wall, but not Carlos.He has worked with us from day one and did tell us when there would be choke points. Like the plumbing and permits. Man I am glad that the initial plumbing work is done. That alone took 1+ weeks just for the plumbing and to coordinate the inspectors visit ( twice) to see the finished work.Now that that is done. Our bathroom is changing each day they stop by and work. Many thanks on the saving ($) and the quality of work thus fair. Will write another after all is complete with pics. jjz

As a retired Marine, I know excellence when I see it. This is my third remodel, so I can recognize someone who knows their business and who takes genuine pride in the quality of work they’re doing…and that certainly describes Carlos and his crew. We are just about done with this project and I’d like to offer an honest and objective review so far. I will follow up with another review when the project is completed as well.First, I can’t recommend Carlos highly enough for any level of remodeling or renovation you may be considering. He is a man of integrity. A man you can trust. He is pretty much remodeling our entire home… both bathrooms, entire kitchen, every floor and door, plus adding additional square footage to our home by enclosing our porch and running air to that area as well. It is absolutely beautiful and words cannot express how delighted I am with the project thus far.Before choosing Carlos, we did our homework and got several bids. So why did we choose him? When compared, his pricing was fair and the level of detail outlined in his bid was impressive. But we ultimately chose him, because we felt it in our gut. We have a habit of listening to our intuition and it has never let us down:) His crew is exceptionally clean, professional, and always on time. They are a delight to work with. All the work performed throughout the remodel has been of the highest standard and I have so much enjoyed working with them. I also really appreciate how hard they all work toward keeping the remodel on schedule and within our budget.There are plenty of contractors to choose from in New Braunfels, but I can tell you with complete confidence that Carlos is simply the best for a home remodel. Remodeling or any kind of renovation can be very stressful, but I haven’t felt stress at all. In fact, I am loving the process this time, because I know I am in good hands.So, our entire project should be completed in about six weeks:) Wooohooo! UPDATE 2021: I still stand by everything I have written previously. Now a small crack in the spacing for the kitchen floor has slowly become a one-quarter inch division that is very obvious. It was originally installed with a space that I felt was too much for a hardwood floor, but I didnt make a bid deal with all of the other issues I had to deal with. Now I wish I had made them correct it then. Live and learn. Please read if you are thinking of using Carlos. I know he has good work and references, but I should have gone with the first reference who was not satisfied with the work in progress. If I had, I may have tried someone else or paid the upcharge for using Lowes design team.I have written many reviews for various services and products Ive used. I am always honest and try to be as objective as possible. I usually give the benefit of the doubt to businesses because Ive run a small business before and know the difficulties and joy in doing quality work. I handed over my first deposit for a simple kitchen and bath remodel on Jan 13, 2017. My home is only 1700 sq ft. . I handed over my final payment on April 20, 2017 WHEN HE FINALLY ALMOST FINISHED. Carlos does not keep his word. Period. He has no sense of a project schedule. The job that should have taken 4-6 weeks like I was promised. Kitchen and Bath Solutions and A+ Home Modifications did not hold up their end of the bargain for the schedule. The final product looks very good, but I cant recommend these companies because I had to constantly, daily, monitor progress or no progress would occur. For a working person, I should not have to hold hands when they had full access to the house at all times. Finally, no permits were pulled for all of the plumbing work that was done at my house.****UPDATE**** May 2018. I stand by what I posted a year ago. The ceiling paint in my bathroom cracked all the way across the room in 2 places. The paint peeled off in sheets. My kitchen bar for my children and I to have breakfast and casual meals was not measured correctly and so only 1 person can sit. I stand so that I can always remember how upset I am about the bar since the bar is the main thing I wanted and discussed when hiring the contractor. I will post every year to make sure that people know what they are getting with Carlos. My cabinets are not all aligned correctly so that the doors dont lie flush on 2 sets of doors. I recently had to put in screws in the bathroom vanity doors because when it was installed, only 1 screw was put in the hinge instead of 3. The cabinetmaker was aware and came in and did some repairs after install and still missed this one even though I pointed it out. I had the entire interior of the house painted while it was vacant and no furnishings. There are major paint drips on the walls and doors. When I had pointed a couple of areas out to the painter at the time of the work, he said that it was already there from the previous paint job. Now that I hang more paintings, etc. I see that there are far more paint drip sections than I realized. All of this work was done by Kitchen and Bath Solutions and A+ remodeling. Dont be fooled by the showroom and the glossy photos. You can get good work as long as you get every detail in writing, down to the glass in the shower enclosure. His response when I asked about my shower glass..Oh, I thought you were going to use a shower curtain. I didnt include glass in your estimate. Really??!!!?? I had to stop payment on the final payment just to get the cabinet hardware installed. He had dropped off the hardware with my boyfriend while I was at work. Once he did the work, I released the check minus the stop payment fee. Dont be Fooled.
