Great customer service and atmosphere. Plenty of games with a healthy player base. I go there to play Magic: the Gathering, but they play roleplaying games and board games there as well. All around a good store and a fun place to hang out.

I had a fantastic experience at Blitzkrieg Games. We were visiting the area from out of town, and I decided to stop in to check out their magic singles. Their selection was fantastic, and they had almost every card I was looking for (and quite a few I didnt know I needed until I saw them!). The store was very clean and organized, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back the next time we are in the area.

I super love this place. I try to drive down from Austin, once a week to hit this place up and will do so everytime that im in NB. Really great ownership and employees. The best part is I guess the ambience and culture that has bee created by them.Excellent selection of stuff, great events!

This place is the place to be! The owners are top notch by far. Tournament play is fantastic. The atmosphere fenominal! Great place to gather with your friends. Just make sure you have plenty of mana and crazy squirrels in your deck. 🐿

My number one spot to go to for cards and other game items. Very laid back Vive that I like, never feel like Im being rushed or pushed into buying anything which is a big plus for me.There is a super sweet puppy there sometimes and that makes it worth the trip even if they dont have the card I need that day.(which they can order for you in the store.)10/10

Today was the first time Ive been to this LGS. A smaller lgs. Great shop owner, friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately the only con is, I didnt get to pet the doggo.

The store is locally owned and operated. The owner is there daily. The store specializes in trading cards like Pokemon and Magic the Gathering. The store also sells things for D&D, Warhammer 40K, other miniature tabletop games and assorted comic books. Tournaments are held throughout the week for the different card games. The store has a Facebook page that posts regularly what they are doing. Would highly recommend to anybody who is into what the store sells.

Went twice, probably not going back again. The shop could be doing more to service its gaming community, and would be a lot more successful. Just because it exists doesnt automatically mean locals should feel obligated to give patronage. They have very limited stock; no comics (even though its in their names title); and the owners show very little interested in actual games people come to play. They also have a shop-dog, a big shepherd, its always there; its hair and dander are everywhere. It wouldnt be so bad but the dog does occasionally bark at either delivery drivers and/or customers; I cant tell if it playful or not, but it is a little unnerving. I had never barked at me but during my first visit the dog began barking at the delivery driver, at first I didnt know if it was barking at me or not, I was the only other person in the shop. The owner didnt seem to mind the dog barking nor if it made the customer uneasy. After several minutes of this, Im guessing the owner noticed my unease, he apologized and said the dog was barking at the delivery truck as he moved the dog into one of the back rooms. On one visit I was waiting for a group mate to play some Warhammer, while I waited I played a game of MTG with another pair of gamers waiting for the rest of their group. When one of their group arrived the shop-dog began barking at the customer. The customer didnt seem bothered; being new to the shop, I couldnt tell if the animal was being playful or not; but it was still unnerving. On my last visit, while playing Warhammer I found the dog poking around in my bag, the animal gave me no trouble when I shooed it away. The reason Ive decided not to give further patronage to this shop is because on one rare evening my wife decided that she would really like to join me and learn to play, having already showed her how to play Warcry. However, she is Terrified of dogs. I reached out to the owners and offered a compromise, maybe leash the dog behind the counter. They seemed perturbed by my request and wanted to know how long wed be playing for.If you dont mind a large dog having free range of the shop, then this is your place.

This place has such a great atmosphere. Since day one the people have welcomed me in with smiles and respect. Plenty of room to play for a small shop. Billy an ex Abercrombie store model and Barbra, a former winner of Texas best smile, have done a wonderful job in making this place have the latest and greatest of Magic, Yugio, and Pokemon. This is a fantastic so if your passion is magic or any warhammer games. By far some odd the friendliest staff Ive met all a game store. They remembered me after I dropped some paint in the parking lot they gave me another one when I showed up the next time. Absolutely great service.

Wonderful game store that has only improved over time. This store is legitimately a case study in how to do a small, independent business correctly. At first it was kind of cramped, but they expanded outwards when they got the opportunity. They adapt constantly to the wants and needs of their customers, provide excellent customer service, and stand by their values of creating a fun, family-friendly space that caters to all kinds of crowds. Their staff is friendly, informed, and patient. Their owner is deeply involved and savvy. Their inventory is clean and kept up to date. I could go on about what they have done to improve themselves over the years, and to be honest, they started out in an amazing place. So they have only worked to get better.

While the store is sort if half game store and comics, the staff make sure both needs are filled. They csn subscribe to any comic series or board gaming material you need.The store also has the treats you need to keep up with those long dungeon crawls. Also if you require your miniatures painted inquire with the staff and they will hook you up.If you live in New Braunfels, it is a good source of comic books and the hours are more geared towards late afternoon to midnight. Very friendly and both owners will talk shop and offer insight.

Went here for a playing card game event. The staff (owners?) were very kind and accommodating. They ran a solid event with a generous prize structure. The gamers were fun and diverse. It is a small store, but they pack a lot fun and good vibes into the space, as well as a good variety of merchandise.

Went there looking for back issue comics, no comics. So dont believe any picture posted with comics in them. Very small selection of D&D items. Seems more suited to hanging out, no for purchasing.

The store owner is really cool and goes out of his way to ensure everyone has a good time including first time players and beginners. The goods are in a small but neat and accessible alcove of a room as you enter. Past that is the game room which is spacious and available to try out your new cards or try out any of their board games that are also up for sale. First time we went in the owner went on a long tangent and gave us a 15% discount on our purchase for it. He had some excellent info too!

Havent visited the store in some time..however, when we visited often to build MTG decks, Billy and the rest of his associates were always super cool, and helpful! His shop is a hot spot to be at on a Friday night for MTG! I have seen some people leave lesser reviews because of the low comic selection..give him feedback! Start a comic subscription at his store! They will tend to your needs and always keep the customer in mind :) Very happy to see how successful his shop is doing right now! We love it there and will be back soon!

Recently started playing Magic The Gathering so Ive been trying several gaming shops. Blitzkrieg is open late, has super friendly staff and patrons, and is in the same plaza as my favorite nail salon. We spent less than $100 on essential MTG cards and gear. Total win!

Found out about Blitzkrieg not to long ago. Super Friendly staff that will go above and beyond to insure you find what you need. Its more of a card store selling yugioh, pokemon, and magic. The best thing about this store is it stays open late giving you a chance to play your friends in a professional style setting. I enjoy coming here every chance i get and i love supporting supporting this local business.

I was so excited when New Braunfels got an actual gaming store & Blitzkrieg hasn’t disappointed! Billy, the owner is very friendly, knowledgeable, is great about handling my special orders & weird questions & is always up for finding the answer if he doesn’t know it. Barbara, his store manager, is equally awesome, friendly & happy to help & the go-to for anything Pokémon or comic. It’s one of my husbands & my favorite places to go hang out, play a board game (they have a whole shelf of sample games) or just hangout & chill. I always recommend everyone go check the store out whether you like board games, card games or are into D&D role play games 🙂

Had a great Experience at the shop. Found the Wigglytuff that I was looking for to complete my hidden fates collection. Bought a sealed box of Sword and Shield booster packs. Not only did I get a great price for the box, I pulled a Zamazenta Ultra rare and Zamazenta Secret Rare ( thats the gold one ). I will for sure go back there and they have a customer for life. This is a great trading card shop. All singles are well organized and I can normally fond anything I need there for magic the gathering. They also sell board games and have some for use in the shop. I recommend this shop highly.

Just heard about this place and decided to check it out. Im not big into games but I like collecting comics. After a couple minutes of talking to Billy, I ended up getting a subscription to some of my favorite series and he said he could get some back issues to any that Ive missed if he didnt have them in stock. This is a cool shop owned by a really good guy, and the prices are great! Definitely worth a visit!

Visited on aug 17 at approx 5pm. As usual the staff was friendly and prices low. I live in martindale which is more than 10 miles away, but i always try to visit once a month and go through their comics. I never leave empty handed.

Went in and was surprised at the small size of the store portion but I feel with the space they have, devoting the largest portion to the gaming area says they are more about community than trying to make you buy something. I will return time and time again.

First: the address is posted incorrectly. The shop is located on bartels street, a completely different part of town. Look for the EZ-pawn out near Kohls.Other than that, a great shop for getting board games, magic cards, Pokemon cards, or hang out and play your own game. A great atmosphere to hang out, this is a cool new place.

On top of being a Tcg(trading card game) shop among other games like warhammer 40k their main focus is to be a cool place to hang out and play these games. Most shops like this only have game nights on the side but this place has game nights on top of people being there to chill out and play games.

Walked in to a store that resembles a disorganized supply closet. Board game selection was meh at best, and is it too much to ask to be acknowleged when you walk into a store. Four people walked by us, two of which had to say excuse me, because the store is so crammed. Not a single hello. Blitzkrieg sums up this store pretty well, get in and get out quickly. I was very disappointed.
