My wife and I have been searching for a hot tub for about a year. When we visited New Braunfels Pool and Spa, we found what we were looking for thanks to Amanda, the owner. She asked for details about what we wanted in a hot tub and picked out the perfect tub at the right price. We have had our Cove hot tub for a few weeks and love it so much. We called for an assessment after the recent freeze. Within 10 days, we had a diagnostic visit scheduled and performed, a quick estimate, and everything repaired so that the pool was working better than BEFORE the freeze. Bryan was fantastic (knowledgeable, efficient, friendly). We didnt have any experience with NB Pool & Spas before, but now were BIG FANS! :)

Love this company. We asked them to come see if we had the right equipment to heat our pool. They came out, looked it over, Keith and Bryan came up with a plan. If we were going to do it, we needed it done quickly. We were having a wedding reception at our house. They got the job scheduled and Bryan completed the job in 2 days. Bryan was so good, you cant even see that he dug up all the plumbing around our equipment. Was so thoughtful and professional. Showed us all the features of the system, and even set up special one touch buttons for each of us to turn on our spa heater to a specific temp for us individually. Definitely recommend NB Pool and Spa for any problems or maintenance you may need.

After waiting over two months to get one tub from a local competitor, I was able to get 3 tubs the same day I called to inquire about stock on hand and price. Troy was great to work with and was very informative withou5 being sales pushy. And the greatest thing is I could see beforehand what I was buying and the price was right in line with what other dealer offered. Plus I got lifters for the covers which is a big plus. Highly recommend this locally owned and operated business.

Very disappointing. We were misled about several things and not informed about them until we’d already spent $6K. Now we don’t even know how to operate our spa or if it is even in a safe location. Once they took our money they lost interest in taking care of us even though we spent and extra $499 for white glove set up. The owner left it to the electrician to finish up pouring the chemicals in and claimed that the manual had disappeared and he didn’t know where it was. We have asked for the manual, but have not been provided with one. I had to call after he left from the white glove set up to ask how to work the spa! (that was not worth the $499…) Then to top it off we received an email stating that our spa is not in a safe location, after the fact. We were never informed of that prior to or during purchase or during the installation even though they had sent one of their men out to take pictures of the location where it was going to be put. We feel it was a shady transaction and we were treated poorly. We are currently waiting on a call back from the owner… Will update as to the outcome.

Wonderful staff with lots of knowledge. When my pool builder finished and didnt give me the pool school I needed, NB Pools came to my rescue. They came and looked at my pool, instructed me in what needed to be done and then followed through with everything they said they would. Their staff is excellent and so very knowledgeable. They ran the water tests and instructed me in exactly what chemicals, and how much, to get my pool healthy. Absolutely love this place!!

The store has a variety of hot tubs and spas (plus supplies). Amanda is a great salesperson. She’s professional, knowledgeable, helpful, attentive, conscientious, sincere and kind. You can’t ask for anyone more knowledgeable about each hot tub and it’s features, highlights, pros and cons. She tells it like it is in her opinion and guides you toward your best option when purchasing a hot tub. Loved working with her on our purchase and looking forward to scheduling our delivery.

Best customer service ever. New Braunfels Pools AND SPAS are my super heroes! Last week I needed help with a very green pool. For less than $50, add in their perfect instructions and some of my elbow grease, I have a beautiful pool again. They even sent me a video of what to do. 2 years ago when my pool went green, I spent several hundred dollars buying and doing what another pool supply suggested and ended up having to pay a professional to fix it. That was several more hundreds. NB Pools AND SPAS was recommended to me. Now I pass that recommendation along.

She called to confirm appointment and called me about billing. I wanted to get an inspection on my pool/pump equipment and the guy that showed up was fabulous as well. For 12 years I have turned to Keith when I need help. He leads a reputable and honest company. I highly recommend them for anything related to pools.

I hired NB Pool Co to maintain a pool at our vacation home. I tried Chem Plus service as well as Full service but neither seemed to make a difference. I had continual problems with pool and equipment. The technician was usually there for less than 10 minutes. That is not enough time to make sure things are working properly and check chemicals. The pool was never brushed which I now understand should be done weekly in our climate. I had a pipe burst one weekend while I was there and called the emergency number. I waited 8 hours and never received a call back. Thankfully I was there and able to shut off the water. This happened the following weekend as well after they had repaired it and I paid for repair. Problem was obviously misdiagnosed. Another time the technician put the hose in to add water, left it running and never came back to check on it. Thankfully, again, I happened to show up the next day to find pool overflowing. The owner and the phone operator are nice people but they are stretched too thin, the right hand never knows what the left hand is doing and there was never any consistency with who was servicing my pool. After spending thousands of dollars with them, Id had enough and found another company. They didnt care that they lost a good customer and even sent a technician out the next day by mistake. Again, the right hand never knows what the left hand is doing. After hiring another company, I am now enjoying a problem free pool. I only wish I had done it much sooner.

Keith and Victor were right on the problem for my 12 year old Dimension 1 Spa. They found the leak and repaired it in no time. They didnt mind the work and were super friendly. If you need pool or Spa work I highly recommend giving them a call.

I have been a customer of New Braunfels Pools for several years and it has been great. They come every week, have never missed a week, and take care of the maintenance and the chemicals. I was having trouble with a green pool and could not clear it up no matter what I did. They took over and now I have a pool that sparkles and we can spend time swimming instead of vacuuming and cleaning.If I have questions, I can call and they are taken care of right away. My only regret is that I didnt take advantage of this service many years ago.

NB Pool Company came right away - checked out the problem with my hot tub and gave me a quote. They said theyd put me on the schedule in three days, and I asked if I could be put on sooner since my sister was coming and really wanted to use the hot tub. They managed to fit me in their schedule early, and everyone was happy!!

I needed a booster pump for my pool and they didn’t have it stock, but Joanna and Carla immediately put in an order for it and will have it for me within 48 hours. That is excellent service! I had a valve replaced on my filtration system and had teh sand media serviced. While working through getting this repaired thier technician noticed a problem. The pump was not sized correctly. Sure enough it failed and needed replacement. I was told they would be out this week to fix it but they had a big job on Wednesday and it would probably be Thursday. I was surprised that they showed up Wednesday and then took the time to drive to go get the parts from their supplier, pick up my motor and get it installed. All before I even got back home at 5 PM. I dont see very many companies that exceed my expectations, but these folks did. I recomend them very much.

They come once a week as promised, clean any leaves, clean the sides and leave. Most of the time I do not even know they have been here until I look at my clean pool and see the water sparkle. No more green to worry about.

Let me begin by stating I dont often do reviews. I was so appalled by NB pool co that I had to. I used them as we moved into our house just over a year ago because the previous homeowner used them and they were a small business. As a small business owner myself I like to support small businesses as much as possible. Starting out the service was great. The first service person we had was Jared and he was the reason I continued to hold out hope for change. Jared should own his own pool service company as I would most definitely support that young man. We only had Jared as our service person for a couple of months at the most. Since then we have had at least 6 different people show up to service the pool, kind of. Showing up for 5 minutes sometimes and dropping some product in the pool snapping a picture or two and most times three doesnt seem to justify the Chemical Plus VIP rates. Communication throughout NB pool co is, to say the least, lacking. They changed our service days with no notice even though the office person stated they did but I have maintained every single communication with NB pool co since the beginning and there is absolutely no communications on this and several other scenarios experienced throughout our service time. I will not go into every single time they did not show at all to clean or all scenarios other than a broken gate from them slamming it to broken parts to the Polaris I had to replace and figured to do it myself so that our pool continued to get the proper service rather than someone potentially getting revenge by pouring too much of something or not enough of something else. Many times NB pool co had to refund me, which I am thankful they did, due to them not showing up and me calling them on it. Having an email report sent to me dated from month a full previous, showing up and cleaning the neighbors pool who has service from another company and was scared as you can imagine, and then not even showing up anymore was the last straw for me. Once I sent an email asking about what the rules are for cancelling service at the beginning of June I can only guess they decided they wouldnt mind being the one in control of the business relationship. They never showed up to service our pool in July at all with multiple emails back and forth and phone calls that I am going to be contacted by the route supervisor that did not occur and so on. I had reached out to Keith Zars for services and had agreement sent and ready to sign waiting to see how we were going to end this business relationship. Though with all the things we experienced I thought to just move on and never would have done a review. Well the lady from the office calls me to let me know that they have decided to suspend your services and that they are going to refund Julys payment. Funny thing is that how can you refund me what you hadnt got paid for yet and for what you did nothing for? She portrayed that she was being nice by allowing me to receive a refund which implied their services rendered. There was NO services rendered. They never came and serviced the pool in July. in my opinion, it appeared knowing that they had failed and had no desire to be better the best thing to cover all involved, possible(again my opinion) they didnt want this getting to the owner Keith Hargrove. Based upon what I see about Keith he seems to be a good person and a good Christian. I would be absolutely shocked if he knew of the scenarios his customers or maybe just this one customer experienced. Keith Zars came out to clean my pool and were so thorough and took much more time with our pool. The pool looks like it used to when Jared serviced the pool and could not be happier.

NB Pool Company worked for me for over a year. Keith one of the owners was very accomodating but I had the unfortunate luck to meet up with Amanda his wife. After a year of dealing with a particular issue I had enough. For large jobs Id pay with a credit card. But I made it clear in no uncertain terms that I reserved the right to use any form of payment I chose in any given month. On many occasions I would find that my account had automatically been charged with said credit card. I repeatedly told Keith that this behavior was unacceptable. He duely apologized and promised he would discard all of my card information. Well what I had feared happened. They had not discarded my card information. They charged it one last time, leaving my bank account overdrawn, bouncing several of the checks I had written. I called Keith repeatedly and he said he would redeposit the money. But it took many days before I heard from either of them. In frustration I called one last time, and spoke to who I later came to know as Amanda. She was yelling at me and using aggressive language. She said she didnt appreciate my persistence and didnt want me as a client anyway. Then she said she knew where I lived, which really upset. Now I live wondering what will happen next...very scarry. I would not recommend this company, and it is too bad because Keith is a lovely man.
