I came here and worked with Pat on a Gas tube issue, after making an initial mistake of ordering a Rifle length tube, I went in and he exchanged it for a carbine length tube. I mistakenly needed a Mid length tube, not only did Pat replace it a second time, but also pinned it for me without batting an eye. He treated me with such respect, as did the whole staff working, and never made me feel bad about my mistakes, chalking it up to a learning experience. He shared in my excitement for building and told me to send some pictures over of my build when it was finished.I will be shopping here for all my future gun part needs. Awesome staff.

I was happy with my service, but learned after two years of frustrating use that they mounted my scope incorrectly. One of the scope rings was backwards, and squeezing the bell of the scope. Explains my zeroing issues. Remounted elsewhere, problem solved. They should know how to mount a scope.

Very good options for guns, all sorts of types of extended magazines, I mean the options are great! But guns are a little pricey! I get it with the fact it’s a small business . A sccy pistol which is $200 most other places was $275 there . But still employees are very chill and nice! If you ever need an extended or regular mag they have them for all types of guns for good deals on those.

I met these guys at a gun show a few years ago and they impressed me. I went to their shop and they helped me price out an AR pistol build and were very patient.Yesterday I called because I was having light primer strikes on my ar pistol.the guy diagnosed the problem over the phone. I went in and he helped me fix the problem right then and there even though they were busy. And didnt charge me. So I bought a couple pmags from them.They are a knowledge helpful great fun shop. I highly recommend.

Man this place is awesome, I forgot to review this place for my initial purchase. Came in to look into selling one of my AR’s that I don’t shoot as much, decided not to sell but started talking shop to one of the guys about guns and stuff, mentioned that I was looking for a “Honey Badger” if you know what they are you know that they are extremely hard to find. He went to the back and brought out the fabled Q box, inside was a brand new honey badger SBR. I was so ecstatic to find this thing and bought it on the spot. Been here a few times since then to stock up on 300BLK. They made the NFA paper work for the SBR so easy and Fast. Now I just gotta wait for my tax stamp. Give these guys your business because the deserve it.

DK Mags is an excellent local shop. Staff is always helpful and friendly. They have very reasonable prices and don’t price gouge like many online stores do during shortages. Their FFL is on file with many of the big online shops so buying a gun online and having it shipped is pretty hassle free. Their transfer fee is reasonable and lower than some competitors. All in all, I recommend DK Mags for any firearms needs.

Did an FFL arms transfer here and was processed efficiently. Reasonably priced at $39. Friendly staff and great selection of weapons. I was pleasantly surprised how many weapons they have in such a small space. I was expecting less selection considering what it looked like from street view. Dont judge a gun shop by its cover!

Ive been here a few times. My first time was to buy a stripped lower. I then bought a suppressor, some spare springs for a lower, and a few other parts. The staff there is quite knowledgeable in their own regard.Ive also ran into a couple of customers who are extremely knowledgable in various subjects of gun parts and engaged me in conversation teaching me lots of cool useful things.I love that this shop has lots of parts that one can get locally.It took me months before I posted a review of this shop as I did not want to give it more or less of what in my opinion it deserves. Its 1 of 3 local shops I recommend to my friends.

Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. If they dont know something theyll actually say so and find out the answer, instead of just making something up. Most importantly, I went in with my wife and the employee who helped us treated her the same as he did me. She felt as important a customer and was treated very well and not condecended to, even though she knows next to nothing about firearms. Probably going to be a customer with these guys for a long time.

This place continues to impress me with not only great prices but absolutely fantastic service! I purchased an item from their website this morning after calling them yesterday to check that my item was in stock. I expected to be able to expedite the process in store by purchasing online first. What I didn’t realize is that when you purchase from their website, they drop ship the item to their store and notify you when it’s available. When I called the store today to make sure it was still available, they went out of their way to pull one from stock so that I could receive the item today, then the one I ordered would be put back on their stock. It’s not they way they typically did it but they were more than happy to do it knowing I wanted it today. Patrick went out of his way to immediately pull the item from inventory as soon as we got off the phone, then called me back 5 minutes later to confirm that the item is being held for me and to apologize for the inconvenience.I’ve purchased the majority of my items from this shop and will continue to do so! I live in Princeton, and my boyfriend and I drive all over the cities to look at different guns to purchase. This gun shop is incredible. They have a very wide variety of new and some older guns. Awesome little tactical shop which is is hard to find. These guys said they have been around for like 20 years. Nice friendly staff with a friendly welcome. Some shops leave things to be desired. They are very knowledgeable. They helped me with two of my AR’s that had issues. After talking with the knowledgeable staff I didn’t need anything. So felt bad I didn’t need to buy any parts. Extremely friendly staff at each visit, quite knowledgeable and as helpful as they can be. After looking at multiple EDC selections, which they have an impressive amount of, the choice was made. Their prices are lower than competitors and are more than willing to print out information on any firearm in the store for the indecisive buyer. From the outside it seems like a small store, but its well stocked with merchandise on the inside. Dont hesitate to go in, itll be your go-to after the first visit.

I was referred to DK Mags, trying to find magazines for my Remington 700 With Magpul stock. I bought it used, last week but no mags . I was able to get 5 round mag and a spec war muzzle brake for it.I will be upgrading my scope to a Vortex Diamondback 4-16x42.I really appreciate the staff and their experience in shooting sport.

Very knowledgeable. Extremely low cost for transfers. I have been buying and receiving firearms from DKmags for 3+ years. Dave and the crew are friendly and customer centered. Never have had a bad experience (I am 56 years old and there are not that many business that I have ever felt this way about). Well worth the 20-30 minute drive to deal with them.Tip:Dave can get real busy. However, he will promptly respond to Emails.

As a novice shooter interested in purchasing my first handgun, I wanted to try my local shop before going anywhere big. They treated me so well, and were so willing to share stories and offer genuine advice based on my price range and what I thought would be a good fit for me, a novice. Pat listened to my needs and was able to immediately show me a better option that was not only much more comfortable for me, but it wasnt pitchy and even though what he recommended was more expensive, I one hundred percent agree with him and am so happy that I was given his (and his co-worker, didnt get his name) time to help me make a much better decision than I walked in there with. Had I walked into any other place, especially a big box establishment, they would have gladly just sold me what I walked in there to pick up. The knowledge and experience gushes out of these guys, and I can not wait to begin doing plenty of business with them. Support your local shop isnt always the best idea, but in this case, I wouldnt want it any other way. Highly recommend these gents to any novice out there!

Great prices and solid selection.I’ve purchased a few firearms here but I had an experience today that lost me as a customer. I went in to purchase a Glock 40 and had a paper ID since real ID is backed up for months in our state. The paper ID was valid and not expired, but I was informed that since it was over 45 days old the ATF prohibited the transfer. I haven’t had this issue with my other FFL I use (mostly Bills). I though that odd and decided to check all I could find is that as long as the ID is valid it’s good for the transfer.

I have yet to meet an employee here who isnt highly knowledgeable (or willing to find an answer if they dont know it), friendly, professional, and personable. The space is well-maintained, and everything is easy to find. If you want the quality and selection of major national retailers but despise walking through acres and acres of lifestyle crap just to get to the firearms counter, DKMAGS is the place to go.I bought my first handgun here a few years back, because their price was the lowest I could find - period. It was well worth the hour-plus drive (one way) at the time, and wouldnt ya know it... A few years later, theyre actually my neighborhood gun shop, and I couldnt be happier.PRO TIPS: $29/gun FFL transfer fee, and theyve got a great selection of FN accessories in stock at any given time.

Discriminate against customers. Store dont know the Federal law 18 USC 922 y, and lying about ATF responses without showing written responses from said ATF agent. And they ask customer to pay for their lack of education and incompetencies.

Very easy to deal with and willing to help. Far more helpful than many of the other stores Ive dealt with. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Was just in about 15 minutes ago and had one their gunsmith throw on some Truglo Tritium Night Sights I brought in, on my brand new Glock 43. Very professionally done, and at a great price. The process took about 10 minutes.There were three staff members, and although the bearded guy was helping other customers, I could tell he and both of his colleagues (whom I chatted with) were very friendly and very knowledgeable about firearms.An employee gave me some advice regarding my current carry ammo, that maybe it wouldnt be that great considering the G43s barrel length. Instead, he told me about a few other and better options.Overall an excellent shop with awesome guys, and a great place for anyone in New Brighton, Arden Hills, Shoreview, etc. Ill definitely be coming back, hopefully, to buy my dream gun or the parts, some sort of AR-15.Thanks, Steve and crew, for making a beginner to firearms feel comfortable and welcome. Ive bought a number of items from DKMAGS either at the store or at a gun show. Mostly lowers and AR parts. About a year or so ago (actually probably a little longer than that) I bought a bunch of parts for an AR build. After completing the rifle and going to the range, the bolt was junk. I tried a few things to verify. Put it in other rifles, tried a different BCG in that rifle. Definitely the bolt. Brought it into the shop and told the guy at the counter what was going on. I gave him the BCG, he looked at it and gave me a hard time for it being dry and not lubed up like I didnt know what I was doing. I explained that I cleaned it off before bringing it in. So, he puts the BCG in a shop rifle with a snap cap and sure enough the bolt is garbage. He told me I should try an o-ring or new extractor spring, but they didnt have any so Id have to order one elsewhere. I had already considered doing that but was going to wait until bringing it in thinking the store would resolve it. They didnt, so I bought an upgrade kit and it didnt fix the problem and just kinda gave up on it and use a different BCG in that rifle when I want to use it.I gave 2 stars over 1 because they do actually have good prices on some stuff. After this experience though I dont plan on going back. Not worth the drive for me. Ive found other places to go or order parts from .Edit- I should have added this a while ago. After posting my review the owner reached out and was able to take care of the issue. All is good now!

The only place I was able to find subsonic .22 pew berries for getting rabbits in my backyard. And they had three different options, all at cheaper prices than I could find online (when shipping was factored in), and nowhere else I looked had any subsonics.

Bought 3 hand handguns from these guys and there great and there prices are alot cheaper then the big retail stores. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
