These guys are awesome. My truck was read ended at a stop light and they made it better than brand new. They helped me with everything from the insurance company to the rental car. 4/5 for getting my car towed? Maybe should have parked in a different stop? Then I wouldnt have had the pleasure of seeing the calendar eye candy they call men of this towing company. Guys were thorough and helpful, however, would have been 5 across the board had the feline in the front office kept her claws in tact and her trap shut. Id illegally park again to see that beautiful bald specimen again.

I am very pleased with the service I received here. The staff is very helpful and super nice. I had a scrape in my paint and the owner, John, came over and lifted it up for me while I was in the parking lot in a matter of 10 minutes. I was super nervous and hesitant coming there not knowing what to expect or how much the service would cost, but CARSTAR Empire was certainly very helpful and put my worries at ease. I will definitley come back here for any other services my vehicle needs done. Highly recommend this shop for all your car services!

My experience with CARSTAR Empire was amazing. I got hit in the back of my vehicle and I immediately brought it to Empire. They said to bring the vehicle in right away and asked if I needed it towed if it was unsafe to drive. I showed up and all the paperwork was prepared for me, insurance was already contacted, and a rental was waiting out front. I didn’t have to do one thing! Everything was so efficient and every day there was an update to the progress of my vehicle. I knew exactly what was happening and I felt very confident in leaving it with Empire. My vehicle was fixed in a quick turnaround and was in brand new shape. Empire is very reliable and once they called, I showed up and my vehicle was ready to go, parked out front. It was even vacuumed and spotless. I wouldn’t have received any service like this anywhere else. This was the greatest experience I’ve ever had and I won’t go anywhere else!

I came in for a dent repair to my rear driver side door. They took care of it within a week, painted the whole driver side to ensure color match, washed my car, and even cleaned the inside of the car! Not only does the car look good on the outside, it smells brand inside. They even checked all fluids. Great job!

To whomever this may help. I am not a rate and review guy, this particular situation I truly feel called for a review. I am working on the property owners site who is already aware that we are installing cameras. (I wish I got the gentlemans name who was driving the tow truck)The tow truck guy just came in, mounted my car proceeded to turn around where I then was able to make it over to him.I VERY cordially attempted to let him know what was going on, that there had to be some form of miscommunication. There was no attempt to help the situation get better. He proceeded to just go ahead and aggressively drive off with my car attached along with throwing up the middle finger.Now I completely understand the fact its a tow truck company and they have a job to uphold just like I do being on the site. However, the lack of professionalism, integrity and overall just being a human was completely lacking and way beyond a disrespectful level. I understand it is not in the greatest neighborhood, but none of this justifies the way the situation was handled.Hopefully the company can attempt to reconcile fraudulent tows better in the future, I still cant believe it. And its my hometown!

I had a fantastic experience with CARSTAR Empire. I was the victim of a hit and run. Once I got the okay from my Insurance company, CARSTAR went right to work on my issue. Deshond (CARSTAR CSR) provided daily updates on the status of my car repairs, and any fees that would be associated with the work performed. It was comforting having an awareness of what was going on due to prompt and frequent communication. CARSTAR was able to return my car to me like new and clean!

Everything went so smoothly ! From the very beginning. When they say “leave it to us” they really take accountability for that. I didn’t even have to deal with setting up the rental pickup and drop off. Deshonda was MORE than EXTREMELY helpful. I was updated daily about my vehicle repairs and progress. I got my car back sooner than estimated and I am extremely pleased with the bodily repairs. As a mother of 2 little ones, I thought I’d have to struggle with getting both car seats out and into the rental while also trying to figure out how to keep an eye on my kids. Deshonda held my baby and watched my toddler while I was able to remove the items I needed form my vehicle. When I picked up my car today, she also assisted the same way. Not to mention my kids loved her! Bill also helped getting the car seats out and into the car. Super professional, organized, and great customer service ! I am a manager at a company that has over 100 fleet vehicles, and we use carstar for all of our body work, I must say that all of my personal experiences with them have been exceptional, When we bring our vehicles to them they Always do a thorough walk around and make sure that everything is working properly and checked off, They Always do a great job on our vehicles and they often get the vehicles back to us sooner than anticipated, The truck that I dropped off Monday was expected back on Friday, It was done 2 days earlier and I picked it up yesterday, Fantastic job as usual.

I took my car to the CARSTAR Empire in New Britain, CT after being rear ended. Everyone with whom I dealt went out of their way to make my experience easy and pleasant. Deshond sent me personalized update e-mails every day to let me know how the repairs were progressing and was always very quick to get back to me (and extremely friendly) whenever I had a question. My car was finished ahead of schedule, and when I picked it up, I was able to leave my rental there, and the staff took care of returning it for me. Not only was the damage to the accident repaired, but they also cleaned my car inside and out and replaced a bulb above the license plate that they noticed was out at no additional cost. A fantastic experience! I would highly recommend them!

My son’s 2015 Altima was hit in the right rear quarter and need body and suspension work. Deshond at CARSTAR sent daily updates and answered any questions that I had, she was great to work with throughout the whole process. We also asked for a quote to fix body work on the front air dam which, when we went to get the car and pay for the deductible and additional body work, was $100 less than what was quoted.When picking up the car Dave came out and walked us around the car told us it had been cleaned inside and out and everything thing, lights, windows, etc had been tested to see they worked. Dave also mentioned that we should get a new battery for the key fob and that they engine battery was getting weak and should be replaced.Overall great people to speak to, very personable and simply awesome customer service along with quality work. I will be bringing any cars that need body work to CARSTAR in the future!

My car was towed from an apartment building that has a tow contract with empire but the driver never looked at my windshield where I clearly have an empire motors parking permit and they still made me pay $120 for the tow after trying to get $200 but when I asked for my receipt they changed the price dont ever use this place for anything

I manage a property in New Britain with a parking policy enforced by Empire/Carstar for the past year. In my experience, they have been nothing but professional in performing a job (towing vehicles) that is difficult and generally not popular (but necessary). They have been a good partner in ensuring that our parking policy is enforced in a timely and effectively way.

Received vehicle with missing plates not cool at all. How this location can lose some one vehicle plates? The have a sign that says they are not responsible for missing or damage to any property inside.. they mean every word of it.. Stay Away

I went to Empire Carstar the next day to retrieve some personal belonging from the car and was again met with professional and courteous staff. Being pleased with the service, I decided to have them do the body work and fix the car. The staff at Empire Carstar did an amazing job! They paid attention to detail and paint was matched perfectly. I would leave 1 star if possible first they tow my car from where I live the day after I move in because I need a permit so I get one and even get a sticker put on the car itself & this morning they tow it yet again obviously without even checking first ! Meanwhile I missed work & am 9 months pregnant & could go into labor at any minute just to go out to a missing car. Disgusted so unprofessional it’s unreal!!

Theyre out to rob you. Literally. They would probably tow an ambulance parked in front of a hospital if given the opportunity. Driver wouldnt tell me his name. Also claimed to be the owner. Obviously customer service is not important to him.

I was referred to Empire Carstar for body repair that my car needed and I was very satisfied with the work preformed on my car. I want to Thank Bill at the body shop for his great work and I also want to Thank Juan the Towing Supervisor for his service and great communication.

From start to finish these guys were great. Our car was hit and our insurance had us bring it to them. They could have treated us like just a job, but instead the sent us regular updates, kept us informed, arranged rental cars and even sent us a card when we mentioned in passing conversation that one of us had broken our leg in something unrelated to the car accident. It is this personal touch that really stands out. This place is quality through and through. (The negative reviews I see are all from people who got towed....I cant speak to that, but it appears a separate business in the same building. The autp body side is professional and personable.

They towed my car from MY APARTMENT BUILDING knowing I had a sticker on my car to verify that I live there and when I called to talk to them about getting my car back they hit me with I doubled back but I can not double park in my Apartment Building, the guy was so rude and kept screaming you double parked when I was trying to explain to him there was no way I could have. They also would not give me my car back for no charge I had to have a lawyer call them ! watch out for these people they are scammers.

Glad to hear they are losing contracts left and right. Ive heard some real ridiculous towing stories and unfortunately enough Ive had to deal with these people myself on a couple occasions. I can say that when they broke into my roomates car, and towed it from the complex (where we live btw) the driver pulled the seat all the way forward, latch broke and seat got stuck in that position, and yet they deny any liability when they clearly broke the seat. These people are extortionists, and hardly professionals. Oh and the god awful customer service provided for RESIDENTS whos cars get towed at their own place of residence, then subsequently extorted, is testament to what a lousy and illegitimate lot management business that this is, good riddance. This review doesnt apply to the repair shop, just the towing business.

SHELLSHOCKED!!!! Here I am minding my business and a friend calls me who is out of the country and needs help picking up her car that’s been towed from the university. I am status post a 15 hr CRAZY shift in the ICU as a nurse but muster up the energy to be a friend indeed following a few hours of day sleep.We call Empire/Carstar to find out more details about the car and the lady on the phone is already seeming short as we got lost on the way and end up showing up to pick up the car right at 4pm which is the due date. Also, we find out we can’t drive the car because there are no plates somehow. A gentleman helps us out who is seemingly courteous and he finds plates on the car and sees that it is registered with the state. I pay the fine and go out to the car to find it not to start. I call my friend who is out of the country and she calls Geico roadside assistance. They get there within 10 mins and pulls into the tow lot in front of the car and jumps the car. Suddenly, we hear yelling from the gate. The same lady is telling the man to get out as he is unauthorized back there. Things ESCALATE rapidly. The Geico man is saying sorry ma’am I’m roadside assistance just helping with a jump and she is screaming get out beligerantly and threatening to call the police. As we pull out, a tow truck pulls in front of gate and a nice gentleman steps out attempting to diffuse the situation. The lady is still stomping around, yelling, ranting, and raving. At this point, I’m just attempting to diffuse the situation as well; apologizing profusely, stating to the lovely Geico man that I take the blame for this situation (although I’m so confused).HOW DID THINGS ESCALATE so quickly? This all happens in less than 10 minutes. All along im thinking, I watch tow truck shows and think it’s just added drama. I didn’t realize that this is a culture. We are let out of the tow lot, I pull off infront of the establishment and bury my head between my knees and exhale as tears stream down my face. I’ve never experienced such abuse from a professional establishment before. Granted, the yelling was primarily directed to the poor Geico man who was simply there to assist but it was because of my friends car that this is happening. Being yelled at, cursed at, screamed at in such an obnoxious and beligerant way was severely unmanageable with 3 hours of sleep post a CRAZY 15hr shift in a busy ICU. I get it, we all have problems. But this was the MOST intense experience of my life. I do not recommend you getting your car towed or utilizing this business. Abuse of that kind can not be tolerated. Treating myself to small French fries- I deserve it!

After calling and agreed on dropping the car to be fixed. The front desk canceled my rental without informing me and decided not to take my car. It was very frustrating to agree on a plan to fix my car. Customer service is horrible and after returning and working with my insurance to resolve the issue, the building was closed locking me out with out telling the front desk was going to close at 5:00 PM. I will not recommend this body shop.

From the moment I entered the shop, meeting John and Steve, I felt I was treated in an very professional manner.The final product, my daughters repaired Acura, was delivered in excellent condition. The repair was completed days earlier than promised and the workmanship is an A+. Extortionists. Towed one of my employees cars and drove away recklessly with the car flailing around behind him going around corners.He was at a property doing work and they were notified of this. Unfortunately another shady tow company.

This dirty ass looking corrupted tow truck driver towed my car from visitors parking. My car was legit parked infront of the sign. I’m going to fight them.

I have nothing but problems with this company since they towed my car from an accident on Friday, I was unable to get my belongings from the lot on Saturday, today they gave me problems and the insurance company was told my car was not in their lot, I was told there was no tow slip and the woman hung up on me when confronted about the blatant lies to the insurance company . I would never recommend this company, the drivers were disrespectful and acted like I was bothering them when I asked for a business card and information for where my car was being brought to.

They towed my car even though I was parked in visited parking at an apartment complex. When I told the driver this, he literally said, I dont care. He also threatened me when I said this was (crap). I believe his name was Vag.
