This is a great, family owned hardware and paint store. In need of fasteners, I called first to make sure they had what I was looking for. The woman I spoke to was very nice, but knowledgeable too.Being told they had the fasteners, I headed right over. Upon arrival, I realized there was a little bit of a mix up, however, they had a reasonable substitute available and I prefer to give my business to this small business in lieu of a big box chain store.If we dont support these businesses, there will be none left, and we will have nobody to blame but ourselves.As for prices, this place is right in line with the big corporate stores.The store is clean, well organized, and well staffed. If you are in New Britain or the surrounding area and in need of items found in a hardware/paint store, I encourage you to give this place a try.I found my visit refreshing. Being able to talk to a person as the phone is answered; Priceless!Thanks Rutkowskis!!

I came in this morning with a rough start walked across town twice came back for the last time and the helped me and made my service and day much better 🙂

Excellent and friendly service. Had a new water heater installed. Had the old one taken out and new one installed within an hour, at a reasonable price. Highly recommend these guys.

Gem of a hardware store located right off of Broad street! Linda the owner and her staff are always so helpful and full of knowledge. This small store is packed with a wide variety of building materials, paint supplies, electrical, plumbing, even farm fresh eggs!! I recommend this hardware store to anyone looking to shop and support a local hardware store that’s been around for generations.
