The soda factory isnt really much of a soda factory. It is a soda barn. While I loved seeing antique machinery, the place was very run down. It needed a lot basic and deep cleaning. The floors were covered in ingredients. The machinery could use more cleaning as well. I loved the experience of making our own soda but it was just too dirty. I would come back but it needs more staff for cleaning. The staff werent too friendly either. The business owners need to reinvest there profits into this and then I would recommend it to other friends and family.

I had been wanting to go here. Finally got the chance and was very happy. I bought several of each kind and will have lots of fun with the gross sodas.

Love this place.Hasnt changed one iota, and we like it that way. Always have the classic flavors from far before my time and creating new flavors to appeal to the younger generation.I hope they never change.Always Averys!

Amazing local business. A reminder of a time gone by. When you walk in you instantly feel old factory vs the cookie cutter sense you get in stores nowadays. If you can, find out about making your own custom soda flavors. My son had that experience with his Cub Scout pack several years ago - Note: the stairs up to the mixing room are super narrow✌🏿

If you like soda and have never been, then you need to change that! It is right off 72 and a must if you are driving by.The employees are very friendly and are there if you have any questions about what to do or the flavors!And definitely follow them on Facebook! They will occasionally have special drinks created for events (like Covid or presidential candidates) every one is clever!

Flavored seltzer is glass bottles is a great alternative to store bought cans and plastic bottles. Oh their soda is pretty good too :)

So disappointing. We arrived 12:10 aftrr a half hour drive to Avery (our actual destination) and were told the bottling machine would be running again about 1:30 or 2:00. We came back at 1:50 and were told that the bottling process would begin in about 10 minutes. We picked up a couple of 6 packs of various sodas and waited around. At 2:10 I asked if they could let us know when the bottling process would start. The woman said, Youll hear it. At 2:25 the staff had been mostly hanging out and ignoring us.We has inquired about this at 12:10. We returned when they told us to, and had selected sodas for purchase, so we were obviously interested. The staff seemed to willfully ignore us, so at 2:25, after this treatment, we left. The visit left a bad taste in our mouth. Just rude and disappointing. Ridiculous way to treat eager customers. Additionally they lost the sale.

I love averys soda! Me and my friends walk all the time and the soda is so great! I’ve had multiple birthday parties there and I really enjoying making my own soda!

Averys been around for a very very long time its where I always go to get my soda pop a huge variety of flavors and they have Diet beverages the staff is excellent always there to help you they will take your orders out to your vehicle if needed if you havent tried Averys give it a try you wont regret it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just had a case delivered to PA ...so excited havent had Averys in 20 years...was a little safe that the bottles had labels instead of painted like I remember ...but other than that so excited that I can get the soda a great up with shipped to me..came in just a few days and nothing was broken...very cool that they can do this !!

Was in the area for vacation, saw a soda company that has been using the same formula for over 100 years, using cane sugar? I HAD to try it! It is amazing! They have some flavors cold that you can purchase. I tried their Lemon Lime Soda, my husband tried the Black Cherry. OMG! A real soda, in a glass bottle! It brought back so many happy memories of when I was a kid and all soda tasted this delicious! We were able to customize a case of soda, and bought 2 cases! We live in New Jersey, now we will have to visit Connecticut, just to get more soda!!! :) The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. To the owners, well done on keeping quality and tradition alive! :)

Great local business with crafty bottle labels.

We have been going here as a family for years and years, and each time we are very satisfied customers. They have a wide selection of bottled soda(each made by them) ranging from black cherry to pale ginger dry to orange cream. They even have a group of flavors called Sodasgusting with names like dog drool or kitty piddle that taste better than a Sprite or Coca Cola. Would definitely recommend to everyone in the New Britain area.

So cool to see the decor when you walk in. New Britain Pride really shines through the doors. The soda is fantastic and the owner and lady that lives right next door are fantastic. I made a purse and belt for them years ago with the bottle caps and they put them on display for me. We usually buy our soda there for parties. (The bottles get quite a reaction). We also like bringing bottles to other parties we go to that are out of town. Great place-I understand why theyve been around for so long. Keep up the good work!!

A central CT staple. This place is classic and nostalgic all rolled into one. I hope it never leaves because its always a good to pick up a case when Im back home.

Over the years their soda quality has gone down a lot. The golden ginger ale doesnt taste the same as it did 5 years ago. Bottles arent always filled. Some bottles are too sticky on the outside. the boxes break easily. service is light and sometimes slow. Not as busy as it used to be. They sometimes messed up orders and the prices for which you pay, so watch ur receipt. Although it is old-fashioned and historical it really is getting worse. The kids drinks taste ok, but the sodas are declining their good state of taste. I would not recommend it.

I loved Averysoda as a kid, and nothing has changed since. Well, almost. In keeping with the times, flavors with strong kid appeal have been added to the more traditional root beer, cream and grape varieties. Dont let the names of these current offerings fool you. They may be whimsicle (Alien Snot, anyone?); but, they are delicious (and certafiably kid approved). Be sure to teturn your bottles and have your loyalty card punched for free soda after twelve purchases.

Chaos. No signs to direct people where to line up for tours or where to line up to purchase bottles of soda. No staff helping to direct people or helping to control the chaos. Minimal parking available. The 6 packs were fairly expensive for sweetened, carbonated water.
