I needed to replace a couple Faucets in my home. Christina Faywas amazing! She researched the best matching options from photos I emailed her and gave me complete information within a couple of days. Then she had them sent to a location near my home. And when one small part was missing it arrived the very next day in my mailbox. Wow!

Needing to gut my bathroom, Bender paired me with Christina Fay. Lucky me. Feeling frazzled about knowing nothing for this project, her excellence eased my experience. Her knowledge of the products combined with showcasing each element in such a animated display (she whipped off her jacket to wrap around a glass sink) made my decision-making clear. I was the Director of a surgical center. I always searched for staff who had learned to discipline themselves in order to be helpful to others. Christina Fay would be at the top of my list.

Faced with 2 non working diverter valves and mfg closed doors years ago, we went to Bender plumbing, Christina Fay saved the day located in stock temp control valve and 4 stop valves. Saved us a lot of time and now it works better than origional designed.

This is the third renovation we have done with Leslie at Bender. The team there is amazing! We have spent hours looking through options and brainstorming. There is never any pressure to move faster or buy anything. They create drawings and renderings of options to help visualize the spaces. I cant recommend them highly enough.

We’ve been looking for tile for our bathroom and have visited quite a few places, no one seems to want to spend any time to help in the showrooms we went to. Well let me tell you, we went to Bender in New Haven on Christmas Eve at 11:45a.m., they closed at 1:00pm. That’s where we met Jenny, she was so knowledgeable, made the best suggestions and we walked out under 1 hour as happy as could be. She made the experience fun, and I am so excited to start our bathroom remodel. Jenny...I’m so excited, and I just can’t hide it!!! Lol Don’t waste your time, go to Bender’s.

The New Haven showroom is really beautiful!! I was able to easily find what I wanted, a shower door. The salesperson was very helpful with suggestions and ordering. Finally we set up delivery and we waited for it to arrive. It didnt show up, so we called to local showroom and they said they didnt realize they had a delivery. It was here shortly thereafter. Bender is a wonderful option to buy local for your kitchen or bath.

She was highly recommended from 2 very close friends of mine that had their kitchens remodeled with her help and advice. Well she is FABULOUS!!! So easy to work with, very personable, patience and always answers her phone. She gets a 10+ from me.

I worked with Jenni to pick out tiles for a bathroom remodel. She was so helpful and offered her ideas and expertise. Our bathroom isnt finished yet but I cant wait to show her pictures of what we came up with. It was a great experience and I was so happy with the decisions we made during the appointment. Jenni was also available by email for any questions I had before delivery and after. She took care of any problems we had scheduling shipping and was prompt and apologetic, even when it wasnt her problem to fix. We will definitely go back for the next remodel and will recommend to anyone.

I recently finished a complete home renovation project with the help of Eileen Kemp. I have done several projects like this and have never had a better experience! Eileen helped solve many of my design and budget issues with warmth and enthusiasm. Amidst this pandemic she was reliable, completely accessible, and delivered all items on time and within my budget. Having to make several decisions virtually, Eileen quickly grasped my design taste and offered me appropriate selections. Bender offered a wide range of kitchen and bath fixtures which made it very convenient for one stope shopping I would recommend Eileen and the Bender team for any renovation projects and will surely use them again.

I called this company recently b/c I have a high end faucet for my powder room that my local plumber was not able to find the cartridge replacement for. I went to the manufacturers site and saw that Bender was an authorized vendor of theirs. I called and spoke with Christina Fay and she was very upbeat and professional. She contacted the manufacturer for me and coordinated me getting this cartridge replacement. The reason for me writing this review is b/c I was amazed at how great their customer service was for someone who is not an existing customer of theirs. Bottom line, I had a great experience in dealing with Bender. Both Joyce in the Bridgeport showroom and Christina in the New haven location were awesome to deal with. This type of service is exactly what makes these businesses the way to go as opposed to the big box stores. Products may be similar but there is no comparison when it comes to support. And pricing was much better. Many people do not realize that. For my bathroom project the product had a manufacturing defect (when you read reviews for theses types of products it is number one complaint. Not the defect but the difficulty in resolution). Bender responded immediately and provided a replacement basically next day. This type of support is very rare these days. I am very grateful to have made Bender my choice and very satisfied with the experience. Highly recommended to DYIers in particular.

Bender was our primary source for our kitchen and bathrooms in a whole house renovation. Luann was extremely knowledgeable and helpful for the kitchen design. We were very happy that she was able to incorporate a special piece for our center island. The kitchen is great and we stayed on budget.

We were building a new home and I really needed help with the kitchen and bath design process. I was so fortunate to work with a goddess, Luann Chambers, who walked me through the entire process, from kitchen layout to choosing minor details. She was wonderful with her explanations of choices and gave perfect guidance, which prevented me from making decisions I might later regret. She gently got me in the right direction and even worked with my (sometimes difficult) builder to find resolutions to any issues that arose. Luanns knowledge is superior to anyone else I have worked with before, and Bender had so many great quality choices, that I didnt need to look any further!

We just had our master bathroom renovated and used Bender for all of our supplies except for tiles. Were very happy with how everything turned out. We worked with Christina Fay at Bender and she was great from start to finish. She was very knowledgeable, hard working and always on top of things, especially when things didnt go as planned. She was always prompt in her response and had great problem solving abilities.In term of price, Id imagine its more expensive than Home Depot, but the quality can be guaranteed and youre dealing with one professional throughout the process. Other vendors Christina recommended were also great with work with; they were Discover Marble and Don from Custom glass for our sliding glass door.

I appreciated the virtual assistance provided due to Covid-19! There was one hiccup with the delivery, but it was quickly corrected and apologized for, which is why I still gave them 5 stars. Also, when picking up a piece of plumbing equipment they helped me out by bringing it to my car instead of me coming into the store (I have to take more than normal precautions with Covid-19)! I appreciate them immensely!

I contacted Christina from Benders regarding getting a replacement cabinet for an existing kitchen. She was very helpful with getting the cabinet within a short period of time. I will plan on using Benders again if the service continues to be this good.

We just did a total renovation of our home including kitchen and 3 baths. Kyong ( the kitchen designer) and Christina (plumbing fixtures) were both awesome to work with. Kyong gave us great ideas for our kitchen layout and recommendations for the cabinets that would work best for our design with no upper cabinets. The cabinets are beautiful and the layout is perfect. Christina helped with all the plumbing fixtures she was easy to work with and attentive to our needs. The reception staff were also friendly and very helpful. Just getting ready to use them again for one of our apartments. Great company!

I went to Bender because I needed a plumber to fix my heat and hot water. Given the fact that my father is a plumber but hes 1000 miles away, I needed one now. Not knowing where to start my search, I went over to Bender in New Haven. They know who I was as soon as I came into the door. Hugos daughter... My dad was there all the time and they got to know each other. Frank and Tim (not sure if thats his name, but my dad calls him tim🤔) are always helpful they know what the are doing. We recently renovated 2 bathrooms in our home thinking we would use a contractor that referred us to Bender,using his contractor discount. We went into the New Haven store feeling completely overwhelmed but then we met Jen MacLauchlan. She is a great listener and guided us, fully understanding our cosmetic desires as well as our financial planning. Jens ability to assist in our designing without upselling convinced us to stay with Bender after we decided not to use that contractor. We found a contractor that was better suited for us and thought maybe we would price shop but Jen was very accommodating and gave us unconditional attention and very fair pricing. Staff and service goes beyond amazing. Went here with my family to select fixtures for our bathroom remodel. The New Haven showroom was a work of art. The design consultant, (Leisa was her name) really knew her stuff and walked us through not only the design aspect of what we were doing, but also helped navigate through the required items at the various phases of the project ... something I hadnt really considered.Heres what really gave me pause though: Our highly energetic 3 year old boy made it difficult for us to focus with the design consultant. The woman at the front desk (Jenny) saw this and basically took the initiative to baby sit him for us. She took him to her desk, pulled out toys, and crayons and just played with him so we could focus on selecting the fixtures... it was so beyond the call of duty that I didnt know what to say other than thank you a thousand times, and you dont have to do that.You can get a nice faucet at a lot of places, but you dont get service like that just anywhere. You see that sort of pride in professionalism beyond the requirement in every facet of that business, from the counterman to the design consultant.

No Service after the sale! I spent almost $30k remodeling my kitchen and 3 bathrooms with Bender. The cabinets and design were provided by the Wallinford store. They were great while the work was being done, but once completed they never called me back either.We went to the New Haven store to pick out fixtures for 3 bathrooms and 1 kitchen so it was a pretty big order. When is was delivered I found that the salesman had added towel racks and handles that went with the design we selected but we had not ordered. I sent them back and had the charges backed out. The big problem was when the plumber installed the toilet in the final bathroom. The toilet leaked after it was installed and did about $2000 worth of damage to my new kitchen floor and basement ceiling. The plumber said the part in the toilet was defective and we needed to file a claim with the manufacturer. When we called Bender all they did was give us the phone number of the toilet distributor. The part was sent back and the toilet manufacturer tested it and claimed it was not defective so they denied the claim. I couldnt get anyone from Bender to even return my call. If thats the kind of service you receive when you spend almost $30K, how much service do you think youre going get when all you buy is a faucet?? Go somewhere else. It cost me $2000 to learn that lesson.

We worked with Kyong to renovate our kitchen. She came out and measured everything in a flash, gave us a beautiful new design pretty quickly maximizing storage in a small space, and made the best of our budget. She was very flexible and patient with us exploring different cabinet finish options and granite patterns. We now have our amazing new kitchen installed and while we had a hiccup with the lazy susan, Kyong coordinated a repair with no problem. We definitely recommend Bender and Kyong, shes wonderful!

Great showroom, good selection, absolutely terrible service. Been there twice. The first time to scope it out and get ideas of possibilities for the remodel of our bathroom. The second time to narrow down our scope and to obtain some basic pricing. Outside of the receptionist at the front desk, we could get zero, and I mean zero, assistance either time from any of the people on the floor. Today we asked at the front desk and was told everyone was busy at the moment, but she would direct someone our way as soon as possible. 35 minutes later, we walked out. Though the drive to Norwalk is longer and definitely less attractive, I highly recommend Klaffs. At least the staff will acknowledge your existence and you can accomplish much more during your visit.

First off, I want to say I know the son personally so you would expect I would get a little more help with my questions. I recently bought a home in Madison on the water that I want to put marble in. I grew up in FL - so naturally I want tons of marble. There was a dal tile sample that I loved but it was a 12 x 12 counter top sample. I asked Max Bender can I get it in flooring even though its for counters? His response to me was I have no clue and then asked is there anyone who could answer the question .... His response Technical question pertaining to the tile should be answered directly by dal tile I would suggest calling them Really?!!! I am buy over 5000sq ft of marble and you can not do any work for the sale?! It truly amazes me how they can be in business if this is how they treat friends.
