Great experience with cleaning and repairing our rugs...and moth-proofing them. Years ago, we purchased one of them from Arakelian. They actually brought a few over to the house to help us decide which would work best. This was so helpful.

I showed up near closing time with seven rugs that needed cleaning and some repair. In spite of the late hour and lack of notice, I was treated warmly while the rugs were measured and catalogued. The work was done very promptly and now look like new.

Had my rug cleaned. Their pick up and delivery service was excellent and on time. They moved my furniture for me and worked around my schedule. The rug was returned in much better condition and no longer smelled of pets. Plus the delivery guys were great!

I have shopped for oriental rugs all over the world for over 35 years. The owner, John Balayan, is knowledgeable and helpful. Ive bought a rug and had several washed and repaired. The prices are reasonable and the quality of the repair work very good. The only minor issue is turnaround time for repair and washing, which can take some time, as the rugs are sent out.

John is wonderful to deal with - so accommodating and knowledgeable and I also happen to like his wife Sandy ( who I went to school with) - just learned today that they do upholstery - I’m going to use that service as well as buying & cleaning my oriental rugs!

This was our first experience with Arakelian, but it wont be our last. John Balayan is a consummate professional – knowledgable, courteous, and gracious. When inquiring by phone about having large vintage rugs cleaned after a move, he offered to drop by, since he was in the neighborhood, to see them and give a quote. He identified the rug types, offered to do a minor edge repair on one for free, and, after we agreed on the price, he left with the rugs and followed up promptly with an email confirming price and estimated completion date. So easy! We later decided to add cut-to-size pads to the order. Today he delivered the rugs and pads, neatly rolled, and offered to return to unroll them when were ready. It was such a pleasure to work with John!

Arakalian Rugs is the most experienced and professional oriental carpet cleaner Ive ever experienced. The courtesy is exceptional.They will pick up your rug, clean it, and deliver it, and put it back in place.They also do repairs.I would definitely recommend them.

Not good. still had spots on braided rug plus there was an area that had become un stitched and wasnt fixed. had to send back for another cleaning and repair. had good experience last year with two rugs cleaned. I also think the prices are very high. hope to be satisfied when rug is returned.

Although we have used the rug cleaning services at Arekelian in the past, it had been over 15 years, and we had forgotten how wonderful their service is. We recently had three rugs cleaned, including 2 large and 1 smaller area rug. Two of the rugs needed new edge binding, and all were returned in excellent condition.
