Great little spot with a large assortment of hats. I went in thinking I was one size and leaving knowing that I was a different one. Staff were very attentive and helped me choose the right hat and size for me. Will be back for another one soon.

Delmonico Hatter is a very very nice shop to buy all sorts of hats and caps for men and a relatively decent selection for women as well.They have hats for every season of the year. My wife and I bought hats for vacation. I ordered online and it was easy and a great experience. My hat was a bit large, so they sent me size reducing inserts, but this particular hat didnt have a band I could tuck them in to. So I drive down to the store and did an easy exchange. The store itself is awesome too. Great online marketplace and storefront.

Wonderful store - a true hat store. Great in store service. There are not many old school hat stores left. Drove down from Burlington, VT, about four hours this past Saturday, after cruising their huge selection on their website. Had a specific Stetson Fedora in mind. They had it in both colors and a variety of sizes in stock. Left with the hat. Very satisfied.

Ive purchase caps from Delmonico in the past and never had a problem, until now.My cap was shipped in a thin letter box rather than in a box that wouldnt have crushed the cap.When I called, I happened to get Samantha, the NON-customer service person. Oh boy! I tried to explain to her that had they shipped the cap in an appropriate sized box, I wouldnt have received a creased cap.She then went on to suggest that all of the caps/hats sent out would get crushed. WHAT? If that were the case, Im sure theyd be out of business. Who wants to spend good money and receive a crushed cap that they have to repair?I tried to tell the Stubborn Samantha that I have purchased caps before, never had a problem until now, but she wouldnt have any of it.Finally I requested to speak with Mr. Delmonico who cordially handled my situation.Hopefully you wont have a problem with your order. If you should, dont waste your time speaking with Stubborn Samantha.

I wanted a Stetson Stratoliner and looked for one in hat shops in San Francisco and did not find one, so I resorted to buying online through Amazon/Delmonico Hatter. The hat arrived timely and I tried it on and it was too big. I followed their procedures and they sent me liner to help it fit. It still did not fit. So, I applied for return of the hat. They do not pay for the return and it cost me $22. So, I paid $22 and got nothing. 1 star review for that. That is what I would call a very bad deal for me and I would not purchase from them again.

Shop Elsewhere - I just left DelMonicos after spending 15 mins looking at hats and being ignored by the 3 people working. As one staff member walked away from the register, I hoped being I was the only customer in the store he would assist me. Nope - he looked directly in my face and as I realized he wasnt going to help me, I stepped aside for him to walk over to a desk & sit down. After a couple more mins of complete silence in a small store with 3 people, I finally left. No wonder brick & mortar stores are failing. Horrible experience & true waste of time.
