John did a GREAT job at installing my new dashcams - two in the front, one in the back. The workmanship was absolute quality from beginning to end. Cables were neatly tied and hidden, and things were set up and fully functional the moment I picked up my car. He was also able to install and configure my remote battery. What I loved about John is that he was able to accommodate my crazy schedule, and waited around for me even after closing time. John took the time to ask me about my specific needs, wants, and preferences, and he KNEW **EXACTLY** where to mount the rear camera so that the rear windshield wiper would also clear the view for the camera, WITHOUT the camera being in an obtrusive spot. He did a rush job without it looking like a rushed job. Ultimately, he did a great job, and I would HIGHLY recommend this place for a job done PROFESSIONALLY, QUICKLY, and at a GOOD PRICE.

He literally drew out how my sound system would be installed and exactly what the prices were for everything that I wanted done. Went to LI Sounds with my spare backup key for my Camry, because it did not work. I asked the gentlemen behind the counter if he could check the battery in the key. Well, not only did he open the key, he replaced the battery inside and asked me to see if that solved the problem. Unfortunately, I wasn’t driving the Camry that day, so I couldn’t check it. The counter person suggested that when I got home, I should check to see if it worked and if it didn’t, it was possible that the program had been erased. He then showed me on his office computer how to find a you tube video (for my car) on how to reprogram my key. He was great !Fortunately for me, the replacement battery had totally fixed the problem.Without exaggeration, he probably spent a half hour with me and the charge was $5.In these times of making a quick buck, LI SOUNDS, breaks that mold. They were personable, definitely know what their doing, and just a pleasure to do business with. This store is a throwback to when Americans had integrity and weren’t in it just to make a buck

Let me start by saying i came to the shop about 2-3 weeks ago to get my Amps gains and crossovers adjusted, had to comeback today on my lunch break because i noticed my subs were clipping and the gentlemen who re-tuned my amp fixed it ! didnt cost much and was helpful and made sure i liked it before leaving. highly recommend the shop. I used the services of LI Sounds to install a new modern Kenwood head unit on my 2001 Acura TL. I chose to use LI Sounds based on the recommendation of a family member as well as the positive reviews I read online. John, the owner of LI Sounds, listened to what I had to say regarding what I was looking for in a head unit and gave me his suggestions. He was straightforward, easy to work with, and didnt try to sell me things I didnt need. He had all the parts needed for installation in stock and was able to fit my car in for installation that same day even though I was a walk in customer with no scheduled appointment. The installation itself was clean and has a factory fit and finish. Im happy with the product and the install. I will use LI Sounds again in the future if the need arises.

Finding independent car audio installers on Long Island is getting harder & harder as people move away from custom installs and big box stores take over the remaining business. I needed to replace and upgrade the stereo system in my 2005 Tacoma. John was very honest with me and didnt try to sell me an over the top system with an amp and speakers that I didnt need. He explained my options and after I made my selection we set a date for the install. I showed up 1 week later and John was 100% ready for me. He had the wiring harnesses and the mounting hardware as well as my new Sony touchscreen radio laid out on his work table. There were a few issues with getting the new stereo to fit but he is a seasoned professional and I had my new radio installed and looking and WORKING great in about 1.5 hours. I cant recommend John & LI Sounds enough. I was very happy with the work preformed and will go there first the next time I need something done.

Called to schedule an appointment to get a remote start installed and the individual who answered was extraordinarily rude. Aside from the fact that this is a service based industry, he wanted me to bring in my vehicle not once, but twice. Once to give me a quote and take a deposit, then another to actually install. I’m an attorney with 3 businesses. Not only are most of us busy enough to come in once, let alone twice. It’s not like I was calling to have a transmission redone. It’s just a remote start. Called another provider in NHP and got a next day appointment for installation. Having protocol is one thing. Being obtuse and dismissive toward people who want your business is incomprehensible.

This guy is a garbage in person, he only ripped me off and on top was rude, take it as advice don’t waste your time and your money with type of people

All my friends and family have been going to him as well for tints, audio systems, and remote starts. There is no BS sales gimmicks with him. I would highly recommend anyone to go to him!

I came in to have my radio replaced with a new Bluetooth radio on my Honda. Not only did he offer a radio at a great price with exactly what I wanted and didnt pressure me into buying something out of my budget, but he fixed a screw-up by a previous lazy installer for no extra charge, even though it took him more than half an hour longer to fix it. He also remembered at the end to tighten my license plate when I had forgotten to remind him. Thank you!

I had two things done with this shop I had a dash camera and an illuminated star put on my Mercedes-Benz both times he was professional and the job was done right and did not take all day, and I also appreciate the explanation what he did and how it was installed on my car. ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. I was having a very hard time finding a mechanic that could efficiently put a radio in for me. After searching four or five different local shops I came to li sounds and not only did he put the radio in, he put in the adaptor so it wouldn’t rattle, all for an extremely reasonable price. He went above and beyond and I would recommend everyone goes here for all their needs. The owners a great guy and is extremely easy to talk to, very knowledgeable and talks you through every step so you know you aren’t going to be taken advantage of. 10/10 recommend

I have a cobra and li sounds put an amplifier in trunk and put speakers in the car to play off my phone, and he installed a bluetooth radio in my girlfriends crv....the job was done on time and very professional...he was hands on and didnt pass it on to a helper...

Great products ; owner works hard

This is the fourth of fifth after market stereo I had installed over the years, and it is by far the best. I went to LI Sounds with my SUV and a giant old School amp (Diamond Audio 7104). He designed my system including new head unit, SAT Radio, hands free phone, component speakers, 15 subwoofer and sub amp. The big amp was a stealth installation, no one can tell it is there. The system is tuned great, absolutely the best system I ever had, even better than audiophile system I have at home. Install is perfect. Some follow-on work was done, great after sales service. The owner is old school and really knows his stuff. I am very happy with the job.Ive been down the road with the cheap guys, they don;t know anything and usually there are a lot of problems afterwards. He is not the cheapest out there, but for an extra 10-15% in cost, you get high quality, great service and fast, dependable work. Highly recommend.

He is an ignorant old man who yells at his customers. They will rip you off! I brought my car to Best Buy and had my car starter installed for half the price! I would not recommend this place to anyone. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else!

The owner couldnt have been nicer or more accommodating. I had to have a radio switched in my Rav4. I had the new radio and he switched it for me quickly, neatly and economically when other shops couldnt be bothered.

I’ve been dealing with John for years. Honest and reliable and does great work.

I added a sound system there. The owner is very rude, he doesnt even treat well costumers who are spending a lot of money here. I will not tecommend this place.
