The customer service from this establishment is great! My mom has been unable to leave the house recently and has called frequently to get deliveries. Melissa always does her best to make sure our orders are taken and always follows up afterwards to make sure its correct. Will definitely be continuing to shop here for her support and overall kindness !

Its Good That This Foodtowns Still Open!! I Thought They Should All Still Be Opened This Year. But Only Two Foodtowns Are Still Open. This Store Is Excellent They Have Good Sales and What I Wanted Was In The Store Today. Thats great!! Then I Give Them Five Stars!!!!!

Produce is pretty good, store is clean (but could use a remodel). Would have given 5 stars as this is my go-to supermarket, but the cashier that just checked me out today was very rude. Overall the cashiers are pleasant when I go in, but today was something else. I understand you dont want to be there, but it doesnt hurt to smile and help a customer when they have a question rather than motioning your hands and letting out a big sigh like Im interrupting you and responding with oh, I dont knoProbably wont go back there any time soon. There are friendlier faces and decent prices at the many other supermarkets in the area.

Lousy. if you dont speak you wont get attended. the people here just pretend not to see you. and when they do speak to you they give you an attitude like your bothering them.

I should provide some clarity on my position. I would have given 1 star based on my original visit. Ive lived locally 12 years now and repeated visits were not better. I was a BEST shopper and since they have sold out, i figured to stop in and try again.3 stars given as there is no competition in the vicinity. Produce on a Sunday was marginal, soft and rather unpleasant. Cold Cuts were moderate but the attendant was great, bakery was good....Meat section was a 1. Black meat (read as old or expured)or marginal visual product is far from the quality anticipated or expected in a neighborhood such as ours.I feel that while effort has been made in the years ive been here, the store should capitalize on its scenario and step it up, hold the prices down and accelerate into a lead position.Ownership should take the comment to heart and come out as number 1, not because they are the only one but moreso because the effort is achieved and the locals push it to number 1.

Love this place. The staff is excellent, the manager, Glenn, is fantastic and cant do enough for his customers, the produce is incredibly fresh, and it the store isnt gigantic so you can navigate through it quickly. Definitely my go to store for groceries.

Convenient, lots of parking. Meats arent always that fresh. Bread baked on the premises were a bargain but prices have tripled. Some of the cashiers are grumpy.

They need an express line! Its 2021 however, so dated. No self checkout is bad enough at least have a 12 items or fewer line.

The place always have fresh produce and good selection at the deli. In the spring and summer time you will find a wide choices if locally grown produce and flowers. And there is never a long line up so its easy to get in and out for quick things.

Its a good store. The only thing is that they havent had good bananas for the past couple of months.

**Update. I received the message below stating someone would contact me after filling out the form. Its been over a week and no one has contacted me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS.**Placed an order online for delivery to arrive on 4/17 at 11AM. It never arrived. I called the number listed 25x between 11am and 5PM, no answer. At 5pm, I went into the store and a manager told me they were overwhelmed and couldnt make the delivery .I said i understand, but a call or email notification would have been nice. Either way, I said i understood and asked for them to cancel the delivery. She said okay and canceled my delivery.While in the store, I picked up the items I needed. Fast Forward to 4/26 (Nine days later), they attempt a delivery. I explained I already canceled my order. Luckily I was home and refused the delivery. I just checked my Credit Card, and the charge showed up on 4/26. No one answers the phone there. Terrible**Update**. I received the message below stating someone would contact me after filling out the form. Its been over a week and no one has contacted me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS.

Way overpriced. Nasty cashiers. Cleanliness issues throughout store. Limited selection. Much better supermarkets out there. Would only return for emergency needs.

The New Hyde Park Ferreira/Foodtown store has been our favorite neighborhood stores for many years. This is the only store we have shopped for fresh deli, bakery, and produce almost every week—sometimes several times a week. Through most of the quarantine, we have so appreciated that the store was stocked on most of the items we needed.However, I was very upset by what I saw on Monday, June 30th, when three different employees were either not properly wearing masks or not wearing one at all:1. The gentleman at the deli counter wore a mask that was not covering his nose.2. I turned around to see a produce employee wearing his mask only on his chin as he was speaking with two other employees.3. As we waited online to check out, One register employee had his mask completely off his face as he spoke with two other employees (who were wearing their masks) for at least 5 minutes while a customer was checking out. My husband asked him to put on his mask as we were checking out, and he picked up a drink and said he cant drink while wearing a mask.These actions made us so uneasy that we no longer feel safe shopping this store during this pandemic.I didnt want to write this negative review until I tried to reach and and ask that the store fix the problems. I tried to call a few times to speak with a manager and kept getting put on hold. I gave up and tried email. First, the store. No response. Second, the main Ferreira e-mail. No response. Third, the marketing director. Nothing.And so I am now writing this review to alert people to my unsafe experience. Unfortunately, we will no longer be shopping this store until they resolve their unsafe practices.

Best to look at circulars to price compare. Once in awhile Foodtown beats Stop & Shop and Shop Rite.

This spot has weathered many days and offers a good selection of items that anyone would want. While the prices are competitive, they arent the best, but the selection and option, without having to go to larger supermarkets is great in the area, farther away from the locality, is unmatched. Is a solid option for staples when needed

Not a good experience at all. I appreciate the freshness of your produce. The staff is rude and ignorant of the products you carry.I asked a young man for a product you have been carrying forever, his answer....never heard of it but promised he would check the stock. I waited, he went to talk to his friends. I reminded him that I was waiting he ignored me. Cashier did not understand English. I do like your products, but you need more knowledgeable staff.

This is my go-to store in New Hyde Park. Walker the manager is always so helpful, they have TONSSSS of beer and the deli is always fresh and tasty.The bakery always has deals and fresh classic and unique offers.Parking is a breeze in their lot and of course it’s free.I also signed up a month and a half ago to their emails. They have a really nice circular emailed to me every week and they always have some time of $10 off or free time Giveaway.Happy to support this business. It’s made up of really kind people (met the owner, such a nice guy who really cares about our community)

I found the sugar free Paulaner raspberry jam I covet and it was on sale with a dollar off each jar. They have a good selection of fruit, but Ive never tried their meat dept. There is plenty of parking around the store and one should check their weekly circular for reduced price items. Also note that they have a change counting machine in the front area of the store, if youve got a jar full of coins you can dump them there and have them easily sorted.

Good prices, they have their own bakery, good meat department, fresh fruits and vegetables. I love shopping here.

The staff is kind, the produce and meats are always fresh. They have a bakery on premise. Larger beer selection. Ferreira’s Foodtown of New Hyde Park is my favorite market in the neighborhood.The parking is free and there are always spots, their Foodtown On The Go app is easy to use and they always have promotions on their weekly email. Oh, I love their weekly email, always posting coupons, “secret deals” and giveaways.Fun fact: like their Facebook page and you’ll be the first to see their secret deals and giveaways. They must have given out hundreds of gift cards!I highly recommend this wonderful store.♥️

The overall selection is good. It has a bit more of what I normally buy than the HMart next to it. The meat and fish sections are not as good as elsewhere, but they do carry some cuts of meat that other markets dont. Prices are good; the staff is great.

I like the idea of organic foods and meals. However, I prefer my local grocery store. Organic food is a one minute stop. Once in a year I would go to whole foods and shop.

I went in this store. Didnt see anything I wanted at this particular time. As I left and was walking through parking lot, the manager ran out, asked stupid questions and wanted me to open my coat. I decided to indulge him, lucky for him. Of course there was nothing there. He wanted to know why I parked across the street came in and bought nothing. I didnt see what I wanted. He says I didnt this before. Also didnt have what I wanted. I suggest you shop elsewhere. As for me, I will go back to see if this happens again.

I bought some peanuts! They were all expired, however I didnt know till I ate it! Unfortunately, I had mixed it with a bowl of other nuts! I had to throw them all in the trash! I returned the peanuts but I didnt like the manager! Also, I checked all the peanuts in the store and they were all expired!
