Im trying to be fair but also post my honest personal experience there today. As we were leaded to the table, the hostess just toss the menu on the table and walked away. I found it kind of weird so we looked to see how he would treat other guests. Two Caucasian guest walked in and they were treated with a friendly smile, walked to their table and the menu was nicely placed with a friendly greet as he walked away.We placed our order, and our drinks never made it to the table. I mentioned it to the cashier how we were treated, pay my bill and walked away with no fuss. The pen is still stronger than the sword.We wont be going back there again.
Great family location! It took a while to find a great Diner when I moved to the area 3 years ago but Im glad I found this local gem. Being from Long Island means you have at least 6 Diners in a 10 mile radius. Yet to find one that the food tastes great and the hospitality is wonderful is harder then finding the remote stuck down in your grandfathers recliner. Its a family run joint and amazing places usually are. They just care more about the business when your blood, sweat, and tears run through the veins of an establishment. Weve developed a relationship with the daughter, by that I mean she recognizes us, even though we do not know each others names. Now my wife is pregnant and really showing these days and wow did she come over to congratulate us. Every time she passed by she kept smiling and that made my wife feel great. My wife doesnt feel so hot these last couple of months and this made her day. I cant wait for the days that we turn from a table of two to a table of three or four! My kids will grow up eating here as long as we live here. Thanks Omega family for your service, smiles, and of course great food!
The food here was great the the waiter was very helpful. This is one of the few diners open late and the place wasnt too crowded we we got there around 9

Bad takeout service. No napkins, No utensils l, No condiments. Really??? And you’re 4.3? You’re more like a 3.4 rating. Good luck. Just for the hell of it, I give a one star even though you don’t deserve a star. Get your staff updated, pay attention to detain.
Very nice friendly place, great breakfast, very reasonably priced for the amount of food. Service was great, had a great conversation with whom I believe was the owner. We spoke over how much pepper I used on my eggs. Enjoyable meal, cant wait to go back with my wife when I am in the area.

Comfortable, spacious seating. Bright atmosphere, accommodating, and friendly waitstaff. Clean area with staff wearing masks when serving /handling food. Visible sign suggests patrons wear masks when entering and many obliged. Hot, delicious food; reasonably priced. Not overly crowded and perfect temperature inside the restaurant (not too cold; not too hot). Respectable noise level. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I eat here a lot. Most of the time the food is spot on. Today my omelet was a little small and my bacon came out crisp when I didn’t order it like that. My husband ordered fries and got potatoes. The guy just dumped the plates on the table and walked away, not even waiting to make sure everything was ok. I’ll still eat here since most of the time I don’t have a problem.
My husband and I walked in the dinner they sat us at a table and someone from behind the bar came and gave us water. We sat there for about 15 minutes before my husband had to ASK the waiter if she was going to serve us. Meanwhile their were 3 other couples across from us that the waiter was serving. Several times she walked past us and never acknowledge that we were there. Overall the food was ok but the service must get better. Money is not black nor white; its GREEN. BTW the waiters name was Denise.

I love their Belgian Waffle. They make decent breakfast food. I rarely order lunch foods here. The few times Ive tried it wasnt bad but there just wasnt anything to make it worth the prices; nothing special. The decor and vibe of this place is really what makes it worth coming back to everytime. I much prefer the atmosphere in this diner in comparison to some others around the area.
Food always freshly prepared at comparable prices. Portions are large and staff friendly and helpful. Management is community minded and has contributed to recent fundraising for family of police officer killed while on traffic duty.

The Omega diner was recently voted Best Diner in Nassau County, and with good reason. The owner insists on a clean orderly and safe environment with top notch service and excellent food.
Ive been to this place twice and so far it has not disappointed. The staff is friendly and the greeters are very courteous as you enter. My last waiter was on point with communication and accommodated requests very openly. So far Ive had the Delancy sandwich, which comes in a garlic toasted roll loaded with pastrami. You get to choose potato salad or French fries and it comes accompanied with coleslaw, pickle spears and freshly made onion rings. This sandwich was AMAZING! the second time I went for the Duo, which is basically 2 sandwiches with protein of your choice (I chose corned beefamd pastrami :) ). The came on sesame soft rolls and the accompaniment again was potato salad for the side and pickle spears with coleslaw. These were also very good with the exception of the corned beef which felt like it was missing nice pickling spices for flavor. Sor far my mind is set in returning.I cant seem to find the image for the delancy sandwich but I might just ordered it again and update the post.
Turkey a bit dry on the club but everything else was great. Service is excellent as usual.

Good, but slightly slow service. A coffee server can over once & only refilled my cup a little bit. He was somewhat annoyed that I asked him for a little more coffee. Place didnt knock my socks off.
Its a shame they are in such a hurry that they give you a tea cup with dirty coffee drops. And floaters on your water.. i ordered ham and eggs he brought bacon and eggs.He was a older (grampa like) waiter. I felt bad so told him to leave it but maybe they need to have them slow down and listen and pay more attention to the presentation..
Everything a traditional Greek diner should be. Hadnt been there in 25 years. Still excellent.
Nice fresh food-had a burger and eggs with canadian baconboth quite enjoyableonly thing the decaf was either old or burnt (tasted funny)

Havent been back to New York in almost two years and was really looking forward to a good diner burger. Ordered a medium burger and got a well done burger Hate when that happens. The service was really good though.

We were really hungry for brunch. Fortunately the Omega is still open. They feed you very well at this establishment. You could just about get any dish you could want here. The place was crowded due to the fact that several diners in the area closed during the pandemic.
This is our family’s go to diner. We come from Glendale, Queens to eat here. The prices are good and the portions are generous. If you’re an early bird you can get great prices for breakfast. You will never have an issue finding a parking spot. Post Covid they do a great job with social distancing. Highly highly recommend!
This place is unbelievable. The manager was willing to argue with me over not having a mask (I am vaccinated) for 5 minutes, rather than just seating me and my children.It wasnt until he realized that I wouldnt wear a mask and I was leaving, that he became willing to seat me. I didnt stay and will never be back.
Had my first bad incident that Ive had at your place and I trust and hope its the last because we really enjoy going to Omega. This morning my guest and I got there around eight. We could already feel the mayhem. One server was running around telling people that she had to pick up the cook and thats why everything is running late. She couldnt have the Cook standing out in the cold waiting for the bus. That party of two with whom she had words left disgruntled. Our difficulty was that we ordered and then 30 minutes later, our server came back and told us she made a mistake and she forgot our order. We then re-ordered and then 15 minutes later she brought out the wrong order. Yes, you read that right. She got the order wrong twice. It already had been 45 minutes to get our food and I did not like the new concoction that she served so I gave it to my guest and just had a breakfast of coffee. I told her that she got the order wrong twice and that we had ordered sausage in the omelette not broccoli, but she told us that we rushed her and that it was our fault. I believe truly that this is an isolated incident and I look forward to coming back to your restaurant. There seems to have been quite a number of people in the diner, more than usual. However, I was quite surprised that neither the server nor the hostess offered an apology or any effort to discount the bill.

Omegas in my hometown so I used to go to this diner all the time in high school (especially around 2017-2019ish). Plentiful seating with a variety of choices. Excellent service. My fave picks are buttered toast, coffees/hot chocolates, baked potatoes, grilled cheese, french toast. Ive tried some of the glass display pastries too, theyre decent (nothing special if I remember correctly). Has all your standard diner stuff (cold cereals, fruits, ice cream, coffees, a television, etc.). This place is nostalgic for me =)...its a reliable restaurant with a friendly aura. I know a lot of people come here regularly.
My favorite diner. Not over priced like I feel most diners are these days, and the quality is always amazing. The staff is also great.

Worst diner ever. Customer service from our first server was horrible and he literally replaced himself and we had a new server who was super sweet. The food was horrible. I ordered a shrimp panini with Swiss cheese and the shrimp was from a box, cheese was not melted and the shrimp was frost bitten. Horrible sandwich and horrible customer service.
Charged me 28$ for a Greek salad with salmon. Absurd. Don’t order salads here.

One of the best diners in the area, the food is very affordable and very delicious. I especially like the sausage and their bacon is the way it should be. The breakfast even includes a complementary small glass of orange juice and the service was very friendly and attentive. The overall atmosphere is also very comfortable and there is enough parking. We will definitely go there more often

Ravishingly delectable food; heaping portions. This was a fine start to our Saturday and the staff was all friendly, courteous and astute expecially with the coffee refills. I would highly recommend this diner for anyone wanting tasty and affordable food!
Clean and inviting. Greeted the moment I walked in. The diner seating is indoors, however they are practicing social distancing. After being seated my server greeted me within 2 min (or less). I had the french toast chalah 2 eggs and bacon. Everything was great, the French toast was a little bit soft in the middle, but it didnt break my entire experience. Food was okay, but Ive had better with cheaper price.The waiter wasnt great, she spoke extremely fast even when I ask her to repeat herself because couldnt understand her. And was in such a rush while taking orders. Food came quick however, which made me think they rushed and made it.

My friends and I go every weekend; its a small group of us but we were asked to leave because there were other people that needed to be seated. We still had food on the table and also some of us were still drinking coffee. We were the only ones that were asked to finish up and it was completely appalling because we go every weekend. I wish to not say it was a race thing but we were the only black people in there.

So the people who greet you at the door are the nice part of this diner. OUR waiter was nice but never checked on us. I needed water for a half and hour and my brother wanted coffee..we had to resort to waving our hands back and forth. The bus boy was the rudest person ever. He was nasty to my mom and he mumbled under his breathe everytime he saw us. The food came out I ate some and felt sick. My onion rings were dripping in oil and nothing but dough. My burger had no taste at all. It was not a good experience. BUT if you want good service hang out by the door cause the people at the front of the diner were the best part.
