I have used Uptown Restoration several times in years past, and always have been pleased and impressed with their high standards and skill levels. However, I never anticipated how much I would depend on them until my house burned in August, 2018. Although the fire was severe, many pieces of my furniture did not burn, but everything suffered extreme water and smoke damage. My family treasures looked terrible and were in pretty bad shape, but Uptown Restoration came promptly to my rescue. They showed up, quickly, at my ruined house with their moving van and picked up many loads of big and small pieces. Over a relatively brief time of 5 months, Bobby, Peter, and the entire staff of skilled artisans were able to accomplish the seemingly impossible and restored my many antiques to only what I can describe as a BEAUTIFUL condition. I have 2 very old antique ladder back chairs that i inherited as family heirlooms. Both very very old and treasured. One is an armchair ladderback from william and Mary period (1720’s) both had rush seats that had deteriorated and broken, i didnt want to trust these chairs to anyoneBoy was i glad when I found this place!! Professional to the core, knowledgeable and an expert craftsman! He put new rush seats in both chairs and they are once again functional and better than ever! His restoration was true to the history of the chairs and historic form. He maintained constant communication and did the work on both chairs in less than a week! I highly reccomend this place, you will not be disappointed!

I needed to find a place that could repair an old wood TV tray that I wanted to keep for sentimental reasons. The owner responded to my email within minutes and returned my phone call (as soon as he hung up with his previous call) to let me know they could repair it. When I brought it in before work, one of the employees stopped what he was working on to assess my tray. He figured out the issue and fixed it immediately - free of charge! If I ever need a piece of furniture repaired again, I’m coming back to Uptown Restoration! I highly recommend them. Great business.
