Mr. Julio is one of the coolest people you will ever meet. He’s definitely old school and is a true watch lover. Very lucky to have gotten to see his store. Absolute legend!
The best vintage watch shop in the quarter, and the best business owner generally in the corner. Julio is the best!
Happened to stumble upon this place while visiting the area. Was no disappointed with the owners fantastic watch collection. Very nice guy. When I need a vintage watch, I know where to go for it.
One of the nicest guys I ever met I had to rush out of town the night I was planning to buy a watch had the best conversation with the owner was my favorite part of new Orleans if I could I would give 10 stars I know one thing I will be back to get that watch I wanted 2!!! Really enjoyed his shop he had the best an nicest selection of watches that an enthusiast would love to see Perfect 5 out of 5!!!
The owner was so knowledgeable and eager to sell me a watch because he knew I would love and appreciate it, not just for his commission. Definitely a great place to stop while visiting the area. He also offers shipping and guaranteed authenticity! Great Experience!!
My girlfriend and I were on the hunt for vintage watches in the FQ and were referred to Quarter Past Time by several area shop owners. We had only a general idea of what we were looking for and Julio was more than happy to oblige us by showing us a wide range of vintage watches including some of his personal collection. Julio was a pleasure work with and helped us find the perfect watch at a great price. As others have stated, this is not a tourist shop, but a vintage watch/radio shop for serious collectors. I will definitely go back and will recommend it to my friends.
Spent 4 full days in New Orleans and made 4 daily visits to this shop during normal business hours. All 4 times it was closed with no explanation. No one ever answers the phone. There are no business hours posted. Please DO NOT take time away from your vacation to visit this store. It does not deserve your business, assuming it does open sometimes. The Watch and Clock Shop on Gravier St. Is a MUCH better bet. Normal business hours and a nice selection of clocks and timepieces.
I purchased a beautiful Rolex Datejust a few months ago and love it. I feel I got a great deal after doing some research I saved around $1,000.00. I will be going back to buy another watch!
An interesting shop but all honesty we did not buy anything we will window shopping
Amazing place and so much fun
Really nice guy, huge selection of vintage watches, pretty good prices.
Truly an amazing collection of high quality vintage watches! Julio can explain all of the details about any particular watch or any given brand. Amazing quantity and quality of knowledge! I have made a number of purchases from Julio and love each and every watch that I had purchased. for example: an amazing tricolor Gruen in a Weber case, multicolor gold Longines grasshopper, or a Rolex UFO model (very rare).
Are you ever in New Orleans the best place to party
I saw the entrance to Quarter Past Time thru the window during lunch withmy wife. I appreciate fine time pieces so decided to take a look. I looked at several watches and noted to Julio that Omega Speedmaster crystal was badly scratched. He asked to look at it, he spent a minute examining the watch, then asked if he could polish the crystal. Of course I agreed. He handed the watch back to me looking like it had a new crystal and would not take any money. I really enjoyed talking watches with him. I promisr my next watch will be purchased from Julio.
