I went in yesterday for assistance with my two batteries from west marine. Jack was super helpful and answered all my questions, found my receipt and called another store to get me all taken care of! love this place!!

I went in looking for some fish hooks a good place to fish and to see how much one of The kayaks out front cost they were very informative very helpful and friendly

A decent shop and well put together. Customer service was rough. I asked if they had bait and hooks. They said “no bait”and refused to tell me where I could find any. Zero help actually. I won’t be going back.

West Marine are thieves!!!! I placed an order and no more than 2 minutes after decided to cancel my order. They would not issue me a refund on my debit card claiming it is already in the computer and nothing they could do. This is BS and absolute theft. They claim I cannot get my refund until the item arrives. In the meantime they have my money. Do not shop at West Marine. Their prices are way high, they argue with customers and steal your money. Big time ripoff!!

Stephanie is great. She was knowledgeable, helpful, and efficient. I would highly recommend going to this West Marine store.

I went to the store on Harrison to order a pair of topsiders. I stood there for 20 minutes waiting as the only employee chatted with someone who did not buy anything. A minute or so before the employee ended his conversation, someone else walked in. The employee helped him and not me. I walked out to the parking lot and placed my order on line with Amazon. It was cheaper and will arrive to two days. Good bye West Marine.

Incredibly overpriced and their price matching is a joke. Also sales person was rude. This is how brick and mortar stores lose out to online vendors. I dont mind paying a little more for the convenience of a brick and mortar, but not 150%. And I was a good customer. NO MORE!

Typical West Marine. Everything you need for boats. Some fishing supplies. Clothes, boat shoes, electronics including radios, batteries, anchors, rope. Oil, gas tanks, nets...they have it all. Kayaks, paddles, gear. Life jackets.

Well stock marine supply outlet. Very helpful counter staff. Lots of cleaning products for anything that is outdoor.

West Marine is generally over priced and under stocked. Dont purchase anything at West Marine that you can get at the hardware store, Lowes or Home Depot. The commercial account at West Marine is the only way to obtain a fairly decent price. Many times they are understocked and wont have the number of items that one needs. Compared to the Covington store, the New Orleans store seems to be understocked.

Staff is very nice. But you pay Mercedes prices for Walmart products for the most part. They have ok prices on gps/fishfinder units but thats it. Would give them 5 stars if prices were reasonable.
