Food, beer selection and service all excellent. A great modern take on classic German cuisine. Everything is made fresh so it leaves a little extra time to enjoy the beer while you wait for your food. Schnitzel sandwich was awesome. Cant wait to go back.

A hidden German gem! This place has amazing quality German food...we went back for a second time before our trip came to an end. This is a must when you visit the French Quarter. Brian the waiter just makes your experience all the best! Enjoy!

This was our second trip to New Orleans and we had discovered The Jagerhaus on our last trip and loved it. We decided on this trip we would try out other places, which we did, but ended up slowly returning more and more to the Jagerhaus, mainly for drinks and deserts. We love this place and dont really know why. Everything they do is quality. Its a great change of pace for New Orleans. Ive never written a review before, but felt strongly about this one.

Bottled beer selection is excellent, but they could have more beers on tap. The mojitos are very fresh and the coffee is superb. They also have a very good food menu which is reasonably priced. I will definitely be returning next time Im on Bourbon Street.

We tried this place for an early dinner while visiting New Orleans and were pleasantly surprised with the great beer and delicious food. $13 bucks for a liter of beer... Cant go wrong. We had the Reuben sandwich and the chicken paprikash--both were great! The restaurant is small, but really relaxed feeling which we loved.

This little hole in the wall is FANTASTIC!! My wife has a soy and dairy allergy - people dont realize soy is in everything, including canola and vegetable oils. These folks not only accommodated us with olive oil (which is safe) but they have a coffee bar and was able to provide coffee with ALMOND milk too! The people are SO nice and accommodating this place is the BEST secret in New Orleans and the food is INCREDIBLE! we ate there for breakfast several times and for dinner once as well!

Even coming from a German family, this is some of the best Ive ever had! It was also, hands down, the best food we ate while in New Orleans.

The food is DELICIOUS. Absolutely fantastic! My only complaint would be the music. Were eating German Food, drinking German wine, and theres Bon Jovi in the background. Nothing worse than a Chinese restaurant with country music on.... unless its a German eatery playing AC/DC.Again, the food and the SERVICE is awesome. VERY friendly waitress today.

Been going to Jager Haus over the last several years on my visits to New Orleans. Luckily our hotel is right across the street.Love it here for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner.Delicious and nice serving sizes.Ask the owner or manager for suggestions. They might have a special for the day - same with dessert. Thanks Yarda (owner). Will see you in just over a month.

Ive traveled and dinned in Germany a dozen times. Jagerhaus is a bit of a disappointment if youre anticipating good German food. However, if you are interested in German cuisine and have never been to Europe, Im sure Jagerhaus would be a nice experience.

Im pretty sure that its illegal to not come here if youre visiting New Orleans. Also, if (when) you come here, try the beer battered pretzel cheese bites. Just trust me.

Thats right, a German restaurant in the FQ. I ate here for breakfast and was very satisfied. The Spätzle omlet with smoked gouda was unusual but delicious. Kind of like baked mac & cheese with ham wrapped in egg.
