I recently went there and I spotted a rat it jumped on the foam cup box in the back and it later ran to the back of the store! It ran to the back and I was ordering food once I got the food the appearance looked very good but my nephew ate and he said his stomach was hurting I took him to the doctor and he had the stomach virus! Definitely don’t recommend this store to any one

LOVE the chicken wings here! I almost never order or eat out chicken - but Manchu definitely gets my vote when wings are in order! (Havent tried anything else yet).Great for large groups, game days, pool parties, and other events - at a reasonable price for huge order! Be sure to call ahead (same-day only, if I remember correctly), and arrive early for pick - up because trust me, there will be a wait!Really 4.5 stars... My only complaint is location and limited indoor waiting area. People are are literally wrapped around the building outside waiting for their orders! But that just lets you know how much we locals love it! #NuttieFoodie

Best fried chicken! Really bad area of town, I traveled here with my 5 yr old daughter. Lots of homeless begging for money, cigarettes and sleeping under the bridge. I felt fairly safe though overall. Food was amazing, cheap and get you get huge portions.

Manchu chicken is very popular for party food. The fried catfish is also pretty good. The only thing I’m not a fan of is the dried shrimp in the fried rice.. It is pretty rare to get a bad batch of food here because it sells so quickly, so quickly that if you go in to order 6 pieces chicken wing with rice and salad it’s already ready. You can Order a 100 pc wings and it will be ready in 10 minutes.

Some of the best and affordable chicken around. But in a small store very very small. Always crowded in there and the traffic on the road its on is always moving. Other than that I love the food and I recommend that you try it out.

Say I’m from H-Town but let me tell you when I say this Chinese food from the heart of that NO is 🔥I had never been to to New Orleans until I came through because a job assignment and I have to say I loved the environment.

I will admit Manchus makes great chicken. Granted it is in one of the very worst parts of New Orleans. Also it has bulletproof glass. But in the end it was worth it, because they have the best chicken in the city! Also the prices were incredibly reasonable as well.

Recommended to my friends and I by some locals, I can see why! Some of the best fried chicken Ive ever had, and so cheap. Be sure to get the shrimp fried rice on the side!

Workers are very rude. Called to make a phone order and was hung up on without even finished ordering called back and was told i have your order. Ma’am i wasn’t even finished yet. Treat you like they doing you a favor by servicing you. Don’t think I’ll ever eat from here again

Manchu is highly overrated. I could fry better chicken than that, one of the pieces of chicken even had a sour taste to it and the fried rice is simply plain rice with tiny pieces of dried up shrimp in it. Most people that love their food have never been out of the city limits. Sorry just keeping it real.

This place is terrible. So unorganized and out of order. The chicken is ok (not even close to best in nola) but the shame on them for the shrimp po boys. They use salad shrimp and chop it. Its basically a breading sandwich. Just look at the pictures. Disgusting!!!

The fried chicken is very good, the poboys are almost as good, the fried rice is tasty, the prices and complete service time is excellent. This food store is very centrally located in the city, but the area looks & feels unsafe and parking can be troublesome at times; I recommend this takeout only joint, just know you will probably see characters sitting, hanging around and talking loud, not far from the front door.

Hot, fresh, and delicious. Remember, its hard to get a parking spot.

This place is located in the inner city. Very busy place, only few cars can park in front of the store, but they have fast service. Wings were a little bland. I would probably rather go to Popeyes rather here. Kinda disappointed.

Hands down the best fried chicken!!! I visited this spot based off the locals and I was glad I did. The chicken was amazing!! OMG!! I really cant stop thinking about it. The fried rice however was ok( Im from St. Louis and in my opinion no one can make fried rice like we can). If you are in New Orleans please visit this place. The location is not the best but they get you out fast and you cant beat the price.

Some of the best fried wings on the planet...tied w/ Brother’s (they #1 for breasts). Yes to the shrimp fried rice. I got a 10pc plate and a shrimp po’boy that had shrimp falling off it was so stuffed...and so was I 😂😂 for the rest of the day.

The way people were talking I expected to find armed guards with attack dogs by the front door with a line to go through a metal detector and waiting to get frisked. People wanted to get their order not drama. I must say the service was quick person who took my order was nice the chicken was damn good. Like the location or not I plan on going back over there when Im on that side.

Cheap and fast food! This is like a fast food Chinese place plus convenient store in one. They are known for their chicken wings, which I thought were ok. You can get 8 chicken wings for $6.19 and gets a little cheaper the more wings you buy. It also comes with fried rice! Other items on the menu includes poboys, buns, shrimp, fish, fried rice, pork chops, meat pie, fries, and yaka mein. The yaka mein is noodle soup with ham, dried shrimp and green onion. It was ok.
