This was nothing I needed it to be for making regular groceries but in a pinch its very convenient and they have a little of everything. Clean, bright, nice employees.. the produce was looking a little sad but I find thats very common of the local grocery stores round chere

Dont sell small single beers. Had 2 buy 24oz. a waste .but lots of fresh produce. Clean, friendly staff .restroom Tidy, fresh was no wait time. very helpful employees

Glad this store was reopened. Ive been told how it used to be pre-Katrina (prior to us relocating here), but aside from those stories I dont have a full comparison to go on. That said, the staff is always friendly when I go in, and the store is always organized and clean. The highlight though is the hot food area. Froot Orleans is in there, so if youre looking for an all fruit or a fruit and veggie smoothie, make this your stop.

You need to try the Jamaican food is great, an the supermarket is also cool

Nice grocery store, with a good selection of fresh produce, wines, beer (hiccup!), and fresh meat and seafood. The big name stores carry more, but the folks are nice and normal, and at least you don’t have to worry too much about the owners being big Trump supporters! 😲

A great place to go shopping and they have great cooks

The employees were super friendly and helpful, I had a great experience with them. Although I was wishing they were all better about keeping their masks on properly. The selection is a little weird, as is the organization/setup. A lot of things were really low on stock, and some stuff seemed way overstocked (fruits and veggies rotting, etc). Prices were reasonable, on par with other grocery stores. I liked the local farm stand in the produce section even though it was a little odd. All in all an okay experience but I definitely wouldn’t make this my go-to grocery.

I am not one to complain about local businesses very often and the last time I did complain it was on this very subject. I have been a customer since they reopened and then reopened again. I have no issues with their prices or how they ring things but today is not the 1st time I have walked in there and I encounter maskless people. The last time I was in there not only was there an employee with his mask down, a customer with no mask but the worst was a manager with no mask wandering around. My boyfriend has also been in there and seen the same. Today I was only picking up a few things, I had my second shot last Thursday and it has been at least a month or so since either of us have been there so I decided to give em another try. I WANT to support them but first thing I see walking in is a man putting away veggies with his mask totally down. Hmm..ok. I think I will just avoid him. But just then I see the SAME manager guy as the last time with no mask on walking around like no biggie. I am sorry but if you do not care enough about your employees or your customers I will not spend my money there. Period. Done. Not going back. I walk back out and drive over to another store.

Circle food store is a wonderful little mom and pop grocery with affordable prices a decent selection and a very welcoming staff its easy to get to plenty of parking on I cant say enough good things about it but youre going to work with you it just feels like an old tiny grocery store but without like jacked up prices or you know old timey technology so really great place everybody should check it out

Great store for just about anything didnt get 5 stars because meat selection is a little small and the security guard makes you real uncomfortable staring at you the whole time youre trying to remember what youre forgetting. But I expect that will not last long in Nola

Ive been going here since I was a kid in the early 90s. Went for the 1st time in 15 years since Katrina. Its turned in a nice neighborhood grocery with quality produce and seafood, nicer than the rouses I live next to now. So glad this store is still available to the community. Bring Bachemans back next door!

Great location! Theres a large beer and meat selections. Unfortunately the veggies section isnt as large.

I went there just to see what its like now. Its much larger than I expected, and very clean.

It was our first time in there since the renovations& everyone was friendly and the seafood was fresh... No complaints here. Well be back!

I really enjoy shopping here. They always have decent prices especially on meat. They are also very friendly and helpful. The store however is in a rough area, therefore you must always be aware of your surroundings and never go there after dark. FYI, just recently all of the stores copper refrigertion tubing was stolen from the roof and they have had a very hard time getting all of the parts to repair the system. There is a very limited amount of refrigerated/frozen food available. Still all in all its a very nice store.

Shopping at circle foods is a true pleasure. Staff are extremely friendly and personable, theres always great music playing which keeps you dancing through the isles of great produce and affordable goods. Very fortunate to live around the corner from this gem!

Awesome place to shop! They seem to always have everything I need with competitive prices. They have a nice deli and a large selection of fresh meats and vegetables, and they also have a great in-store pharmacy (Claiborne Discount Pharmacy) for even more convenience.

Historic, locally owned, community based grocery store and more. Great meats, really good prepared meals. Pay your bills here, play the lotto, buy a phone or a ring... Not sure if they still sell school uniforms.Yes, they are periodically out of certain things. With floods and vandalism they have had a rough time of it these past few years. But they keep coming back, stronger. If that aint New Orleans I dont know what is.

No impressed with store policy in regards to patrons with back pack. On a major bus line. Unreasonably, restriction to have patrons to check backpack to access store for one or to items.

Front end managers need further training in signage and especially customer relations.The snap program and circle foods matchbprogram is either a scam or the manager has no clue what the heck she is talking about. You buy $10 in produce and you are suppose to receive two $5 match coupons for future use. I’ve done it many times. Today I was informed it was a lottery style if the receipt printer spits it out you get it. If not you are “”it out of luck!

Circle food store has been the store to go to since I was a child.After the storm, its took a while but is now reopened.I no longer live in the area but I will gladly travel to see the new circle food store and to see how fresh and clean it is now, and how updated it has become.I cant wait to get my fresh produce from a place I know that always have good deals.

Circle Food Store supplies the people in that community. I grew up right across the street and before Hurricane Katrina circle food store was where we made groceries, got medicine from the pharmacy, paid bills, got hair products even our school clothes. They always had the specials on the bell peppers during holidays. Easter baskets lined up outside the store. Even live chicks. My aunt sold suppers all my life. My cousin and I would walk and deliver plates to employees there. My grandmother still shops here. People without transportation are given access to necessary foods, products and services as well as jobs. Circle Food Store is more than an ordinary grocery store for the many. It is historical to this community and gives many memories.

Worst customer service rang up item wrong price and didnt know how to fix it 5 workers and finally owner came out and snatched item said he wouldnt sell it instead of fixing problem Avoid shopping here quality is terrible on top of that

Okay. So, what I like about Circle Food Store is that its the only Black owned market in a predominately black city. They have all the necessary foods you need to make an amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have a great selection of baked goods as well.

Im thoroughly disappointed with the freshness of the food that is offered. Several times I visited the store to buy items that are expired. This neighborhood store can be so much better but it seems as though its plagued with poor management.

Family owned community based little grocery. Selection varies and is sometimes sparse. Produce is expensive except green peppers. They are always on sale. Great for gumbo!

Great neighborhood store. Circle foods been in the 7th ward since the beginning. Every time I walk in it brings back child hood memories of family shopping experiences. Circle has been through several disasters and has rebuilt each time. Perseverance is key. The shelves are stock with local items and employed with workers from the 7th ward area. Its not only wanted but needed in the success of rebuilding.

I cant say too much about Circle food store I do not shop there on a regular basis usually I go there around the holidays because they have good prices on their bell peppers and doing the winter time they have good prices on their greens

Employees are friendly. Great to have a supermarket in the area. Somehat pricey. Stock fresh meat early in the morning. Offer hot plates as well as poboy sandwich. After so many reward points, you can receive a discount on your purchase.

Its a classic beauty, it has good food and its a circle! I love the Circle Food Store for its old world exterior market architecture to its new, yet throwback interior. From highlighting the antique handpainted signage from the early 20th century, to exposing the gorgeous exposed wood beams, this place is a real beauty. They carry many items you cant get elsewhere as well as cater to a local diverse customer base. The lines are generally short and their customer service is people pleasing. Where else can you find cleaned rabbit or gumbo crabs for dinner AND get your taxes done? I love that!
