The only reason I’m giving this place more than one star is bc of the customer service. On more than one occasion I was treated kindly by the employees there. The reason for only two stars is the pricing. I was charged $10.50 for a gallon of milk. Didn’t realize it till I got home. After looking at my receipt I realized that most of the items purchased were abnormally high, but this was just too much. And after a major hurricane hit our area. They should be ashamed of themselves for doing that to their community, especially to people in need. Hopefully, I never have to shop there again.

We shop here frequently and we love it, but this review is because of one employee who really is out of line. He is a checkout clerk with a grey pony tail. I watched him literally chase down two customers and rudely confront them about not having mask. Not sure what he said but he left his register and chases them with a box. When he returned he spoke so horribly of the individuals my wife and I were shocked. He went on and on, we were waiting to checkout and took our items off the belt and went to another lane. His hostility and unprofessional attitude along with the relentless gossip was very disappointing. I hope he is disciplined. If one of my employees acted the way he did I would terminate them.

Were it not for the proximity of this grocery store to my house, I wouldnt shop here at all. I was waiting tonight for deli meat and told that the only person there who could help me was on break. I frequently have trouble getting freshly cut deli meat here, but this was the first time I was informed there was only one person in the entire staff capable of doing so, and she was not available. The customer service in this store is shameful, and Ill be grocery shopping elsewhere from now on.

Well stocked and clean and had exactly everything I needed. I had never been there before and it was very easy to navigate and the cashier was very friendly.

I dont normally leave reviews for anything online, but I just had the worst sandwich I have ever eaten in my entire life at their little bistro area. Literally a sandwich so bad that I dont think I will ever go back, even if it is just to shop for groceries.

Truly enjoy the home feel of Lakeview Grocery. They make great fresh breads and pastries! Their Brownies are the best! If you need a dessert for a Party, their Brownies are great! Also the best Fried Chicken! Its always hot and you can order for a pick up at your convenience. Must try.

Most things about this store are fine and it’s usually a pleasant experience. But the produce section is absolutely atrocious... Do NOT buy fruit or vegetables here. Three separate occasions I have bought fruit from there (Lakeview Grocery branded) only to get home and discover that it is absolutely rotten. Not only that but every time I buy produce from there it only about a day before growing mold or rotting. Skip Lakeview Grocery. Go to Big Easy Fresh Market instead.

Since Katrina, I have probably shopped here at least a couple of dozen times. Neighborhood store with plenty to offer. Not a local or regional chain grocer, but somewhat competitive on pricing and selection. I cannot remember a time when I went in, and did not come out with what I was looking for. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Plenty of highschool aged or older teens working there, which I believe is good. I have never been disappointed with their deli, or salad and hot food bar. Good produce, too.The location is convenient, too. It seems that every time I shop there, I was able to take care of some other shopping needs close by.

Conveniently located grocery store with friendly staff, fast service, and a great selection of prepared meals! We come here at least once a week to supplement our usual grocery runs, for special ingredients, or for a beer run. The staff is very kind and I have never had to wait more than a few minutes at the register. The produce selection is limited and there are no bulk items. This grocery store is small so they have all of the items you may need but only one or two brands in one size. Ive never done a comparison on prices either. The parking lot is also extremely treacherous for both cars and pedestrians so be safe when youre walking in! Great for a quick grocery run but would suggest other stores for your weekly haul.

I think this is the perfect smaller, neighborhood, grocery.! Laveview Grocery has used the amount of space they have to neatly offer everything a large grocery would, plus unique, and local items you cant find in other stores. The customer service is excellent, (especially the gentlemen in the meat department). Prices are average, but they have big savings on deals. Lots of prepared foods for any meal, 2 deli, and a sitting area for eating! Good music was playing too, which made it more fun! Well done Lakeview Grocery!

I love this neighborhood grocery! They have great bakery items, too. But, it’s also a favorite for my little guys who love the mini shopping carts and the (cheap) hot breakfast bar.

Great family owned grocery store in Lakeview. They have a nice selection for being such a small store. Its a great place to stop for lunch on the go as they have a big deli with great food.

I have always shopped here and have been pleased. In the present virus situation we all have to make sacrifices. While shopping here early this morning, I noticed that 3/4 of the stockers had masks, but they were pulled below their noses. Even the gentleman stocking the produce! Masks don’t work if not worn properly. One young man had his hanging from one ear! This totally defeats the purpose, his workmate mentioned something to him (although his mask usage was improper also) the kid answered, “nobody said nothing to me so I ain’t gonna wear it” . I am going somewhere else, at least until management does something to correct this!

This is my favorite grocery in New Orleans.

Some of the prices are a little high but having a larger fresh foods selection makes up for it. Was getting my food there while starting in Madison for cancer treatments. I could only handle fresh fruits and veggies, and it was nice that they were organic. Actually helped me feel a lot better with all the time I spend up there. The people who work there are very helpful, theyve even helped me by grabbing items I need but am to tired to get. Only place thats happened to me and it makes a huge difference! Thanks for everything!

This is a store who does not care about customer service. My husband was verbally threatened and bullied by an employee. We reported the incident to the operations manager at Roberts. Crickets. Its a shame that a business of this caliber would let customer service become a thing of the past.

Good po boy. I had to wander around a little bit to find where to order because they serve so much hot food/sushi and all sorts. I wandered around the rest of the store looking. And they have some nice stuff, its a high end grocery store from the looks of it. Their beer selection is good! Glad I stopped

Another of the citys non mainline groceries with more of a boutique feel. Nice variety of choices I dont see at the larger stores. I usually find several flavors of items I havent see and didnt know were available!

When Im too lazy to go to Rouses, this place is the next best thing. And who doesnt love a neighborhood grocer still in business in the era of chain stores.Their hot bar food is severely underrated (fried catfish that ISNT mealy and overcooked?! EVERY TIME? Sign me up) considering New Orleans is home of the hot plate.

It is a small grocery store but has a lot of nice choices. They have a hotline that is very good, I also like their meat department. The staff is friendly, and you get in and out with no trouble.

Makes food shopping a pleasure. Hardly a place to save money, first rate service is not cheap.

The food and selection was very nice. The service at the bakery was atrocious. I stood there trying to flag down an employee for several minutes to no avail. The employees would come out of the bakery loudly talking about personal issues before going back into the kitchen area. The summary is the value is in the location and products. They dont seem to have customer in their value chart!

Deli is great with poboys, lunch/dinner plates, fresh sushi, ice cream machine for the kids, great wine, beer, and liquor selection for the adults, and more! Lack of space means there wont be as much of a grocery selection as your major grocer such as Winn-dixie, etc, but Im happy with them none the less.

Very unfriendly staff that I encountered. Gentleman working the meat counter did not really want to help me. Cashier said nothing to me the whole transaction. I said thanks to her bit she just extended the receipt and turned away. I guess I will shop elsewhere.

They have a decent fresh vegetable selection for a neighborhood market. They are also affiliated with PJS Coffee, so their coffee is the best!
