Horrible even by Florida standards. Ive had better bagels from a supermarket. Dry, rubbery, tasteless. Little to no cream cheese. Elderly (Boomer) workers with an attitude could be bothered to work. Tossed my bagel as it was depressing to eat. If this was the only place to eat on NSB, Id choose not to eat. Yes, its that bad.

We were just at Bagel World and enjoyed some good food for breakfast. There is place to sit inside and outside, we liked the atmosphere. The crossaints were delicious.

Best bacon egg and cheese since NY! Living in NY i was very spoiled with the breakfast sandwiches and now i have finally found a new breakfast sandwich i can enjoy just as much! The asiago everything bagel was a perfect match for this.

Not sure what happened to this place. Stopped in for a breakfast sandwich and I might as well just got a bagel from the store and covered it with sand. The sandwich was so dry and hardly any ham, egg, or cheese in it. I remember when this place actually packed their bagels with ingredients. I try to support our local businesses, unfortunately I won’t at this one anymore

The ladies here are wonderful! They were having a rough morning after their chef walked out but handled it like champs! Service was great and bagels were even better!

The food is consistently good, hard to mess up a bagel egg and cheese sandwhich, and judging by the very long line, this is a popular spot. The line moved pretty quickly. The lady at the counter was a little grouchy, but Im sure she was exhausted, the line was non-stop, and they are looking for help, as are a lot of places. There is a nice outdoor covered area where you can wait for your food.

Cute place, yummy bagels. Enjoyed the woman working the counter... Super friendly! The sandwiches looked good, but we just had take out bagels and cream cheese.

Called ahead to see if they had smoked salmon and the lady said we have one. Arrived to place our order and the lady informed us we do not have that right now. We just called and live 2 minutes away! Then we settle for something else and watch as they mix up an order between the only two other people in there. We ask for a bagel each toasted with cream cheese. My wife gets a plain bagel and it doesn’t taste good. Mine comes out not toasted. Not going back and do not recommend. Also people that work there act like they are being inconvenienced.. shouldn’t you be glad that you have a job?

It would be nice if a customer is trying to get into your bagel shop and your door is locked, that you would open your door and take the order. I saw employees when I was approaching the door, but it was locked. They clearly saw me but wouldnt open the door to explain why they were closed, or wouldnt let me in. Ridiculous! 🙄

Been wanting to have a Lox everything bagel and coffee for a while, today was the quiet morning it happened I was there before 8 just after seemed like everyone decided Bagel World was the place to start their day also. Can sit inside and out, handicap parking, bike rack.

Good bagels, $6 for a bacon egg and cheese bagel. No coffee available which is not good, for a breakfast place coffee is a must have. Bagel was good and a good value. Service is a little slow.

Wow!! These are some of the best bagels that you will be able to get a hold of. Dont even get me started on the sandwiches that are made here as well. All around a great place to grab a bite to eat and then head to the beach.

We just left here and the bagel was so bad I had to leave a review immediately. The staff were very nice people, super friendly. I feel bad leaving this review but it needs to be said that the bagels here are really, really bad. At first I compared it to a Thomas bagel from the grocery store, but honestly, that would have been better. If this is the one thing you’re gonna sell... it should be better than something I can buy at Publix.

We dropped by for a bagel and while the staff was all very friendly, the bagel was probably the worst bagel weve ever had from a Bagel Shop. It was more in line with what youd expect at a grocery store, though it was not even that fresh. It tasted like it was a day old. I took 2 bites and decided it was better in the trash -- my wife did the same. Now, a few doors down is a French bakery and I was hungry, so we tried that. Awesome. Would recommend you try it instead.

Its been a while so decided to order a dozen bagels from our favorite little shop on beachside. I guess I should of checked the recent reviews before placing that pickup order... Whoever took over this operation I would like you to sit down and try your own bagel and maybe you will understand where the negative reviews are coming from. Once was the best bagel in Volusia County has turned into a processed piece of garbage. (That is where your 11 3/4 bag of bagels are now)I would love to support a local business but product quality matters. I assure any line you have currently is due to your name and previous reputation in the community. Hopefully instead of just a defensive or dismissive responce you take that time to save your business...

They were out of most things by 11am. Staff didnt really seem like they wanted to be there but the bagels are so good!!!!

Wonderful staff and good food.

As always the salmon bagel is the best. However if they are gonna wear gloves and mask, please learn the proper way. You can not touch the out of your mask to pull down with gloves that you are handling peoples food with. You have to change gloves and wash hands. I saw this happen over and over. The lady kept the same gloves on time after time of touching the outside of her mask. Then would not let anyone use rest room. Shame.

The staff is great, they get 5 stars. Thats what makes writing this review so difficult. The bagels are honestly not the quality you can get at a grocery store. Not sure a bagel place that doesnt make its own bagels is a great idea. I still encourage supporting the business, just know what youre getting.

My friend and I were very disappointed with our food. The bagels are not made on site, therefore not as fresh or tasty. Too bad.

Staff was very friendly, nice family vibe. I was expecting hot fresh bagels typical of a bagel shop, even if they dont make them on premise. Bagels were good, but they were cold like they had been in a refrigerator and baked the previous day and stored overnight in preparation for the next morning. Sadly, next time we get bagels, will have to visit the Dunkin Donuts a couple minutes down the street.

Best bagels in town

We always go here for breakfast, since we stay in a resort nearby. The selection seemed a little smaller than years past, but they are still delicious. Recommend ordering ahead online, the line gets pretty long! Also recommend the French toast bagel, and the everything asiago, so yummy!

Been several years since visiting NSB. We loved getting a fresh bagel from the Bagel Shop. This time however, we discovered they no longer make them in house. HUGE difference! They were dense and dry! Could get a better bagel from the grocery store! Will visit no more 👎🏻

This place is amazingly good. Ive had bagels and breakfast sandwiches there before and they are fantastic. Their bagels are the best you will find in Florida. Today I had a Philly cheese steak sandwich and they told me it was going to be the best Ive ever had. They were right. It was delicious. Good food. Good service. And priced right. You cant go wrong here.

Back beachside for a few weeks and the place seem to have changed since my last trip down here, maybe 6 or 7 months ago. Dont write reviews but wanted people to know the bagels we used to get every trip are different now. Wife and I went in and not sure how to describe the new ones but they arent the new York style bagel I remember. Would mix and match a dozen and grab some cream cheese for the house but wont anymore. Not sure what other options are nearby though

Bagels are soft and chewy like a great bagel should be. Staff could be a little more friendly and explain things if you arent a regular. They didnt seem like they wanted you to buy anything and please dont make any mistakes when ordering, theyll make you feel that they are super inconvenienced. All this under consideration, I would go back, the bagels are very good.

Visiting family over the holiday and trying to go to all my old haunts—bagel world, Manzano’s, the garlic, etc. saw today the bagels at bagel world had changed from what I remember. Not sure how to describe the bagel I got but it’s definitely not the New York style I grew up with on the beach. The employee who helped me was friendly and helpful though.

I stood in line for 20 minutes to order and then waited 20 minutes to receive an incorrect order. The bagels do not taste fresh and appear to be store bought. Your COVID operating procedure is confusing, it’s hard to tell where to stand before entering the building. There needs to be a separate line for online pick up.You need to greatly improve your entire process and / or your food. The bottom line is quality of food here is certainly not worth the wait.

This Bakery has wonderful Bagels and has been around for quite some time under different owners over the years but fortunately the quality of the food has maintained its excellence. My favorite is the everything bagel. They also have different Bagel sandwiches that are really good. Their coffee is relatively simple and generic so dont expect to get anything fancy in the coffee Department.

Great bagel sandwich and coffee also love what they are doing to keep everyone safe by having just a couple people in at a time.

Coming home to eat at Bagel World was one of the things I always looked forward to. After being away for several years, I was excited to eat here and let my new wife experience one of my favorite places. Usually full, I was surprised to pull into an empty parking lot. I walked in and saw the bagels were not the same bagels I had learned to love. I still purchased one for myself and my wife, hoping they were just as good. After taking a bite of my everything bagel, I realized that my amazing bagel store was now gone and in its place was a completely crappier version of what it once was. I would compare the bagel to a store bought bagel with added toppings. Not the fluffy crisp and chewy when toasted bagel that I was expecting. Im so disappointed. I have learned that this business has changed hands for the 3rd time. I have never understood why someone would buy an existing successful business and change the product. I assume it was due to cost savings. The new owners have ruined the allure of this business and I will never return.

Our usual spot seems to have changed their bagels or something, bagels seem different. Don’t see the same types and the bagels seem like store bought, similar to Publix.Heard they started keeping their bagels to sell the next day, not fresh. Bagels kept in bags overnight. Not sure how I feel about the changes to what was my vacation breakfast spot.

Fresh bagels. Made to order breakfast sandwiches. Hashbrowns that are actually brown and crispy. Staff that is cheerful, yet busting there butts to get food out fast. Whats not to love. My only complaint is that the cinnamon sugar bagels need a lot more of both.

Crowded, but worth the wait.

My bagel was disgusting. There was only one piece of bacon on it, the top bun was 3 inches thick and the bottom was barely one centimeter thick, I got a plain bagel and for some reason it was brown... I’m not sure if it was four weeks old or if they gave me a pumpernickel bagel. Past experiences were good, maybe it was just the worker who did a bad job.

I am EXTREMELY disappointed. My family has been coming here for over 20 years, and the new management has taken the original Bagel World downhill. I have refrained from writing this review from my past visit because I thought it was a random mishap that our food was messed up, but this time was it for us. We ordered 7 bagels, all toasted, and each was a variation of having egg/cheese/bacon on them. When we checked everything, nothing was toasted, it was about 4in thick of only bread and 1 Piece of a slice (not even a whole slice) of MICROWAVABLE bacon in each bagel. So basically no bacon. We also ordered early and they didn’t have hardly any bagel selection because they forgot to get them shipped in. They’re just going the cheap route and putting as little as possible on the bagels. The staff is not as friendly as they used to be either. Please please bring back the old, cash only, LOCAL bagel world 😭❤️

Love it! The workers are super friendly. To the review complaining that they dont take credit cards, they have signs posted from the front door all the way to the register that it is cash only so I dont see what the big shocker was.. love their selection of bagels, sandwiches, burritos and beer! How much better can it get?

The girl behind the counter was by herself( besides the cook)and it was really busy! She was so efficient and kept a calm and positive attitude. 😊

We have been coming to Bagel World for quite some time as it used to be our go to breakfast location. The past several times we have gone we have been extremely disappointed with what it has turned into. They recently and continuously put near to no bacon or meat on the bagels and they consist of all bread. They also fail to toast the bagels every time after we persistently ask them to toast them. The coffee is watered down and weak. We understand it gets busy and can be rushed when preparing food but the lack of effort and quality has made us decide to not go there any longer. Such little changes could make a huge difference, hopefully they can be great again one day!

Came in for breakfast for the first time after hearing from friends about how good it was. They were right! I got myself a bacon, egg, and cheese on a jalapenos bagel and it was delicious. The staff were all very friendly and the resteraunt was well kept. They also have a gorgeous redhead working there too! I will definitely be returning!

We stay at a nearby resort every Spring Break and all year long we look forward to getting our breakfast at Bagel World. The bagels are fresh in the morning and when theyre gone, theyre gone. The service is good and fast. We normally take our food to go but there is seating available inside as well. It is a small building so it can get a little crowded but the bagels are worth it. We enjoy both plain bagels with their various cream cheeses, and also their egg, cheese, and meat combinations available.

The team was awesome and i had a great experience. Angel was very polite and welcoming! Bagels were very great!

Very impressed with the changes theyve made!! It has been a while since we were there because we never have cash but they finally got a card reader, woohoo!! Also, our coffee came in a paper cup with a recycled paper holder. How refreshing!! (And of course the bagels are delicious) So happy to see another NSB making changes to protect what we love!

Was great with the old owners, now food quality is horrible. What a disappointment. We will give it another try and hope the bagles are fresh and the and the egg sandwiches like they used to be.

I would drive 40 minutes weekly from DeLand just to get their bagels and then put them in my freezer. Even reheated, they are the best bagels and the only reason I’m sharing this review is because I no longer live within driving distance so I’m willing to give up my secret bagel haven.

This was the worst eating experience Ive ever had. The food was decent, but the two women behind the counter were nightmares. I got there at 10, and there were no bagels. I, along with a few friends, decided to eat there anyway. They didnt take credit cards (which wasnt a big deal), they didnt let us take our tea in (we had to go get it from somewhere else since we didnt have enough cash, but still, not a big deal), and they were rude the whole time. They asked us to leave our drinks outside and so we did, and while we werent looking they went outside and threw them away. The service was abysmal. Absolutely horrid. Three hours later and it still upsets me greatly just thinking about it. If the ladies werent so appalling, it wouldnt have been so bad.

Bagels are not like the bagels I grew up with...but acceptable. Be prepared to wait in line even if you just got a bag of bagels...workers process orders in order, even if they are making breakfast for 6.... I wont go back.

Seemed like a really popular bagel spot so we stopped in on the way out of town. The line was long so we patiently waites. When our food was ready it was delivered to our table which was nice. Unfortunately...it was Worst bagel I ever had. I asked for an everything bagel...toasted with cream cheese. Bagel came untoasted, or barely toasted...it wasnt even warm. It barely had any cream cheese on the bagel... and the bagel itself was very dry. the line was too long for me to wait. And complain. I Went in hungry and left hungry.

This establishment is now called Bagels & Burrito Bar. The bagels are yummy. Get it toasted! We had the smoked salmon with a sesame bagel and it was delicious!

Ignore the negative reviews, they must be uppity people who dont understand and appreciate a small business. We travel to New Smyrna multiple times each year and always stop for breakfast repeatedly at Bagel World for their awesome bagels. Read the signs, website, info posted all around that they are Cash only. No big deal, and as a small business owner I understand since CC processing is outrageous nowadays and would impact prices. Oh, and outside drinks, would you go into a restaurant carrying drinks, no, so why do you think they have to let you? Back to the real review, awesome food. Always get either an everything bagel or cheddar with bacon and egg. The ladies are great if you actually treat them nice. And show up early, they sell quickly.

Hi I moved out here from Georgia..and have been looking for a great bagel spot..i was told about your location from my new neighbors. Upon entry I was a little disheartened bye how many people were working there at the time jus because there were only 2 employees but once I was ready to order ..the service and bagels were amazing..the servers went over and beyond to make my experience the best ever..I believe the employee name was Angel..He defiently made my expierence there feel like I was back in Georgia..you guys will have a new regular customer..Thank you Bagel World for the good food and great service!!!!!
