The owner was wonderful. My daughter just had to tell him what she wanted in her prom dress and he knew her size and picked several dresses that fit her criteria. Excellent customer service. We planned to get our daughters prom dress whilst on holiday on NYC last week. We are from the UK. We were over the moon we found the perfect dress with the help of the lovely guy who works there. Unfortunately i didn’t get him name. He was fun & very helpful.

Did not have any of the dresses shown on the website and said all the dresses i was interested in were from their website were from prom collection 2 years ago. Small place with 2 sizes tops of each dress makes it difficult to get the dress you want on the size you need. Offered to order my dress in my size by paying it full price, not refundable, but whats the point if i couldnt try or see it before hand? Its like going to the store to have someone order it online, I can do that myself... I was not impressed. Dresses do not have prices on them, so i guess it depends on the customer and what you hint off that you are willing to pay?! I left very disappointed, went across the street and found the perfect dress in my size in less than 5 minutes and for 45 dollares.. I was willing to pay $200 at dress me up if they actually carried what they advertised. “A smart person” would not advertise dresses from 2 years ago that you can no longer even order. “Smart person” way to go on your customer service.

I am an international actress and model, I was EXTREMELY impressed with the professionalism and kindness Dress Me Up NY had to offer, BESIDES THE BEAUTIFUL COLLECTIONS they have all under one roof. Its very rare to find store that carries ALL of the BEST Brands! I went in at 10 am tried on 4 dresses. Bought 1, then came back two hours later and bought a second 1! I was desperate to find a dress, as prom is two weeks from now; walked in and found the perfect dress right on display for a low price! Danny was an excellent help. I discovered this place through Google & I definitely do not regret the travel to get there! My mom literally had 4 days to find an evening gown after being let down from another store. We went to literally almost every store you could think of - Nordstrom, Macy’s, Bloomingdales, etc & couldn’t find anything that was really worth the money. Once we got to Dress Me Up, we were immediately welcomed & assisted. The first dress that caught my mom’s eye was not in her size but low and behold it was available in the perfect purple and in her size! It was almost as if the dress was waiting for her! Next time I have an event to attend I know where I will be getting my dress from!

Danny was so incredibly helpful, I am so happy I stumbled into this store! I was looking for a last minute dress Monday for an event on Friday and they not only had a great selection of items, Danny sized me up by eye and picked out three great dresses for me to try after my explaining my style a bit. They all fit well, but the third dress was FABULOUS! He offered it to me at a great price with tailoring included and everything would be ready to go before my big night out! Unfortunately there was a mishap with the tailor but Danny went above and beyond to correct this and got everything fixed just in the nick of time! I absolutely recommend you check them out for a dress and their website has a huge selection! However, just avoid the referred tailor and use your own to save yourself some headache! Also, I recommend stopping by in person, my dress looked awful on the model online and I would have never picked it or thought it would be perfect for me!!!! Thank you Danny and DressMeUpNY!

If I could give a minus score J would .. This company sent me the wrong size dress a size 2 instead of a size 6 . I sent them an email the day I receive the dress, along with the picture showing that it was the wrong size.. I asked them how I could return the dress I never got any response they never sent me any response to any emails I sent them trying to send the dress back. I finally contacted my credit card company who contacted them but they still never sent me any information on how to send the dress back, since the address had to come from the designer which was in Turkey and not New York .I didn’t know where to send it, and they were unwilling to respond to tell me.They were angry I believe because I contact my credit card company to get them involved. I sent the dress back and now this company has my dress and refused to refund any of my money, they’ve kept my money regardless of having that dress back and have not responded to any of my emails. This is totally dishonest.

This is the worst shopping experience! The quality if the dress was not as shown on the website. Called customer service to see if can do an exchange and the guy was doing me a “favor” by lowering the restocking fee to $75. Are you kidding me? Item description says it is a”returnable dress”, yet is not. Customer Service rep was very rude and, obviously he didn’t care about their customers. Very very dissapointed. As soon as I received the dress and saw the quality, I emailed them to do an exchange. 3 days later no response until I called and “oh I saw your email”, well didn’t you respond? You guys obviously know what you’re selling that’s why you don’t have a more reasonable return/exhange policy and restocking fee. Will never ever buy from you again!

Great place - I spent 4 months looking for a dress for my mother for my wedding and we finally found it here and at a great price!

I ordered a dress from there and paid $35 dollars to ensure it was received in 6 weeks. Needless to say, I did not receive it in the time promised. The dress needed altered, however after visiting several alteration businesses, I was informed they are unable to do it in time.I called the company asking for a refund and I would return the dress as I now have to buy another dress because I am unable to have this one altered on time. They refused, stating that it was not the companies fault that I did not receive the dress in the six week timeline promised and that I paid extra for. This is horrible customer service- pushing the blame onto the warehouse in China so that they do not have to take responsibility. Well then, you should not offer the 6-week option on your website.

Will never order again. Placed order on evening of 5/11 and paid $107.43 to have dress shipped overnight. They email me on 5/12 and say its been shipped Fed X. Tracking number supplied is for United States Postal Service and it does not say it was picked up on 5/12. After several aggravating phone calls to a gentleman who kept guaranteeing that it would be delivered 5/13, it turns out they did not ship as promised or as I paid extra for. Looks like it will be delivered 5/14. NOT what I paid for. I would not even give them 1 star, but have to for a post.
