The store is just another typical 99 Ranch Market store. In fact, the store size is slightly smaller comparing with the newer stores. But the staff are friendly. Being an Asian grocery store, it carries most of the Asian food that you need cooking Asian dishes. At this everything Amazon age, I cherish its existence. It is not fancy but good enough for me. In addition, I like it because it is close to my house and it gives me a chance to drive along the familiar local streets with a sense of being local.By the way, for every $20 you spend on grocery, you get $1 coupon for the store bakery. This is a perk that no other Bay Area 99 Ranch Market stores offer anymore. You can treat yourself with a bakery item for your sweet tooth, yah!

A no-frills Asian grocery market that has everything you need. Reminds me a bit of the 7-11/convenience stores of Asia or Asian version of NYC bodegas. You come to know the staff as you slowly become a regular. I love the community! The store isnt fancy, but I wouldnt want it to be! As long as I can get what I need: fresh and high quality at affordable prices thats all I want.

Has all the basics you would expect from 99, though a smaller, older location.

Love the fresh produce and fish and meat selection. Also there is a good selection of dry goods for the pantry and lots of frozen dumplings and such. Good value for the money. Hot food is hit or miss though.

This is a supermarket with Taiwan standard. Very clean, roomy, fresh produce and meat and seafood. The owner has a high standard for the food the supermarket offer. You wont go wrong in this supermarket . I shop the one in Bay Area Calif, I also visit the one in Houston . The market never disappointed me. They all have a very high standard for food and produce. You never go wrong in this place.

I usually never leave reviews but this experience was so bad I needed to share. The market was fine but the bakery on the left when you enter was a whole mess. I came to get some bakery and when I went to checkout the cashier lady was so rude to us. She grabbed the bread scanned it and threw it back to us and when we had to find an extra 70 cents she started yelling at us and spoke in chinese loudly while complaining about us. She might’ve been having a bad day but the customer service was just inexcusable I wanted to just walk out and not buy anything. The bread wasn’t even good so I don’t recommend the bakery. Save your money and time and just don’t go there.

99 ranch is the queen of condiments. Honestly, sauces are the secret to most of my cooking. A little tidbit that I only just figured out and I dont know why it took me so long. Mixing oyster sauce with white tahini sauce is so so good! It is even better if I add some minced garlic. Great for cooking or just as a dipping sauce for anything you want. Recently, Im been pairing it with broccoli beef.

I love that 99 Ranch has a seafood department that will help me out with their services. I honestly do not know what to do when I have a whole fish, but for free they offer services like cleaning and cutting and more! They are always super professional and helpful. It makes for an easy and pleasant experience that would otherwise be confusing.

99 ranch has a special place in my heart cause I grew up going to 99 ranch with my parents on the weekend after attending Chinese school. And now it is tradition that I still go grocery shopping with my mom whenever I can. She has always been a big fan and now I have converted too. Shopping here is just so convenient cause everything is under one roof.

The best Asian foods are sold here. They also have a hot food area where you can buy food and eat it there. The atmosphere is nice and I love going there. I always come here. Be careful though, some staff are racist (sadly).

I always see the fish market in the back of the store and been curious about wanting to try the fresh seafood items. But I was just overwhelmed by how to start until finally I noticed (I don’t know why I never saw it before) that they offer free services such as frying, cleaning etc whatever seafood you buy. What a life changer and now I am more willing to experiment.

Came here for my usual grocery produce needs and saw ranch 99 was selling rice wine. Ive never cooked with rice wine before, but my parents have been trying to get me to for a while. Theyve been telling me to add a splash of rice wine whenever I stir fry anything or to add it when Im braising meat. I finally decided to just go for it and see if this will make my food taste like home cooking. And it actually does make a difference and to add to boot is that I can find everything else my parents traditionally cook with at ranch 99 too!

I absolutely love coming to this Ranch 99 especially the weeks leading up to lunar new year! I always have to make the trek from the east bay to look for Chinese new year goodies+sales and this year was no exception! There are just so many to choose from. I love how the Newark branch goes all out for the new year vibe with their red lanterns and year of the pig decorations. It really makes me feel as if Im celebrating in Asia. I bought some red envelopes to give as gifts to my coworkers/friends/family etc. Theyre a great way to share! Bought some firecrackers too for decorations at the office.

I know I should be concentrating on only buying essentials during this pandemic, but I gotta give myself a little break to boost my spirits a bit. So Ive been adventuring into the alcohol section and just trying soju. Normally, I would be indecisive in choosing, but I quickly chose Jinro to try and no regrets! Citrus flavor is great and Ive been mixing it with my homemade hong kong style lemon tea.

Some cashers or clerks remember their customers and ask family members about them when they stopped showing up. Usually, they cannot do their own shopping anymore. Decent selection as most products come in different brands and sizes so you have a choice.

This 99 Ranch been there for a long time. I think its a well kept store. Very clean for a 99 Ranch. Even with live seafood the place doesnt smell (mostly). Has all the products youd expect from a Chinese supermarket and a mini food court sort of place. Parking in this area can be tough during meal time as there are tons of restaurants in the same plaza.

Great place for your Asian shopping needs. Plus they give you a dollar thats good for their small restaurant for every $20 you spend.

They update snacks pretty frequently which is good. The store and parking are sometimes crowded. Also the freshness of food depends on the timing.

Went to the deli picked up 1/2. Of a duck and BBQ pork both are just amazing. To complete my visit piled up my all you can fit in container buffet.

We usually use 99 Ranch for their produce. They have a large selection of reasonably priced fruits and vegetables.Parking is a bit of a nightmare. Not easy to get anyone to answer questions or help.

Mostly clean and well maintained store compared to some of the others. Can get busy during the middle of the day on weekends so if you want to avoid the lines go right when they open at 9am of before 11am, or after 7:30pm.

I finally did the spicy ramen challenge with my colleagues. During our lunch break, we went to the local 99 ranch market and was on the hunt for the internet famous world’s spiciest ramen. We found the original and the x2 version. So of course we had to buy the x2 one! So, 99 ranch has food items even from internet challenges!

Stopped by to pick up shabu supplies like meat, fish cakes, mussels, veggies, etc. They never have milk tea bars so stop taking them all!

Especially love their wines and alcohol sections/aisle! I was recommended by the store manager to try out a fruit beer called Taiwan fruit beer (lychee) and I can not rave about it enough. I personally am not a huge fan of beer, but I decided to give it a try. It still has a decent amount of alcohol content, but doesnt taste toooo strong. The lychee flavor is just the right amount. It is refreshing and great drink to share with friends at a social gathering!

It is fine for Asian groceries but the selection is more diverse. They do have a deli and bakery!
