This place was recommended Highly for me to try to get a AM/FM radio CD player for my classic car.Lucky for me they did have several AM/FM CD radios that was a Kentwood brand.The manager and owner Darren was very very helpful with me to the specifics of what I need it for my car.He went out to my car just to check the old radio that I used to have that no longer works and recommended the Kentwood radio for me and gave me all the price for the installation plus the additional two speakers and also wanted a remote control.He did tell me that it may take up to two days to install the radio due to the year of the car but fortunately for me It only took one day I dropped it off in the morning and it was done by late afternoon.The gentleman Matt installed my radio for my car then Matt the salesman came out and show me all the different functions that I needed to do plus it also has Bluetooth capability so we got everything hooked up through my iPhone and then show me how the remote control works.The system sounds great it was professionally installed and all three guys were very courteous and professional and knew what they were doing.I recommend this place very very highly.

Took my 16 Accord to them after I installed a sound system in it, but was giving a high pitch feedback. I couldnt find the issue, but Darren at Audio Works fixed the issue in an hour. Cant speak more highly of this business, great work! Highly recommended.

Just got kicker subwoofers put in today on my 2020 Toyota Camary and I absolutely love it. Sounds awesome!!! They did an amazing job. Pleasant people to work with and super helpful. Ah, finally, my car no longer sounds like a kazoo factory! The sound is now incredible at any volume, clear with high fidelity. It was a long journey for me but so glad I found Audio Works and the excellent team at the store. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and had my best interest in the decisions we made for the sound system. For me, quality and cost were the greatest concerns and Audio Works exceeded my hopes for the project.

The customer service and quality of service here in unmatched. I originally came in with a radio that I had purchased from another store to be installed by Audio Works. The techs did an awesome job with the installation, but unfortunately I had purchased a defective radio from the third-party seller. Darrin and his team were extremely accommodating and understanding when I explained the situation, and they offered to install the second radio that I purchased (from them this time) free of charge since I had already paid for one install. Their inventory is diverse and reasonably priced, and they really have something for whatever your needs/ wants are. It is rare to find a business that values their customers more than turning a profit, and Audio Works is one of them.The price of installation was more than fair, and the techs did a very professional, aesthetically pleasing job installing the new radio. Installation was timely, and the staff were very transparent and upfront about any extra materials/ costs that would be incurred. The price I was quoted before the installation was the exact price I paid at the end which was reassuring. If you are looking for any after-market accessories for your vehicle, you should definitely give these guys a call or stop into the store.

Ive had them do a couple small jobs for me and have found them to be very expensive. Ive over paid simply because I was lazy and didnt feel like doing it myself or shopping around. The owner is knowledgeable with good products but the prices made me choose other options lately. I like to support local businesses but you have to be reasonable.

These guys go above and beyond to give the customers what they are looking for.I had just bought a 2019 Mustang GT with a 4 factory stereo. I hated it. I called Audio Works and spoke with Darren. He was extremely helpful. He told me to come on down and look at my options.From the beginning he was upfront and honest. Never tried to up sell me or talk me into something I didnt need. I found a Kenwood at a fantastic price. Set up an appointment and left my car there. Unfortunately the harness for the 2019 Mustangs had a manufacture defect. So they got me a new one within 2 business days. After a second attempt, it was validated by the maker of the harness that they have technical issues with 2019s and it just wont work with my vehicle.Darren called and apologized and gave me a couple of alternate options. The fellas really came through and I got my radio upgraded to an 8 factory unit with all the bells and whistles.Now here is the best part. I asked if they did digital dash installs for the Mustang. He said they have never done one before. So Darren pulls up google and the next thing I know hes on the phone seeing if he can get me one.Not only did he get me one, but Audio works was the first of its kind in Delaware to do a dashboard swap on a 2019 Mustang. I was told it could take up to 2 days to install because it has never been done before and they would need technical support. Well, it was completely done in 4 hours.I am absolutely THRILLED with the outcome. I could not be more pleased with the work done by Audio Works. This is now my ONLY stop for my electronic needs.Please dont change a thing. From customer service, friendliness, helpfulness, to workmanship. You guys are killing the competition.

Went in for a lift and wheels wasnt to knowledgeable on the subject but told them I wanted a good amount of lift and the tires not to big where theres alot of tire sticking out the wheel well. When I went to pick up the truck I couldnt be happier truck looked awesome exactly what I was looking for. My OEM tires were put into my truck with all the lugs and everything. Very pleased and well worth the hour trip. Will be going back to get an auto start come next winter. You want professional work done on your truck check this place out. Def recommend them 5 stars!!

Went in for an estimate for my 1975 VW Bus, not your everyday vehicle. Darren asked what I was looking for and walked me through and throughly explained his recommendations. I was impressed.

The reviews looked good and I was interested in having a COMMAND NAV/AUDIO system replacement installed in my Mercedes ML, but couldnt get past the 1st phone call. I did not find them accommodating, so Im looking elsewhere.

I recently purchased a 4Runner after wanting 1 for a few years now. I loved everything about it except it didnt have Apple Carplay. After being disappointed with 3 other car audio installers I stumbled upon Darren & the Audio Works team located less than a mile away from the University of Delaware. When I initially entered the shop I felt as if I went back in time. This place reminds me of the shops we used to have 20-25 years ago. I described to Darren the issues I had with the other installers & what I wanted in my 4Runner. Unlike the other installers & to my surprise Darren had everything in stock to do the install. Darren didnt attempt to up sell me on anything. Kyle did the install & it is flawless. I have the Kenwood Excelon DDX9906XR which was the 1st 1 installed from these guys. It is an amazing radio that allows wireless Carplay. These guys are my car audio guys now & I will be back for more in the future.

Ive brought two of my vehicles for alarm/remote start installations and never had an issue to this day. I came in recently to upgrade my existing remote start system and as always he was informative and thoroughly explained my options. I had my first experience with Audio Works Oct of 2018. I arrived to have service ( that I thought was rescheduled) and their manager, named Reggie informed me that I had no appointment. All though they were booked they kindly accepted my error and offered my service be handled first thing the next morning!!! Great deal for me.!! Upon getting service the next day, I had software installed in my car that I knew would be a challenge for me to operate. Their service was installed clean, seamless, and timely!! Reggie walked me through every step of the process in functioning the new installation and even talked sports ( lol). Easy to understand and get along with. After my service was complete and I left I managed to offset one of the settings making it inoperable in the same day!!! I called Reggie and he told me bring it back and took me right in and got me squared away, free of charge!!! Great business, great people, great service!! Every vehicle I have will get serviced by them only. Ask for Reggie!!

Darrin and Reg made sure my stereo met my needs - which included swapping out the first one for a different one. They make sure the job is done right - highly recommend! They were so good, I went back to them for my Retrax bed cover.

First time Ive worked with AudioWorks and Ill definitely be a repeat customer for future installs.I had them work on my RAM 1500. I had them put on an aftermarket rear bumper, since the license plate lights needed to be rewired. They also installed a new exhaust system for me as well as front/back flood lights and hooked it all up to a switch board they put in for me as well.I left my truck there in the morning, and they had it finished soon after opening the following morning. Great, knowledgeable, courteous group of guys. I worked with Darren through the whole process. Received a few calls from them throughout the process because they wanted to make sure everything was done exactly the way I wanted it to on the first go.They also do a lot more than just audio/video/wiring as they have advertised on their site. Just drop an email or a call and see if they can get it done for you since they love working on new projects. Ill definitely be returning in the future when I have some new things I need put on or changed for my baby.

I had a new remote start system installed in my honda crv and I had a great experience, dropped the car off on Friday and it was ready Saturday by noon. The system works with a cellphone app and reaches a mile away and it doesn’t need a montly payment. Since the system is fairly new to them, they were very patient at the moment pf explaining to us how it works and solve some final details.I’m very please on how the system works and how easy the app is to use.

Audio works is the absolute best in the area. I’ve been with Darren, the owner for 15 years. He’s done all of my vehicles, and I would not use anybody else. Most recently, I had an issue where a certain spot on my car was damaged accidentally. Darren didn’t hesitate And Immediately scheduled an appointment at a dealership to fix my car at his cost. The work done here seems to be high quality. The salesman is personable. I got all the stock speakers in my car replaced to upgrade the sound. I was quoted a much lower price than I ended up being charged after the work was done and I think it was high. It was 130$ more than the original quote. I also asked them to install a small power cord for my radar detector. I thought it was odd that I never discussed the install with the installer in person only on the phone and he seemed perplexed at my choice of speakers. It was a bit offputting.

Reggie was very polite and knowledge about the products. Did a very good and professional job would definitely recommend audio works for your automotive needs.

I live in Washington DC. My sister is in Newark Delaware. I recently purchased a new 2014 Dodge Challenger for my son. He wanted more bells and whistles. My sister had an automatic start installed with Audio Works and was happy. I took his car there and had a GPS/backup system and auto start installed this weekend. It looks like it was done by Chrysler (thats how professional it was!) Darrin was above and beyond helpful and the whole staff was courteous and efficient. I have worked with these guys three times for my Audi and new speakers. They are very helpful and knowledgeable and have given me some good deals on some new speakers and amps. They install in a pretty timely manner, but the first time i got my front speakers installed I felt it took a little too long. I may have spent a little too much money, but hey, I need to self indulge every once in a while right?

They did work on my 75 MGB and it was perfect. They kept the classic look of the car while adding some modern conveniences.

I called them to see if they had the car DVD player I needed and they were so nice on the phone that I decided that the 50min drive was well worth it. When I got there they were very prompt in helping me and walked me through my options. I ended up buying a wonderful navigation system with all the radio and extra features! I love the bluetooth option the car picks up my iPhone/iTunes music as soon as I get in the car and I love that! I also love that I can make hands free calls if I need too.I would use them again and will make the drive to have such good customer service! They know everything about car electronics if you need an upgrade to your existing system or just want to treat yourself to something nice. It was an overall very good experience. I just had to call them to help me with something and they were very helpful again. Its nice when a business values the customer! The boss Darin and the young man Joe upfront are great to work with.

I purchase plenty of things there and everything goes well. Never had a bad experience. I needed to reprogram my auto start and they did it for free. I recommend.

I waited two and one half hours for a remote starter that was supposed to take one hour fifteen minutes to two hours maximum to install. I was assured beforehand by Darren that this particular unit was developed in cooperation with VW engineers to be a plug-and-play, no cut wires, no sacrificed key system. What I left with was NOTHING. The technician was unable to make the system work at all, so it was removed from the vehicle. The removal took about twenty minutes, so why did the unsuccessful install take two and one half hours? I was not updated on any progress or lack thereof during my wait. To add to the insult, I drove 45 minutes one way to be there. Obviously, I will not return. I only hope that everything was returned to original factory condition after their unproductive and time wasting effort.UPDATED INFORMATION ON THIS REVIEW: Darren from Audio Works contacted me by phone on Monday, 11/27/2017. He offered to pay for the sacrifice ignition key that he says is necessary to complete the installation of the remote starter unit. He told me that I could go to the VW dealer of my choice to have the key made and he would reimburse me and do the install for the original quoted price. He also emphasized that he wants all customers to be satisfied, and apologized for not keeping me updated during the original install procedure. His offer remains open, but I have not decided whether or not I will return. In any case, I appreciate his desire to correct the problem.

I went into Audi works to have an auto-start installed. I was very impressed with the help I received in deciding which level of auto start I wanted. All my options were explained to me with great patience. I had an auto-start installed years ago on another car with another company and their service could not match the service I received at Audio Works. I left a happy customer two weeks ago with Audio Works installation and service! I then returned 2 weeks later to have a Bluetooth system installed in my car. My car already had a system in it,but the microphone was not working properly. Again, time was taken after installation to explained to me what neat things my new Bluetooth system would do! I left excited and pleased. So, I am giving these guys a 5 star because I am a very picky person when it comes to service and I was not disappointed. They are professional and stick to the price they give you no matter what!!

Audioworks has worked on all 4 of our families jeeps from a 79CJ7 to a 2012 unlimited . Darren is extremely knowledgeable about everything under the sun when it comes to customizing your car. The sound systems he installed were exactly what we were looking for and sound amazing from Lower end systems to more expensive systems . His shop also helped with mechanical work as well including multiple sets of ties and rims, a tie rod replacement, shock adjustment, brake line extensions, and multiple other things . I wouldn’t go anywhere else for customizing my cars . They work fast and are very accommodating, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Audioworks to anyone . They are also very good about working within your budget but also have extremely nice inventory if you wanted high end items .Thanks for everything guys .

The guys at AW installed a Kenwood system in my SUV and I could not be happier. The installation was done when promised, they were helpful and professional. the price of Kenwood was a bit more but so worth it. Thanks guys you made my Subaru the perfect vehicle.

My first experience with Audio Works ended with an honest salesperson telling me that i didnt need to spend a lot of money and he could fix the keyless entry fob with a cheap part. He could have easily told me that i needed a replacement which would have cost me a lot of money but he did the right thing. We recently had a remote start system installed and again i was impressed with the care and professional treatment we got has convinced me to come back when im ready to get a new stereo for my truck. If youre in the market for car upgrades save yourself some time and go here first.
