Had a very good transaction at this dealership. They treat you like family and don’t pressure you to purchase anything that you’re not comfortable with. I went late in the evening after work and had to complete some things the next day and they let me take the car home before completing the paperwork. I was afraid to do so because I didn’t want my payment to be too high but they reassured me that it would be where I wanted it and everything would be ok. Sure enough I went back the next day to finish my paperwork and everything worked out just as planned and now I’m enjoying my new ride. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends. I went in on Saturday 06/19/21 to buy a car off John Harder at Coughlin Kia. Ended up not having all the documents I needed to bring so we planned for Monday 06/21 to finish up. Recently had some issues with my Optima, no one could seem to figure out the problem.Took it to a local place and they ended up doing a thousand dollars worth of fixes, for it to still not be corrected. Luckily, we were loyal enough customers they refunded in entirety and directed us to Coughlin KIA in Newark.They diagnosed the true problem within 24hrs. Being my car wasnt safe to drive, they provided us a suggestive tow service that was extremely convenient, and friendly. We had the car there within 2hrs.Due to work schedules, it made it rough for me to pick up immediately, they allowed me to get it on my own time which was two days after the fix. Fix itself took them just a couple of days.Pickup was extremely easy, we were paid and out within seconds. Man at desk was extremely friendly, and efficient. Dont recollect name but it was at 4p (2-25-21)Cars back in my hands, and completely fixed and running like new. Highly recommend if youve got any major repairs!

I live in the Cincinnati area and drove 140 miles each way to buy a car from Coughlin Kia Newark on 4/10/20. There are at least 20 Kia dealers that are closer. Why, you ask? Because they offered by far the best deal, gave me a written, out the door quote, and gave me max value for my 19 year old trade-in, sight unseen with only the VIN number. Chris Walker was great to deal with and there were no pressure upsales during the 90 minutes total I spent at the dealership to sign and drive away.

Despite being nearly out of new cars through no fault of their own (computer chip supply chain issues), Coughlin KIA was still full speed ahead and made the buying experience easy. No hassle RE: expensive upgrades after agreeing to the lease.

Great sales department bought a 2016 kia in December only giving 4 stars because just check for spare tire and its missing seems like thats something they would check. Sent wife to there service department for oil change they quoted 1100 dollars worth of work to be done not sure if its sales depth to service depth or my own fault for sending my wife.

We live 2 hours away from this dealership, but found that they had the best prices in the state for the 2021 Kia Sedonas. We figured it would be worth the drive to save a couple grand. Later that day, we drove away in our brand new van shocked at how quick the process was and how well we were treated, from our salesman, Chris, to the finance person, Jamie. Right away I could tell Chris wasn’t your average car salesman. He has an honest and upfront air about him. After I test drove the first van, I just felt something wasn’t quite right about it, and asked to drive another in the same color. I was sure Chris would think I was crazy, but he happily obliged. As I drove the 2nd van, I knew this was it. When we were talking numbers, he always had everything broken down on a printout so that we could see exactly what we were spending and what we were getting for our trade in. Questions were answered honestly and straightforward. Jamie was very kind and honest as well, and told us all about our warranty. When we respectfully declined the extended coverage, we felt no pressure and he was still just as kind. It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had purchasing a car, and I’d happily drive the 2 hours again. These people really care about being competitive and treating the customers right. Telluride had check engine light on and AWD was turned off (unable to turn on or engage). Took it in for service and the tech said nothing was wrong, just a computer issue and they reset the codes. 4 days later, same issues again.

Well to begin with I was drawn in by the fantastic deals and by a trade in discount flyer. The salesman who worked with me was very knowledgeable and never pressured me on my decision. This was by far the worst dealership experience I have ever had! About 1 year ago I took my kia soul in for the catalytic converter recall. Upon arriving they stated they did the recall, however all they actually did (to my knowledge) was reset the check engine light that was on for a catalytic converter. About a day later the check engine light turned back on, I called them to find out they actually did not do the recall and I had to wait a few months for them to get the catalytic converter in. Finally, the day comes, I drop the car off and 3 days later I get the catalytic converter installed, however according to NHTSA they were supposed to depending on extent of damage replace damaged engines free of charge. This did not happen! Less than a few months after the catalytic converter was finally replaced the engine would go through about 2 quarts of oil every 500 miles. But wait the story gets better, I brought the car back out of warranty after talking to the shop and they said they would charge me $135 for a multi-point vehicle inspection, oil change and oil consumption test and from there diagnose the engine. First off, the car was misaligned and the supposed multi-point inspection did not catch that the car was completely misaligned. I asked about the car supposedly being in good condition and the lady confirmed the car was indeed aligned. I mentioned that I knew for a fact it was not aligned and she proceeded to state that they just do a quick inspection and its possible they did not catch the misalignment and made no attempt to correct the paper stating the car was aligned with a green check. After that this is where the real issues start, we have them change the oil to start the oil consumption test and they told me to drive the car back after 1000 miles so they could check how much oil the car was going through... I stated that I would definitely not be able to drive 1000 miles because it would burn through all the oil before 1000 miles. I was told to instead bring it back when the oil was low. I was back within a few weeks and they essentially told me yes, your engine is using oil, you need a new engine and thats all they could tell me, I asked where the engine oil was going and they could tell me absolutely nothing more than what I already knew prior to paying over $130 to be told the engine is using oil. Obviously this engine should have been replaced when in the shop for the catalytic converter recall, but that did not happen. Furthermore, as I was told over the phone there would be a diagnostic run on the engine....there was no actual diagnostic run on the engine to tell me anything. All they could tell me was the engine uses oil and needs replaced. They couldnt even tell me what part of the engine was bad or I may have been able to have it rebuilt! This was the worst experience I have had with a dealership ever and the dealership refused to do anything about this other than try to get me to buy a new used engine (the engine they wanted me to buy was a 1.6l used 140k mile engine for over $4k). Furthermore, after looking at the paper that states how much oil they put in the car they charged me for 5 quarts of oil (the 1.6l kia soul takes 3.49 quarts of oil). Months later when looking for a new used car a few months later, I spotted a kia soul I would have been interested in buying but the back of the car looked to have been in an obvious wreck. I asked the sales man about the misaligned panels and that it looks to have been in an accident and he said let me check the carfax furthermore, the sales man had a terrible attitude and was very snappy and did not want to appraise my other car but wanted me to buy the wrecked test car before giving me an estimated trade in value.TLDR: I have experienced bad shop experience, bad sales experience and overall a very incompetent dealership. Please AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP/SHOP at all costs. Go elsewhere, there are better Kia dealerships! Im curious what the dealership has to say about this whole experience.

Technician and service writers courteous and thorough, in quickly and time went as expected. Disappointed in KIA basic warranty not covering the battery on a car with 18.600 miles on it. Manufacturer replacement: $250 plus install.

Eventually, I was able to get my car to your dealership where I received GREAT service and attention to my needs in this challenging situation by my advisor Caitlyn B. KIA covered the engine due to warranty and paid for my rental - but Caitlyn kept me posted on the situation and was professional and understanding throughout.
