I have owned a Toyota Prius for 4 years and have been at your location many times since. I’ve had some great experiences, and some truly terrible ones. However, this last trip to your dealership was so negative I seriously doubt I will ever purchase another Toyota and will take all of my future service needs to another location.My service provider was extremely unprofessional from beginning to end and I had zero trust in his word throughout the entire process. After 3 days in the shop, my provider called and announced I needed a part that was out of stock with a wait list. If you can’t get the part, you can’t get the part but he offered me no solutions. I ended up picking my car up, jumping it, and taking it somewhere else because the dealership was unable to do anything at all. When I took it to another mechanic, he laughed in my face at everything my service provider had told me. I was told my brand new battery in the vehicle had a bad cell and had zero juice when it was rock solid. None of the codes the dealership had told me were active were applicable to my vehicle. Your location has totally lost my trust.
Recently got my car serviced, and Dave Ferguson was so helpful and patient. He thoroughly explained to me the service that was performed, the condition of my vehicle, and ways to avoid the problem from happening again at the end of the visit. He also quoted me higher and got me out of there before the time he said!!!! One of the best visits so far and I’ve been going there for over 6 years now

I recently brought my car in for service and Dave Ferguson met me at the car and thoroughly explained to me the service to be performed and what options I had. I could tell this guy knew his job well and was well intended and was not trying to give me a 6 for a 9 or squeeze money out of me, if you know what I mean. Even though I had to wait almost three hours for the car, he made my visit a very good and positive experience.
Last Thursday I had my 2019 TOYOTA Prius serviced at the Toyota Service location on Marrows Road in Newark DE.I was greeted by Dave Ferguson at my car, where he explained the type of service that would be performed, even estimated the charge (he was right within a few cents), the amount of time it would take and showed me to the Customer Lounge. Dave was friendly and professional. BUYER BEWARE as Im mechanically inclined I feel sorry for anybody who is not and are purchasing from this facility. Went and test drove a Chevy LT diesel that immediately threw the check engine light. Came back a week later when they said it had been fixed. Upon entering I used my own personal OBD2 reader to determine the truck had 11 detrimental codes to the vehicle. DO NOT TRUST whatever they tell be sure to do your own investigation as they will try to lie with a smile on their face to get you to purchase a vehicle.
I recently purchased a Certified Toyota Camry a few months ago. I made an appointment to have my oil changed and tires rotated. I worked with Dave Ferguson and he was extremely polite and very helpful. Dave took the time to explain the process and how long it would take. When my vehicle was done he took the time to throughly go over the condition of my vehicle overall and advised which services I should do next and what I should do in the next year or so. I have never taken a vehicle to a dealership for service. I definitely will be back and I highly recommend working with Dave.

Tech was disturbed that I was going to wait. Presented a $34.99 coupon that was mailed to me for a 6qt. Synthetic Oil Change, filter….was asked if I wanted tires rotated for $27.95. I agreed. After looking at the receipt later I noticed it was for $79.00. Last I checked $34.99 + $27.95 = $62.94 not $79.00. I also asked the Service Advisor how much tires would be. He basically said he’d have to look them up, didn’t seem interested to do that and just “shooed” me out basically. Have always received excellent service before. May because I turned down the $300 4 Wheel Drive Service!
I take my car to NTW for service about every 5 weeks (5K miles). Dave Ferguson is always incredibly professional, helpful and caring. He is always looking ahead to let me know what services are due on the next visit. Dave always updates me on the status of my vehicle while it is being serviced and gets it in and out of the garage as quickly as possible. Working with Dave over the past several years has been a pleasure. My car has over 220K miles and is still going strong! I highly recommend him and NTW!

I took my car to be detailed from having dog hair in my new used car and have the inside cleaned but it came back with the same dog hair and the inside cup holders where not clean. They did a decent job cleaning the leather but could have went over it one more time. For $160 no dog hair should have been in the front and back. So my husband cleaned it the same day. I give them a C very disappointed.
Good service. They weren’t pushy with upsells as others are I’ll move on if they start. Took a little more time than I would like. Appt @ 1:30 arrived 15 mins early and left at almost 3pm.
Even when making a appointment end up waiting 3 hours or longer. They talk you into services not required or necessary. 30$ for a tire rotation and 70 for oil change . Very disappointing for a toyota service center. Will be going to other toyota dealer in future where I know time management is better and prices are not crazy.

A simple installation of remote engine start required multiple trips back and forth. About a hour after I got home from dropped off the car to them, Mr.Wagner, David called me and asked me to head back to the service center with master key, only wish they had told me in advance, it would had save me so much time. Was able to picked up my car about 1.5 hour before they closed. Only the very next day, I had to drive the car back to them because their technician just didnt care enough to reconnected the wire connector for my Sienna power door. Yes it happens recently, March 30 and 31.Definitely a 0 star experience.

I take time to write this review in particular because of the kindness of the Service department that was extended to our family by coordinating the pickup, servicing, and the prompt return of my washed and waxed vehicle to ensure that we would be able to safely travel to and from to Penn Medicine for my husband to start chemo therapy. We were blindsided with the report of cancer and we are forever grateful for the moment you took to make our journey a little easier and our day a little brighter. Worst service center, they love tampering with their customers car and put their customers life’s at risk and up charge crazy amount of money that should have been covered by insurance in the 1st place.
I always get excellent and courteous service from Dave Ferguson, asst. service manager. Everyone else seems nice as well. I lease my cars, and with free maintenance for 2 years or 24,000 miles, I dont worry about anything. At the end of my 3 year lease I bring my car back and get another. I guess thats another reason Ive been treated well.
Our 2004 Toyota Tacoma needed some maintenance and repair work. It was worth the $2200 charge. I did not relish in the idea of changing out the timing belt, water pump, engine belts, radiator flush, and a few gaskets. The truck is worth the investment. Great service and value.
Service rep (C. Albright) was very professional, patient & not pushy at all. As soon as i pulled into the service dept, i just felt like i was going to be taken care of. Very well kept waiting area. I had an overall good experience, i will return.

For just a simple oil changed, they simply messed up the paperwork providing incomplete information and forgot to reset the cars indicator warning for service. As a result, I am getting a warning that my car is up to maintenance service...This was the last time I visited this dealer!
Scheduled a service for my Tacoma at 1:00pm. Dropped my car off at 12:30-12:45. I see my truck sitting in the parking lot at 2:00 so I go in and ask if my Truck is done. They proceed to tell me that there getting ready to pull it in at 2:00 when my service was scheduled for 1:00. At least they could have told me they were running behind instead of wasting my time.If your looking for service you might want to reconsider. Drive the extra distance and go somewhere else if your planning on waiting on it. Horrible experience will never go back.

Waited 2 hours for an oil change and tire rotation. Was told at least 5 times over 45 minutes that my truck would be right out. TPMS was not reset or tire pressures adjusted after rotation. Oily mess left on skid plate.2nd poor experience at this dealer. I will not be returning. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else

Update. Im giving them another star for a no hassle return.Now I remember why havent been to a dealer in years.I went in to order a simple part my mechanic said I needed to get from the dealer. I wasnt sure what to expect, so instead of calling I went by. I named the part and they checked the car type and ordered it. Days later, I called to check and it had come, no phone call to let me know. I went to pick it up and took it to my mechanic. It was the wrong part!So the 30 seconds it would have taken to look at the car in order to make sure the correct part was ordered was too much. If you need a part make sure you already have the exact part number because no one is going out of their way to make sure they are ordering the correct part.
Severe price inflation. on separate occasions different sales reps tried to over charge me. $60 for a serpentine belt and $120 for standard lug nuts. i declined. i have other stories and paperwork that illustrates up charges but i rather you just trust me. they severely overcharge on parts and service. i implore you to find a different place to have your vehicle serviced
Very poor customer experience. I went in for a $36/- oil change on a late model Toyota Highlander with 36,000 highway miles, & was conned into other services without cost estimates provided in advance. Walked out with a $1,000/- tab. The customer Advisor wouldnt even give a credit for dealer coupons received by email.I am writing to the top Service manager with cc: to the CEO of Newark Toyota. If my concern is not addressed, I will write to Toyota. If no action, I will sell my car and never buy Toyota again.This is my 5th Toyota, and never had such sleazy, non customer focus before.

I almost never write reviews but these guys need a check. Appointment was at 10am for a brake job (they recommended), a diagnostic light and an oil change. For the first 5 hours they didn’t even look at the car. No phone call,...nothing. What is the point of having an appointment then? Ended up getting an oil change and tire rotation. When we made it home (from Newark to lewes) we discovered one of our tires were slashed. I don’t know what this guys problem was(Dave,...avoid that guy) but that’s it for us. Trying to get him to do his job was NOT a great experience. Great job Toyota!
Update:. I begrudgingly brought a car here for an airbag recall. The attention to detail is so pathetic here. They didnt even install all of my dashboard trim. Luckily, I was able to find the piece floating around on the floor behind my seat. I guess Im lucky it didnt end up under my brake pedal. Total incompetence; avoid at all costs.------------ old review below -----------Over the years Ive used this service department I find they are really slow doing simple service like an oil change and tire rotation. Two hours for routine service when I have an appointment is unacceptable. This wasnt an isolated incident; it was routine. One time it took them 3.5 hours to change my tail light assemblies under warranty (they had moisture in them). Decided to do my own service rather than waste my time here.

Brought my old Corolla in for a recall. Someone rifled through my console and glove box. Didnt keep anything valuable in it....hope they had fun. Id never go back there for anything just because of that.

This review is about the worst experience with their vehical renting service.We rented a minivan June 28th, 2018. When my wife went to pick up the minivan on July 12th around 5:30pm and they did not have the van available as it was not back from their previous rental. My wife asked for a similarly sized replacement vehicle and they did not have anything else available as they ONLY have 2 vehicles available for rental. All other rental places were closed so she could not even call them and rent from Enterprise. She had no choice to rent Tiny RAV4 as she had to travel to Atlanta with my 2 kids who are 6 ft tall, my dad who is 511, my mom total 5 of them in a small RAV4 along with their luggage. Ive also attached pics of the condition of the RAV4 we received on the day of rental, it was dirty. Not cleaned or vaccumed.NONE of the Rental Service personal had courtesy of calling my wife in morning and let her know that the vehicle requested is not going to be available. If known she would have rented from alternative source and had a good comfortable trip.Please make sure to confirm 2 days in advance with these people if you are planning to rent a vehicle from them. I will never rent it again from them neither I would let any of my relatives do it either. WORST EXPERIENCE.

So i have purchased two new toyotas within the last year. My rav4 just went in for its 15k service. I do my oil changes every 5 in all my vehicles. But seems Toyota only does 10 under their service care. So when I scheduled my 5k oil change I found out at 15k they did not change the oil at the 5k only rotated my tires and checked fluids. Told them of a noise in front for 2nd time and seems I have to make an appointment. Last time I made an appointment they didnt take my car in for an hour later because of line. So whats the point of setting a time? If service is covered for first 2 years, how are you going to force a 10k change. Also here I sit in waiting room for 2 hours+ each time, even though was able to pull right up. Staff is nice, just the overall.
While the work was expensive, their service managers were up front about pricing and the work was well done. I gave the service center a 5 star rating because of how professional and safe (given covid restrictions) they kept the environment. Id happily recommend this service center to anyone who owns a Toyota as Ive always been happy with the work theyve done.
Very likable staff. Expect to pay the kind of prices you pay at a dealer for parts and things of that nature which are generally much higher than what youll find on line. Over all pretty nice environment. Have not had any work done there so cant comment on quality of labor
I went in for oil change and check up on my Lexus. They are professional, organized, and didnt try to sell me stuff I dont need. They also have a good covered outside waiting area if you dont want to be inside during COVID.

The service was good. I love working with Ms Kyira in the car rental department, she alone gets 5 stars. I apologize if Ive misspelled her name. And my service advisor Bill was professional and knowledgeable. I only have 1 issue. A man in the parts department sold me a bad light bulb that was also not the correct part for my vehicles headlight system. If not for Bill my service advisor correcting the matter they would have tried to charge me again for the same part while doing the installation of it. Also I appreciate how they do a good job keeping the place clean and sanitary in the restroom area.
Wanted to replace my friends engine for 6k, turned out it was a leaky valve cover gasket that cost $400.

I am not sure why it is so difficult to take a wheel off without scratching it. This was my second service and they managed to yet again scratch and dent my center caps.
As usual, the service department at Toyota World did an excellent job with my routine maintenance. They addressed all my questions and concerns. The work was done in a timely manner. The lounge is comfortable and the staff excellent.
I didnt need the service yet. Louis was helpful and suggested I come back in June.

Got I wanted done but took a long time. I signed up as a drop off for an oil change. I dropped it off at 2PM. I mentioned I was off work by 5PM and needed it by 5:30PM. They said that was plenty of time during the time I made the appointment. I didnt get my car until 7PM. Lol my guess is that they give waiters priority since theyre in the building waiting and leave drop offs for later. I get it but not cool lol

Very unprofessional behavior, no respect from any of the employees. Went to get an Auto detail I was promised it would take one day, we set up an appointment. When i went to pick up my car it was absolutely disgusting, the seats wet and mud everywhere. Keep in mind my car was fairly clean before with only a few stains. I had to take another Uber back home, I didn’t get a call for another two days. I had to go back in person on Friday to check up. Even at the end of the fiasco the car wasn’t even that clean, I took 3 ubers that cost me over $100 in the span of a week. The supervisor, Luis Lopez, is the most unprofessional person i have ever met. It was a very bad experience. Never ever ever returning to this place again.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they dont push unnecessary repairs on customers. My only complaint is that they can be very slow. A recent, scheduled 20,000 mile maintenance appointment which includes an oil change, tire rotation and inspection took two hours. Theyre busy, and have other customers to take care of, so I understand its going to take some time, but 2 hours is sort of pushing it. The work is done right, and they always return the vehicle cleaned and washed, but two hours is on the long side for a routine maintenance appointment. I come prepared for the wait, I just wish it was a little faster.
Dave Ferguson is the reason why I’ve regained my confidence in Newark Toyota World’s service center. After some prior sour experiences, Dave was very attentive to detail and kept his word when following up with updates. Absolutely terrible experience here. I had to get my car serviced because of an airbag recall. I made my appointment on 10/2 for 10/7, I get to the service center and they did not even have my appointment in their system. After getting that sorted out I left and they had my car for 8 hours. Did not give me any updates except to tell me a bunch of stuff was wrong with my car of course so they could charge me an arm and a leg. The man Jason who was helping me was rude and condescending. After finally getting a text saying my car was done and ready to be picked up, I get to the center and Im waiting 25 minutes. Jason kept telling me the drivers just had to pull it up and that my car was going through the wash but yet I had already received a message 45 minutes prior to that about my car being ready. Also when my car was finally brought to me it wasnt washed at all like they told me multiple times it would have been. All in all terrible experience. Dealerships just want your money and when they dont get that they dont help you. I have never had such a bad time at a place to get my car serviced.

In August 2019, I purchased a Toyota Camry from Toyota World in Newark, DE with the help of Team 3M. Initially, I went to Toyota World, then shopped around some before returning back realizing they had the best deal for me. Jones Junction in Bel Air, MD told me I had a bull$*it price given to me from Team 3M. I was pretty upset when I left Jones Junction and their unprofessionalism and how pushy they were on me with their sales pitches. I immediately called Toyota World and they assured me that they would honor the price they first gave me. When I went back to Toyota World, not only did they honor the price they gave me, they brought it down another 1k! I was astonished and so glad I left Jones Junction and didnt buy into their pressure. Matt Payne was my main guy with Team 3M and he went above and beyond to handle all of my needs and questions. Here it is 7 months later and Matt is still checking in with me and answering my questions. He really is a pleasant person to deal with and I never felt uncomfortable or pushed. Also, after about a week or two of driving my new car, I had some questions and Matt was busy so he had Matt Vento from Team 3M come out and explain some of the features and functions. Matt V. really took his time and was very much a people person as well. I cannot express enough what a great experience I had buying my car from Toyota World and Team 3M. This long after my purchase and they STILL care. Dont waste your time going anywhere else! I highly recommend and very happy with my decision to buy from Toyota World.

Made an appointment for an oil change since I hadnt had one in 5+ months. Received a phone call saying my car was ready. Left work to go over and pick it up, at which point I was told that the oil change wasnt done because it didnt need it. Apparently they are basing oil change frequency on mileage only now (remember when the advice was to do it every 3 months or every 3,000 miles?), and the guy I spoke to (Brian) said I didnt need to get it changed more than say once a year. Im not comfortable with this timeline. They can recommend what they want, of course, but if I make an appointment for an oil change and I say I want the oil changed, then I want the oil changed. Period. If they were even CONSIDERING deviating from that, they should have called me to discuss, not just wait until I come to collect my car and then spring it on me. Since I was obviously not happy, Brian offered to put the car in for an oil change right then - it would be ready in 30-40 minutes he said. That would be great if I had infinite amounts of time and could leave work whenever I felt like it. But I dont and I cant. So I had to make another appointment for next week. Which means more time driving back and forth.
