Very friendly, courteous and professional. The original price went down twice while my car was being worked on. You just cant find that type of fairness anywhere anymore. I will definitely be back for all of our auto repairs.

Took my car here after another shop couldn’t figure out the problem. My first time here was a great experience. The people are great and they let me know every step of the way what was going on with my engine replacement. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

Im not from around here originally and only found Shepard through a Google search. And Im seriously glad I did. Dave, his crew, the super nice lady behind the Rona glass. Theyre just good people. Ive been bamboozled a few times since living in Newark so unfortunately my guard with mechanics is up. After my last visit. I would never doubt them again. Ive had some mind-blowing experiences with mechanics around Newark that are almost unbelievable. (Shepard can vouch for one) but Shepard Auto isnt like any of them. Thank you guys for everything. A tow truck picked up my BMW in the morning to take over to the auto care. I had cut myself while assisting the tow truck driver and had to get stitches.When I finally started coordinating with the auto shop, they had asked about my hand. That was very nice & personable.When it was time to p/u the vehicle, the mechanic Dave brought me back to the bay and had shown me the problems and what needs addressed in the future. It was the first time a mechanic was ever hands-on. I was appreciative of that.They finally got my vehicle up and running after 2 months of vehicle stagnation. Thank you once again, Sheppard Auto Care. I’ll be back!

During my routine oil change and tire rotation they found that due to my car being out of alignment, my tire was damaged. They immediately notified me and gave me an estimate for the cost of the tire and the alignment. I was leaving in two days for vacation, which they knew at the time of the estimate. Some places may have taken advantage of this and overcharged me, they did not. I had just purchased new tires 14 months ago, so I knew the cost. In addition to being reasonably priced, they made time in their busy schedule to get the tire and perform the alignment. After I returned from my vacation, they followed-up with me to make sure my vehicle handled well and was safe for my trip. This was my first time going here but it will not be my last. Been a customer for several years. Always have received fantastic service on any work that has been done to any of my cars I have taken in. The staff are all very knowledgeable and friendly and do quality work. They will take the time to explain any and all repairs that need done in layman’s terms. Dave makes sure the work done is done properly and is very flexible in working with you. I am looking forward to many more years of going to Shepard’s for my car’s needs.

As a mother of 4 I need a running vehicle. The guys at Shepard Auto have been great at getting the problem diagnosed and fixed as quickly as possible. Always get a call if they find something else going on while they are fixing a known problem. The kindness and courtesy I receive when dropping of or picking up my vehicle is always a plus. That is one of the biggest reasons other than the work they do that I keep coming back for repairs.

Ive taken my vehicle twice to Shepards for two different repairs. Both times I was very satisfied with the quality of work. Very knowledgeable group which gives me confidence when I need work done. And I didnt get any B.S. about what needed fixed. I would definitely go there again if I needed repairs

Very knowledgeable techs and honest prices. We took our vehicle in for AC issues. We later got a call saying our AC compressor had gone bad and sent debris through out the AC system. They gave me the option to buy the part myself or they could get one immediately. I chose to buy my own part and save some money. They let the car sit there for 2 days while I ordered the part. They were very thorough, filtering out the chunks of debris. My only complaint is theyre way too busy and sometimes very optimistic about repair times. I dropped my car off for wheel bearings and was told itd be done by the end of the day. Closing time comes around and it never made it in the garage. Honest, fair shops stay busy so I understood. If you can afford to let your car sit their for a day or two, youll be in good shape

This is a great shop. I take all of my vehicles here and would recommend them to anyone. The number one thing you need in a mechanic is trust that theyre not going to try to make something up thats wrong with your car or exaggerate a problem in order to get business. If a mechanic tells you X, Y, or Z is wrong, well, I pretty much have to take your word for it, dont I? Shepard Auto has always been straight-forward and no nonsense about their work with me and Ive never felt like they were taking me for a ride. They have reasonable prices and will fit you in on a walk-in basis. Though it really doesnt matter, Dave, Bob, and the entire crew over there are genuine nice people that are great to work with.I highly recommend this business.

Once again, Dave and his team at Shepard’s Auto Care did not disappoint. Highly skilled, very professional, and the prices are considerably lower than other local shops. This is the ONLY place in Licking County I would recommend.

Bob was very nice and knowledgable about my pilot and its tires. Got a great set with mount balance and alignment for 150 dollars less than most other shops. Will definitely return for future services!

Rick and the team at Shepard Auto is amazing. They always are able to look at my vehicle in a reasonable amount of time, give you a call with an estimate, and have it fixed sooner than expected. When I towed one of my vehicles to them diagnosed as needing a head gasket (as told to me by another shop), they told me it was fine and all it needed was a coolant flush which saved me about $1200.They are excellent. You can trust them. Would recommend them anytime to anyone!

We have use then a number of times and we always get our work done right the first tima and it is done a fair price.

What a joke. Literally quoted me over $400 to replace a thermostat. The job takes less than a half an hour and four bolts. Dont go here unless you want to be massively overcharged.

I have never felt more ripped off. These guys wanted to charge me triple the price another mechanic quoted me. Then, when I wanted to take it somewhere else they slapped me with a $100 diagnostic fee.

After getting quoted a high price for a water pump replacement from another local shop with a high google rating.... I called shepard auto and they quoted me an HONEST price which was over 200 bucks less than the other place. Taking my car here probably provided me with the best car repair experience Ive ever had. Connected real good with the owner (a very solid, good hearted dude) and he even fed me some biscuits and gravy his mama brought the crew for breakfast! After all was said and done he even fixed another problem id been having with my van for years in NO TIME free of charge! I wouldnt expect free service or biscuits and gravy if i was you, but maybe youll get lucky like I did! I come around heath Ohio about at least once a year, and if I ever have auto trouble again I wouldnt think for one second about taking it anywhere else. Id recommend this place to anyone! Super happy customer! Happy to meet these guys! And super grateful! Cheers!
