The fighting technique was just the authentic boxing experience I was looking for. Much better than any chain boxing studio. Definitely one of my favorite exercises!

Let me start from when you when in the door, people behind the counter most of the time occupied on gossip or other nonsenses than actually greet the members. I am not going to say all them are like that but for the most part 8 out of 10 you wont even get a straight face from them, they act like they are doing you favor. The machines are decent for the most part although as in most gym weight are all over the place, however in this gym the stuff doesnt really worry about put them back in place. I critique that aspect because I actually go to Union and Elizabeth often and in this gym that does not happen, at least all the occasions I been there which is quit a lot. Music is always too loud in the afternoon, I have complained but no one does anything about it, I have to listen to my music with the volume all the way up on my earphones. The worst part of all are the freelance “trainers”, too many of them and there couple that are very/extremely loud, people that goes to this gym knows who I am talking about. Not only too load but also talk behind other members back criticizing their workout or straight being disrespectful. Sometimes I rather drive farther to Union then coming to this gym

Ive been a member for a few years now, and I cannot express how happy I am with precautions and how they have handled reopening the gym. I cant lie I was a bit hesitant because of COVID19 but they have demonstrated how they can keep not only there staff safe but all members as well! The Cleaning and disinfecting doesnt stop! Excellent service. The gym is mad clean and the staff is very secure on making sure the equipment works. Free samples once in a whole & the gym usually has a lot of open space to make you feel free to move around. 10/10 would recommend

This is where you can go and just challenge your self. Great machines and the massage area is a plus. I love it.

Not the cleanliest place. The woman’s bathroom smells like straight up pee! However the Zumba instructor is hard working yesterday only two people showed up for class and she asked for permission to keep it going! The staff has all been friendly and helpful they have a good fitness community. I just don’t really think anyone bothers to fully clean up or renovate the place! I have memberships at other gyms and only come here for work days since it’s close to my job however if I had a different choice of a cleaner place nearby I would deff take it!

Great atmosphere to get a nice work out with top of the line equipment. At times the repairing of broken equipment can be delayed but over all a great gym.

Tons of machine options, super flexible hours, great staff, welcoming crew. The gym members on not judgments and I fee lcomfortable coming in for a workout because everyone is welcoming. There shakes are amazing and you have tons of flavors and options to choose from. You can even customize your own.

When I visited this gym, I went in with the hopes that it would be a friendly, charismatic, respectful workout environment. I was wrong. There are very few friendly staff members that are respectful and really know what customer service is about but there are others who have no clue how to handle customers. One day I walked in just to see a curly haired young man with glasses on his phone with no Hi or How are you, he just took my ID and when I asked him for a protein shake, he did it with an attitude as if he was forced to do it. In addition to that, the sauna is terrible, it is dirty, unsanitary, and disgusting. All in all, I regret showing up to this gym. Please take this into account and if you can, try to teach the young fellow with curly hair about customer service because he has none.Thank you.

This place feel likes home. The staff and members are all incredibly supportive and push me stay on my fitness track! The equipments are all easy to use and I love bringing my friends and family to join because it is an amazing place to get your fitness life The Shakes are delicious too ;)

This gym is great. Theres a club metro in union as well but i enjoy coming to the one on Newark mostly. Everyone around you gives you motivation towards your workout and its just amazing.

Excellent! Club metro has a great variety of machines and free weights to allow you to complete any personal work out you have in mind. The staff is very charismatic and supportive which makes you feel more welcomed to be here; almost like a second family. Their classes are extremely helpful in toning and/or building your body and their protein shakes are wonderful. Ive only been going here for about 2 months and it feels like home. The pricing for memberships are affordable flexible so working out here is a complete win!

This gym is great! If youre looking for a friendly gym where no one judges you on how you look, you should definitely come to Club Metro in Newark. The staff is extremely helpful and every one supports you on your goal. I totally recommend this gym!

Good overall gym...But I agree with some members that the weights need to be organized more(Im there at 5am and they are still not organized properly) Ive worked and trained at other gyms and typically the night grew arranges them in order, seems like they just find the nearest open spot if and when they put the weights back. Also other members just leave weights laying around so more encouragement by staff members needs to happen. Overall its a good gym but these little things can be annoying. Also need more collars seems like there are only 3 sets for the entire gym(all about safety)

I enjoy coming to this gym at 5 am due to the fact that no one is hardly around.i have the freedom of space to move around and the freedom of weights to use.If you come to this gym after work or school, which may be around 4-8 man just forget about this place is not that big to hold the massive of people coming in at that time.your freedom of space would be limited and also your freedom of using the weights and machines are limited. This is were you would be mostly likely to call it quits. In order to solve this issue for myself I would just come to the gym before I head to work .its the only time I could get a really good hardcore and fast work out.with out waiting to use certain machine and weights.It would be nice if they would expand.... As they grow more and more unfortunately the gym would become more tighter and tighter.which to me is not attractive .if another gym opens with bigger space then theres a good chance that might be my new work out spot ...

This is a Kool Little Gym in which I only attend when I am training with my trainer Cuba! Its a very home-like establishment but its not my regular gym Some I am not aware of all the benefits but its good overall!

Poor customer services. I cancelled my membership 2 years ago because i moved. Now I just received a letter from a collection agency saying that I own money to the club. I called several times to club and it seems the manager is always busy. Now they just not answering me or avoiding me and my credit is ruined! I will not recommend this location.

I missed my gym so much!! I went back for the first time ( my job re-located) in a good minute and it felt good (I was there a month ago but only for the sauna). The helpful, easy going staff, the abundance of equipment, the air, the dance room, and now there so much more room in the main weight room because they moved? the spin room (its gone). And, I didnt have my music but they have music pumping (except dance room). My complaint is that there is only one water fountain. And my shower was great! It can get very crowded though. I wish it was closer to my job....

Literally there are only 2 problems Ive had with this place. Seemingly none of the gym members rack their weights. I cant keep up and neither can the staff. For the love of God, people, put your weights back and not just anywhere. Also there is only one squat rack which is bad enough not including the people doing not squats in it. Other than that this gym is great.

Great small gym never crowded and the staff is very friendly. The only thing missing is a pool ar this location. But nice an d clean with all the necessary equipment I use.

Truly awful.. I go because no other gym local to me has childcare. Luisa the sitter is great. 😑 I go because I must! $750.00 were taken out of my account for PT classes I never took. My monthly dues are 40.00.. sure wish I could just go to planet fitness!

If this club cared about their customers I wouldnt be writing this review. Someone wants to reply to my review but cant have the decency to reach out to me to try and fix my issue. Its so unprofessional that i have to keep writing because someone behind this screen doesnt want to help me. I lost my job due to the pandemic and this is the only gym still billing people. No one ever called, texted, emailed not even a single paper letter in the mail stating they were still billing people. Im not asking anything for free but if my account is already in collections from January why am i still getting billed for September OCTOBER . I need to dispute these charges and the manager that he supposedly the owner says he cant do nothing but he was the one filed first? Every other company has offered extensions, waivers, credits, lower premium and when i call to get an extension they cant offer anything? Not only were they closed for a couple months the least they can do is try to accommodate customers who were affected by the pandemic. Like i said these people dont care about you. Im so angry i cant even go to another gym cause i apparently i have to stay at this one . i dont even live in Newark i never authorized the transfer either . Save your time money, coming here is NOT WORTH IT

I wanted to join a gym for a while and couldnt decide which one...I finally decided to take a tour of this gym and was very happy...I work very close to this gym and to be honest, from the look of the outside, it didnt look like much...Boy was I wrong! The staff is very friendly and helpful and Erik did a great job of selling me a membership...So far the only thing I would like is for the sauna to be bigger, which I was told they are working on...Keep up the good work...

I wanted to join this gym after moving to Newark, but I hate that they wanted to charge me $25 processing fees and other fake upfront fees,.. The thing that bothered me was the made up fees of $25 processing fees... What exactly are they processing that requires that much fees?Dont scam people with bogus fees, then tie them in a one year membership.

This gym has EVERYTHING anyone could ever need catering to any fitness goal without it feeling cluttered or overwhelming. As a personal trainer this is a top notch gym imo.

Been a member for over a year and needed to cancel. I dont live close enough to make it work. I was told 4 weeks ago that a manager would call me back for a meeting to process my cancellation. No one called. I then called today and was told I needed to write a letter and bring it in. Nice way to waste a patrons time and energy and create a hurdle for people who need to move on after a year of prompt payments. As a business owner myself, its such a cheap trick. Would not recommend.

Waw 100% I didnt recommend any one for this place too small, expansive I already give them one month notice to cancel even I didnt visit it like four month a go and after 3 month of my cancellation they charging me and give me hard time for my refund.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE! I moved out of new jersey over 2 years ago and continuously called and explained that I need to cancel my membership because of the move, and they would not cancel it. I had to place a stop payment through the bank 3 times and even still they found a way to steal money from my account. Ridiculous. Awful business. Save your money.

Gym is small and the weights are never racked properly, even in the mornings. The staff is friendly though but a disorganized gym isnt good and doesnt go far. Im not a fan of the lighting in this gym. Compared to other gyms, the mood (bc of the lighting) just doesnt brighten up my mood or workout.

The trainers are great Roy and Steve they are always willing to help with any question you have along with any advice they can offer. The overall employees attitudes are friendly and they are easy to talk to that even goes for the two woman who come in and clean. A friendly place is a good place in my book.The only reason I dont give a full 5 stars is because of the gym etiquette of some of the members there. (I know that rude members will always be a problem in gyms) I think there should be a few signs that read please put weights back when finished. There are times they are thrown all over the floor. I dont expect the employees to walk around every five minutes but I think if a few signs were put up and employees stressed the issue of GYM ETIQUETTE it will make a difference.Again overall Im glad to be part of this gym. keep up the good work!
