The Staff is very nice, no problems with any of them. All seem like great dudes and gals. But thats the only nice thing to say about this place. First its in Newark, pretty much could stop there but park on the street, if you can find a space. Long walk to security office and check in offices and very tight dock doors because of the trailers they have lined up against the fence. Make matters worse the Jersey Rent-A-Cops will ticket folks for parking on Joseph Street. If you have any dignity or self respect just pass on loads coming here. Let the locals deal with places like this. One last thing to say about this place, they did allow me to check in early and gave me a door right away so Ill give them that much. As for restroom, just use the street, it will probably get a little cleaner because of it.

I arrived at 1900 for an 0100 appointment. I checked in when I got here.The ladies in the front security desk were fantastic.Dropped in to the office and was told they would call me with a door and asked that I just be patient.The receiving guys were quite friendly as well.The docks are not as tight as everyone says, and I have a longer than average truck.I got called into the dock at 2300 I was unloaded before my 10 hour break was up.However, if you have load locks, take them out of your trailer before docking or else youll never see them again, in spite of being asked if you have load locks in there.The only issue I had was with the exit security. That woman had a major attitude and if she doesnt like her job, she needs to find something else to do.The parking on Joseph, I had no issue parking here. You just cant block a hydrant or drive way.

Hardest part about this receiver is just getting here. The check in was uncomplicated. The guard did exceptional job telling me where to park and how to get to receiving office. Got a dock soon as I took paperwork to receiving, and got my lumper fee. Unloading fast. Whole process from checking to getting bills less than 1 hour.

This place is shoprite where houses. Long time waiting. Check in and out. If you giving lumper fee cash your load very fast unloading and paperwork ready on the time . Other way you must be waiting 2 hours paper work.

I see soo many bad reviews but I guess I was lucky. I got beef and it took only 2 hrs the whole process.You park on the street, go to guard check with DL, bills and truck and trailer plate number, go back to your truck and they will call you with door number. Lumper was 245, no credit card, only check or cash

The place is not a problem, finding a parking spot for a semi is another story. It is a toss up. You might get lucky right away, or you could be driving in circles for 45 minutes before you get to park.Update:With that said, you now often sit for hours on end. So Im updating my reviews to reflect how displeased I am with their disregard of drivers time.

Friday 6 am checked in 5 pm no door yet. Stop bringing produce here. They turn you into a running reefer storage place in the street. If your product isnt important or rush. Youll sit till your animal comes out and you bail or burst. Bad corporation. No respect for drivers. No parking either. Fight with other trucks on the street for a spot. Just simply avoid this disgusting hole.

Despite all the poor reviews, I deliver here often, and have never had a bad experience. Yeah, the check in process is tedious, and you have to walk about a mile and a half back and forth, but once that is complete it’s always been in and out for me. Grant it, the kid with the blue hair who works at the window is a huge douche, but the rest of the staff is usually fast, friendly, and efficient. Also, it’s pretty cool that you can almost park your truck anywhere within something like a five block radius and no one cares cause it’s Newark, lol. Believe me, there are far worse places to deliver to. I actually look forward to coming here. Beats Food Lion and Kroger, that’s for damn sure.

DRIVERS... Make sure you bring BREAKFAST, LUNCH, and DINNER....I spent over 8 hrs at the Elizabeth location. And 7 hrs at the Newark location..... UNBELIEVABLE

My first and the last time coming here. Very badly managed company. There is absolutely no reason for them to take 16 hours to take off 16 pallets

They dont deserve a single star, but I had to mark one to post this review. It took12 hours of sitting. It took them 15 minutes to get the small load off but took them 4 hours to count 490 boxes that was on pallets and for them to give me my paperwork. They didnt hesitate to get $245 to pull 14 pallets off that didnt have to be broken down. This place is a joke and a poor managed.

It is really a place not to go to deliver because it takes an extremely long time to unload and they charge a huge unloading fee for the little service they give. Besides, the warehouse is so dirty.

This place is heaven on earth. With permission, I will be buried on the grounds someday.

I was a here since 12:30 am and they give me dock in 4:30 am now 10:00 am still here they not unloading shipping receiving security they all trash people they don’t even know how to talk with the peoples

We got a bad experience at this place. The driver checked in at midnight and they were so busy to give a door and they backed him to a dock at 5am. Than he was waiting for 12 hours to be unloaded. And people in the office couldnt even give and eta cause they didnt know what is going on in warehouse or didnt want to tell. So, if you send your trucks there you just hope for luck to get it done asap.

The reviews for this place make is sound really bad. But it’s not. It’s a typical North East coke Storage. They have a lot of trucks and a lot of products come in during the night. Yes. You have to park on the street and walk to the gate, have DL, Tags for both trucj and trailer, and PO number.Yes the guard is busy, and will not become buddy buddy with you but he is nice.Lumper do cost a bit. But good thing truck drivers don’t have to pay it! Get the broker to pay it.Yes it may take a minute for them to unload you. And yes you could have product rejected. That’s all apart of this type of truckingBe nice, be patient. And everything will be A-OK.

This is such an awesome place not only did they take me into a door 10 hours early but they were very fast and unloading me and only charge $100. That is less than $10 per pallet which is an awesome deal thank you Wakefern you rock

You might need to pack you a lunch because they are very unorganized and if you need to park you have to park outside the facility along the street and then also too you have to watch where you park because the signs that I posted they do try to enforce the signs the police do

Hit or miss. Sometimes Im in and out quickly with no problems, sometimes Im in a door for three hours before they even start. Today was the latter situation, and to top it off....no TP or paper towels in the bathroom, or available anywhere. Lovely. Now my next two drops are late and my 14 is sploded.And how are you supposed to wipe your butt with a hot air hand dryer, anyways?

Absolutely the worst place, bad area. And for some mysterious reason they said my phone didnt answer when they called.... And I was getting calls from others all morning. Shady characters roaming the streets near customer where you have to park to wait for a door. Never again

I had an excellent experience here. I checked in with the guard at 1 AM for an 8 AM delivery appointment. They sent me to the receiving office, you give them your phone number, and you park on the street and go to sleep. They called me at a little before 5 AM to give me a door. I had my bills by 9 AM. Only one hour past my appointment time is excellent service.

Checked In 13:00 got door at 19:00 it’s 12:00 now still at door just 10 skids waiting for bills. Disgusting place please don’t come here if you can. They don’t have value of driving time.

I had 2 drops, both at Wakefern Food Co. First one was in Elizabeth and second in Newark. At first drop I arrived at 10:30 pm on Tuesday night to be unloaded at 11:30 the following day. Then I didnt make to it now has been almost 24 hours and Im still sitting to drop off 6 pallets. The employees are careless and rude. Not enough parking available at both places so one has to park a quarter mile away and walk. Will never take a load delivering to this garbage pos again. In case yiu wondering how to do so if you are a company driver and having this same issue? Just say no.

Worst place to visit for us hard working truckers, staff is rude and careless. Placed order by SRFH.. MAJORITY IF ORDER WAS NOT AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE ..OUT OF STOCK . I called and canceled . Employee Still felt the need to push the order through and charge my card . On the Jan 23 2021 . That same employee said my order still there 24, at 6:30 pm, or come 25th . What part of cancel didn’t he get . . As of today Jan 3,2021 .I have to keep calling for a refund Even Corporate didn’t follow through . I had to call them again on the 3rd of February . Finally the refund issued . But haven’t received it yet in my bank . ... WHAT AN EXPERIENCE..

I hate this place,they cant give you any type of directions to a yard where they want you to park and wait,there is no parking anywhere near the place and the roads are very narrow. If I can help it at all I WILL NOT BE BACK HERE!!!!!!!!!

For a Distribution center is was one of the best to go into nice large docking area; friendly people from the guards to the lumper staff the lumper fees are rather high compared to other places but theyre fast my appointment time was for 1:00 am they had me unloaded at 1:59am Ive marked this place as one of my favorite deluvery places

Truck checked in 10pm last night and hasn’t left yet 2:30pm the following day, we expect to be here until 6pm hopefully if not full 24hrs. Will never come to deliver here again, I will cancel any load if it has this name on the rate confirmation. The lack of compassion for people’s time is disgusting. The worst experience I’ve had, especially when they don’t set appointments. Publix, mclane and Walmart ain’t go nothing on this crew they are at another level of messed up.

Very nice and friendly people. And they were very helpful. Neat and clean place. Also security was very nice and they have a lot of patience because some drivers were being ignorant to them but they were very professional. And they were quick to get you in and out I give them five stars.

Jesus, all truck drivers like to do is complain. This place is pretty much like every other place we deliver too. Park on street. Walk into guard shack. Check in with receiving and they call and give you a door. They are a bit slow, but everyone here is super nice and they have overnight parking on the street. Not hard to find or get to and backing was pretty easy. There is a food truck also with decent food.

Review of delivery in Elizabeth NJ location was just terrible. Been here since 11:30 this morning which was over 8 hours ago. Nasty attitude from the guy in receiving. One thing and maybe the only upside to this place is a food truck is always out here to keep you from starving because he probably knows many drivers are always waiting here. Probably a restroom inside but not sure. I think this is a 24 hour receiver. Horrible time management. Not coming back here. Newark location was my first stop and they were totally opposite. I give them 5 stars and they should show Elizabeth location how to operate efficiently. Thumbs up for Newark and lord help Elizabeth.

Before you check in park on side street only. 2 gates one entrance one exit only. Entrance guard will send you to exit guard to check in.Before booking a load to here ask the broker the address. If its this then skip it to save you time and hassle.Unloading time minimum 6 hours

Very unprofessional they take their sweet time but call for you to pay lumper fee people in the front office are on their phone like if they in their house.

Be warned if youre an over-the-road driver making a delivery here. Got to sit on the side of the road outside of it for 7 hours before getting a dock the first time. This was the final stop on this run and yet they left for pallets in the trailer. Had to wait another 6 hours before they decided they would take what was still in the trailer, although still left 5 cases behind..... Beware this place sucks.

Semi organized chaos. Sometimes theyre quick, sometimes not. Park on the street, have your truck and trailer numbers as well as license plate numbers for both when you walk to front guard shack. Make sure youre not blocking other businesses while parked.

They are the worst receiver in US and i have never seen receiver like them. i will not take Wakefern delivery in Future as i spent 13 hours and not sure if they unload today. Wish i have negative star Rating for this receiver.

Had only good things to say about this place. Its first come first serve; not too busy most of day; plenty of parking. If you find Joseph street too cramp for your taste, head west-bound down Lister avenue, pass over the tracks, and turn right at the second or third turn you see on your right/passenger side; theres a small white guard but in between these turns.

I parked and walked in the rainto the guardhouse, the guard wanted me to move to a different parking spot so I did and walked in the rain 6 blocks back to the guardhouse where she told me I needed the plate number for tractor and trailer. Ive given this for a pick up but not a delivery and it sure would have been nice if she told me this in the first place. This place is pitiful and has dangerous parking and takes hours for a delivery. I wouldnt come back here

Fast unload and very friendly staff. I was in the warehouse talking to the employees and this is a great place. Easy to back in as well.

Well they let park on the road. My appointment was at 0400 got a call to go to my door at 1230 A.m. its 0630 and I am still at my door with a green light. Works are super nice. They are under a union so they take lots of breaks..

Fairly quick to get you in. Other drivers can be very inconsiderate and in a hurry. Have patience and you will eventually get to your assigned door.
