Work is fine - I have used them quite a few times over the years. Somewhere between 5 - 7 jobs over a decade or so. The latest job/project I had them quote came in at $150.00, which I then said yes to. They quoted me a two-week turnaround, which was fine as I wasnt in a rush at all. I just picked up the parts. At checkout I was rung out for $478.00 and change. When I asked where my original $150.00 quote went they told me They took longer than expected due to welding. No one called me to let me know this, and no one told me they had more than tripled my estimate when they called me to let me know the parts were finished. That sort of practice is unacceptable to me, so Ill go elsewhere next time.

I needed 18ga sheet metal and they had it. Cut it for me and helped me load it. Very friendly people on the phone and in person.

However, I have done business with Ashcraft Machine for more than 30 years and the demand for customer satisfaction handed down by the founder, Glen Ashcraft, has been carried forward throughout the years. Rest assured, nearly every major industrial plant in the Newark / Heath area relies on Ashcraft Machine for repairs and machinery fabrication to help keep their operations running smoothly and so can you.

Ashcraft has been a great find for me. They have always been pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. The work I have asked them to do has always been much smaller than their normal jobs, but they have always treated me as a top priority. Truly a great company.

One of the worst experiences I have had with a company. I brought in a brand new $8000 machine and asked them for a simple weight to be put on. I go to pick the product up and my new machine is scratched and has over spray paint on it where they painted the metal they attached to the machine. They were dumb founded when I pointed it out and had to tell them how to fix it. The owner has no customer service and did not show any care that the new machine was scratched. After I got them to fix the damages and to go back to pick it up they decided not to event attach the metal I paid for and had to attach it myself. I am surprised a company such as Ashcraft is even in business.

Ive had them do some custom fab work for myself and a few friends they were spot on great work couldnt ask for more pleasant people in a machiene shop.
