If you get a regular cone, consider also getting a spoon and maybe even a cup. The scoops here are generous and picture perfect, but you wouldnt want to wear them. Chocolate PB swirl and shark bait are a good place to start.

I love ice cream. Really and truly. My favorite part of the northeast is how readily available it is. Harbor Creamery is far from the best. But they have interesting flavor choices (quite enjoyed the sea salt) and the ice cream has a good texture, not icy or hard, and not too sweet. Prices are a bit high, but fair based on quantity. I do wish they offered smaller option for less. The small is quite substantial, but not generous (its a lot of ice cream, but you are paying proportionally, if that makes sense).

We stopped by Harbor Creamery during a road trip and had the best ice cream and shakes - including a non-dairy ice cream. I left my credit card there and they mailed it back to me within a few days. Thank you to the wonderful, friendly and helpful staffers. You sweetened our day!

Awesome place with options for everyone. They have a great selection of regular flavors and toppings and also offer some non-dairy sorbets. Its in a nice spot too, right in downtown and just a quick walk to the waterfront park. We will be back next time we visit Newburyport. Harbor Creamery is a great hard ice cream shop in town, their prices are normal not high not low, and their ice cream is great. They have many flavors of ice cream and they also sell other things too, chocolates, pints of ice cream, and many more. Overall this is a great ice cream place to stop by on a hot (who cares it can be cold too) day. Plus the staff is very nice and I definitely recommend this place.

Great ice cream, and candy store

I have had their ice cream before it’s really great. However last week I was looking to get a frappe and the clerk working had already shut the machine down prior to closing the shop. This was unfortunate and disappointing. I wasn’t there for anything else. She exclaimed that she could turn it on but it’s a process, obviously feeling guilty if she had to redo this process,I didn’t stay and didn’t get that frappe. I would suggest they not turn off their machines until they are closed. That’s why the 3 stars and not more.

The ice cream is delicious. Like all local ice cream joint it is a bit pricey but I really think you get more than what you paid for and seems worth it for the homemade deliciousness. I love the black raspberry!

This place is awesome! The flavor variety is unbelievable and all homemade. Pumpkin, Key Lime and Apple Pie are my favorites. Make a point of visiting if you havent already. Merri-Lee, the owner, is super nice.

I had Caramel Crunch and Key Lime flavors. While both were very good, the lime was excellent. A little pricey, though that’s expected in a tourist town. Staff was friendly.

Place stinks. Ice cream is ok. Bad portions. Sundaes had maybe one tbsp of hot fudge. In a tiny cup. Expensive. One girl in there was very pleasant and the other was seemingly having a bad day because she was in a bad mood. Not very friendly. Some guy in there working on the machines also wasnt very friendly but I dont even know his place in there, seemed like he was making ice cream Place is disorganized. Better ice cream around. Will not go back

On the weekend evening I visited, nowhere to park, nowhere to sit, a long line, and my wife and I both felt that our ice cream wasnt very good compared to other places weve been. None of this was really bad, just... Not great.
