One star is being generous...Read the reviews if youre consigning there is NOT a positive review.Brought in several pieces of VERY expensive commissioned art that Carrie the owner was all over. It would be gone immediately its so amazing we never get this quality. When you go back in to enquire about said art now she has much better art and yours isnt selling because she JUST got pieces in that are sellingWe call in / email etc to ask where our check is...Dara blames Carrie and Carrie blames Dara and no one can access the computer right now.The name of the game is BLAME. AT the end of the day it seems they are robbing Peter to pay Paul. They have beautiful pieces that sell, but the owners of those pieces DONT seem to get paid according to the google reviews...In our case (as some of our art is no longer in the store) and we havent received payment that could be construed as theft and Carrie knows that otherwise she wouldnt be shooing you out of the store when you are inquiring about the status of your consigned pieces. Surprisingly Dara is on vacation ALOT and when you do get Dara she appears to be frustrated with the situation.

The public should be aware that there are some apparent problems with their accounting. They lost several of the items that I placed with them and claim that they were probably donated, though they could not be sure since they were unable to track either sale or donation. I kept accurate records for the items and frequented the store to monitor sale. It took several months and several phone calls to receive compensation of those items that I knew had sold, yet some are still missing. They offered me a very small store credit for the items and a donation receipt but no record or value for the donation. They have some fun items at good prices, but I wont consign here again.
DO NOT CONSIGN WITH THIS STORE!!! They will gladly take your items and then fall off the face of the earth. I gave this store THOUSANDS of dollars worth of brand new furniture and accessories. All inventoried and documented. After about 30 days, I started to inquire about the status of my consignment. No responses. I finally received 1 small check ($500) after another 45 days and then absolutely no responses to emails and phone calls. I finally went back down to the store to retrieve my goods only to find out that most had been sold with no accounting on their side. I pulled the last of my things and proceed to take them to Court. I won a judgement but now am having trouble collecting on this. In looking into the business it appears that they change names and contacts constantly in order to swindle people out of the items. Read ALL of the negative reviews, you will see it is the same SCAM over and over; Gladly take someones consignment, stop responding to inquiries so they can drag out the timeline and then say its been 90 days and the goods have been donated per their contract. They have even been sued by the State of California for non payment of sales tax. STAY AWAY!!

THEY WILL NOT MAIL ANYTHING TO YOU OR HAVE ANY SORT OF INVENTORY THAT YOU CONSIGNED WITH THEM ITS ALL ON YOU! TERRIBLE ! TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! BEWARE! THESE PEOPLE ARE THIEVES! They have promised to send me payment for my sold goods for 6 months and nothing ever shows up. Ive asked for a full accounting of my inventory, and they never reply. Have sent dozens of emails and made phone calls with no reply. Finally had to threaten legal action and their accountant finally replied to my email and said they would mail me a check. That was 3 weeks ago and nothing.I WILL BE TAKING THEM TO COURT.VERY SHADY OPERATION!2/10/18 UPDATEAt the end of Dec 2017, After I threatened them with a lawsuit and confronted them in person they promised to have a full accounting and to return all my items that havent sold and pay me for what has sold.Here we are in Feb 2018 and after several emails and Certified letters they still have not paid me or sent me an accounting so I could pick up my items.I have initiated legal action.
Weve dealt (both as Consigners and buyers) with Lido Consignment for years. We have never experienced anything but total professionalism. Weve had the great pleasure of knowing and dealing with Marietta (a superb and elegant sales professional - having once owned her own exquisite stores for decades) for over 25 years - and Otto (the manager) for well over five wonderful years. In each instance, weve been dealt with honestly and fairly. As for remarks to the pace of payment - I can speak to the fact that when consigning a piece(s) you are informed that depending on the time of any particular month, it could be as long as six weeks to receive payment. That his held true for our numerous sales of our items. Besides, the usual, outstanding quality of the merchandise makes up for any two or three week delay in receiving a check. At least we think so.

Worst ever, can I rate 0/5?? I placed a $10,000 refrigerated mahogany wine cabinet on consignment and never heard back. Several months later I called and was instructed I needed to send an email inquiry, which I dutifully did. What!!? No response after a year, so I called today. The man I spoke w was rude and only wanted me to find the email and would not look up my account using my standard demographics. He told me to call tomorrow and actually hung up on me. My next call will be Better Business Bureau, and then Small Claims Court. Take my advice and go elsewhere.
Would be so much better if as soon as i parked i was not verbally chastised for parking near the store but not patronizing itSeriously ridiculous they have someone who rolls over on a dilapidated bike to police a empty parking lot. Ill never come back here again.Why couldnt he just be another vagrant asking for money, oh wait he is.
This place is constantly updating what they have in stock and have amazing prices for high quality items. Highly recommended for any thrifters out there - I bought a solid mohogany queen sleigh bed frame for $240 - new priced at $2400! The staff are super kind, I like to blow off steam by window shopping and they have always been good about answering questions and have even given me free things before (like a hide-a-key portico). Clearly family-owned and operated, which I love! Good to know there are still some places out there that care about family values.
