They have everything you can think of for boats and its pretty much the only place you can find for all kinds of boating . If you have a boat Id check them out for sure . Stuff was friendly and very clean store .

High prices and they are only selling their own brand of everything now. Better to buy online elsewhere unless your forced to buy from them.

Katelyn, manager at the register, I had to threaten going over her head for them to take back a faulty water pump. She finally offered an exchange of product which she could have done right up front. Hey West Marine! Do you really want our business or do we simply protest and stick to Amazon????

You would think that if they know something is miss marked, they would not put it back on the shelf for another customer, which was me, to get mislead on the price. After finding out the item is miss marked and finding out that I am not the only customer to which this has happened to, I ask them to honor the marked pice. The employee refused and actually asked me if I really wanted to go down this route. Well, since he said it that way, yes I do! There is a California law that addresses this type of bait and switch. Waiting for a call from the store manager.I am a very long time customer at multiple West Marine stores on both coasts. I have never been talked to by an employee in this manner. It felt as though I was being treated like I am the one who is in the wrong. This is at the Newport Beach location.

Updated store is great. Easy to shop.

This place is a complete mess, managers are incabable of performing easy task, items are everywhere and in the wrong spots, most but not all employees have 0 knowledge on the items they are selling and I would not recommend this place to anyone! Dana point or long beach would be you best bet but even then, Amazon has better prices.

They have been remodeling for several months. Low to no inventory. San Diego store is 100 times better.

Best West Marine experience EVER. Stand was extremely knowledgeable about all my navigational electronics needs. I wish all their stores were staffed with people as sharp and friendly as this store.

He was very knowledgeable and helped me find what I needed and even showed me things I didnt even realize i needed! It was a great experience and I will definitely shop here again! Called in to order some stuff, they put it aside for me. Drove from Baldwin Hills to Newport Beach. Got there, and let me tell you, I have never been treated so well! Maybe I looked like I had no idea what I was doing (I didnt), but I was helped by at least 4 ppl making sure I was okay and helping me find more efficient things I needed and giving me advice on usage and day to day use. They knew my name too when I went to pick up my items, (perhaps I was the only one to call in an order), but it made ya girl feel special af.Please, keep it up. Someone even offered to help me while I was in line and gave me more advice and even better tips on how to use all the stuff I bought. Hundreds & HUNDREDS of dollars later, Im literally a happy camper.

A boat is a hole in the water where people shovell their money, and West Marine is happy to help with that. This branch carries a very good selection, and if you need a general use part or other supply, they will surely have it. The quality will also be very high, so it will perform well. Youll just have to pay. A lot. Like up to double of what it costs on line. Having the right part available can be priceless, though, and West Marine knows that.

I went into the store on 5/24/19 specifically to purchase all new electronics for my boat. (Radar, Plotter, fish finder, auto-pilot etc) I literally waited 45 minutes for someone to assist me who never did. I ended up going online and buying everything later that day. Got all my info from an online forum. Spent about $11,000 all said and done. This isnt the first time Ive tried to spend money in store and couldnt.

Today i needed to purchase VHF radio with mast head antenna for our Olson 30 sailboat. N2E race requires a mast head antenna. I arrived at 8am and got personal attention from very skilled guy-Richard. Pricing seems very competitive in general. It was a nice experience.Harold

It is a West Marine store, lots of stuff for that hole in the water referred to as a boat. They offer clothing, ship lines, boat parts, paints, waxes etc. Suggest that you go early on the summer weekends, the parking in that part of Newport Beach is pretty hectic. The parking lot is patrolled to ensure that the parking is used for the stores in the lot, they like to tow scofflaws.

Best place around the area for Marine parts. Lots of parking spaces

West Marine is awesome and the greatest place ever they are just very expensive. They have everything you need from boat parts to fishing lures . Boat chairs to live bait tanks. Electrical to motors. Troll motors to paddle boats paddle boards to kayaks and electronics to clothing. You need gear get it here!

Went in to get some things for my boat always have a positive experience here only thing I dont like about this place is parking the restaurant next door has valet drivers and crowded parking lot. Other than that great place good customer service

Almost anything you can think of in Boating and even RV accessories that cross over from a marine use is here, most of what I saw was from quality oriented manufacturers,but all this space and especially the location does come at a cost not ridiculous high but enough that if you can wait few days might be better ordered online .I purchased a Solar Power Controller that wasnt so I high I didnt buy it, but if I hadnt needed it now and waited a few days could have saved 65% buy purchasing it online

This is one of the largest West Marine stores and caters both to family and watersports, as well as hard core boating. This one and 1200 Rosecrans San Diego are my two favorite West Marine stores. You can find anything there.

We were looking for fish bait and they have it! They also have a lot of water sports gear. The staff were also very nice and helpful. Its a little pricey compared to REI.

Fantastic marine supplies store

Went in to exchange a pair of flip flops that I received for a birthday present. They were packaged wrong with the size on the package not matching the shoe size. After waiting at the check out stand while the kid tried to figure out a customer discount that left the customer irate I was sent to customer service. I older blond lady told me that without the receipt she could not help me. I showed her the that size didn’t match the package. She said anyone could have changed it. I left disgusted I spend a ton of money in the store because I like the convenience of being close to the boat. I’m done, to loose customers over $20 is an indication of where that store is headed

They frequently have a waiting period for common marine items but the staff is usually very helpful.

Great staff, great selection...however atrociously overpriced!!! A $3 fitting at home depot costs $29.95 here! Everything is crazy expensive...but if you have a boat, youll have to come here sooner or later...they have everything!
