This place was terrible. The lift worked going up, but they couldnt get it down. Took forever and they put their oily hands all over the paint trying to push on my car to get their lift to let the car down. Had to go back in to get my wheel lock key because they didnt give it back. My car was leaving oil spots on the driveway for a couple weeks, so I went back up there and they found the drain plug was never tightened. I wouldnt go back or recommend that Newport News location to anyone. I do recommend the car wash I went to afterwards to get the oil off my paint, and Ill have to try to update when I use this chemical to try to remove the oil spots from my driveway.

The only thing stopping this place from getting 5 stars is the fact that its a bit expensive. After discounts it isnt the worst, and definitely worth it if youre trying to save time. The workers are great too

I have used Jiffy Lube oil changes over 50 times all around Hampton Roads. This was my first visit to this location,,,,,,also my last. My oil change also took over an hour with the workers talking and smoking most of the time. Here are my details: 1) They put the wrong oil in my car. They didnt verify with me what oil I used beforehand. They said they just used the same oil as last time---never been here in my life. They tried to charge me $95 for a synthetic oil change but I use 5-20; my car has over 280,000 miles and does not burn a drop of oil. 2) They did a poor job cleaning all my windows---it looked like they used a dirty rag as everything was streaked and smudged. 3) They did not vacuum at all, even though the receipt said that job was completed. 4) The window sticker had the wrong mileage on it -- when I told the employee, he could not have cared less. Overall, a 100% unprofessional job.

Went today to change my oil. I was well overdue for it! The guys were really friendly and the lady in the office too! Lol the gentleman named Cade serviced my car and recommended something for my car and told me how to get the best deal…which is always helpful. I felt he was really trying to help. I also ordered tires from there for next week. This jiffy lube is close to my house and the service there is friendly. Thanks guys! 😉

Over an hour for an oil change? C’mon that’s ridiculous. Especially when all the staff sat outside talking and smoking, what is taking this long? I’ve never had a oil change that took longer than 20 minutes.Update: so what happened is they didn’t even have the oil filter for my car! Instead of telling me this beforehand so I could go elsewhere for an oil change they let me sit here for over an hour clueless! They had to go to Oreilleys to get the part!

Went for a grinding sound in my brakes. This was in July. Its now September and still have the same grinding problem. After 5 visits(caliper replacement,both front rotors replaced which was done on 2 different visits and pads and shoes replacement) still the same problem I originally came to them for. Seems like they have a lack of knowledge or they are swindling me out of money. Very unprofessional

Stop by this location this morning. Had a problem from visiting a previous jiffy lube in the area. The staff here corrected my problem and a timely manner and didnt charge me anything. Job well done thank you

Went in to have my brakes checked out & found out I needed a full package of new rotors and brakes for my entire car. Front & rear brakes were installed over a two-day period, and on the second day, after the rear brakes were installed, a terrible clunking noise sounded from the rear brakes & my steering wheel shaked when I braked. I turned the car around & went back less than ten minutes after I left. They re-examined my car and found something was left unscrewed. After fixing it I left, and the issue came back. I was back at 8:00am the next morning to try and have them fix it again. To no avail, the issue was persistent & the tech who installed both sets & re-examined my car twice insisted that he did everything right, and that I should take it elsewhere to fix it- what?? I took my car to Toyota & they found that something with the aftermarket rear drum brakes were not installed properly. Toyota fixed the issue quickly and correctly, for an additional $100 charge. I completed the post-visit survey from Jiffy Lube & explained the situation specifically of my poor service experience & someone from JL corporate reached out to reimburse the Toyota bill. After spending close to $800 for my brakes at JL, I would have assumed that follow up service/ visits weren’t necessary, let alone a diagnosis & service elsewhere. While the reimbursement was a nice consolation after the terrible experience, it does not repair the distrust I now have with Jiffy Lube & the lack of confidence that their brakes will last and run smoothly. Jiffy Lube is great for oil changes- that’s it.

I have been a long time customer at Jiffy Lube in other states I’ve lived in. I went to this location about a month ago, and had the pleasure of having Tony as my serviceman. He was extraordinary. He asked me if I knew that the oil I had been getting to date was actually the wrong oil for my car. I thought, at first, that he was just trying to get me to spend more on “better quality” oil, but he sat down with me and showed me the proof of how and why my oil was not the right oil. No other Jiffy Lube employee had ever taken that kind of time with me before. I was not aware that because my car has Turbo, the full synthetic versus synthetic blend was truly the better choice. He wasn’t just trying to get me for the money, because he helped me navigate through for a better coupon than the one I had to actually save me money, even with a slightly more expensive oil. Tony is great! Go see him there, and tell him Jen sent ya! Oh, and if you have a Sonata 2.0T make sure to get full synthetic instead of synthetic blend. But if you forget, Tony will definitely have your back.

Everyone was very professional and I was in and out in less than 30 mins. They were knowledgeable about my vehicle and what it needed done. I will definitely be back!

So I came to this location not ONCE but THREE times in one week TRYING to get an oil change. First time they were out of filters second time, they were painting but not closed ? But couldn’t do oil changes .. third time.. credit card machines were down. Do they even do oil changes ??!!! I’d advise to not go here, sounds like they are not together

Came in on 03/10/2021 to receive an oil change. Not only did we wait over 2 hours while the worker Tony S smoked a cigarette. He was very rude and extremely unprofessional! Not only did he rant and rave about previous bad reviews received at this location but he also gave us the same DISRESPECT! Then charged us for a service that WAS NOT REQUESTED!!! Im extremely dissatisfied with his service and unprofessionalism!

Extremely dissatisfied with the service I received at this location today. When I drove my car off after an oil change, which took a couple hours because they were so busy, I quickly noticed the low oil pressure light was on. I pulled over and checked the dipstick to find a COMPLETELY EMPTY oil reservoir! I called the location and they told me to return. They then brought my car back in after I waited again for half an hour and proceeded to lie to me and insist the car was only 1.5 quarts low(not true it was empty) and that they had mistaken my Honda civic which requires 4 quarts of oil for the model which takes 2.5 quarts. No such model exists! I showed him information my sent me from the NAPA database which my automexhanic shared with me proving my point and he didnt really say anything. I watched them put 3 quarts of oil in, then prong me putt the code reading for the check engine light which came on during my return to Jiffy Lube. The problem of a stuck Rotator arm is caused by a completely empty oil reservoir with zero oil pressure. They continued to insist that they had put two and a half quarts in earlier, then they took my car on a test drive around the neighborhood without my knowledge or consent to ensure that the check engine light had cleared properly. They then brought my car back in saying it was driving wobbly because the tires were cupped and they wanted to undo the tire rotation they had done as part of the initial service. They also mentioned a nail in the tire that was not leaking air. I checked my oil myself when they told me I was ready to go again. It was still a quart low. Meaning they only put in the three quarts they put in the second time, and had initially sent me out with no oil in my car. I ended up buying the last cord myself at a gas station out of sheer frustration. Three and a half hours later I actually have oil in my car, and if still paid full price. I will not be returning to this or any other Jiffy Lube and would recommend that car owners who care about their vehicles take them elsewhere for oil change service, or at the very least check their own dip sticks before driving out of the parking lot.

Overpriced first time I went there had to go back they put the drain plug in crooked and created an oil leak and they said it was bent so they finally said they give us a new one free of charge when are the ones that caused the leak will not be going back to that one

I rated my experience a single star, only because you are not allowed to give zero. I had a Jiffy Lube 15% off purchase coupon (with the address of this particular Jiffy Lube on it), but the attendant simply remarked, Oh yeah, we dont do those. I asked if I had the correct address that was on the coupon, which was affirmed, but I was told that the coupon would still not be honored. When I stated that, as a result, I no longer desired the oil change, I was treated rudely and in a condescending manner. By far, this was the worst customer service experience I have ever had.

Cant give it a zero or I would...they spilled oil all over my engine (2017 Toyota Corolla) that I keep very clean. Full synthetic oil used so the oil change was $100, horrible job and unexceptional for that price...the manager came to my hotel and brought me a $4 bottle simple green so I could clean it myself, pitiful...contacted main office in Houston, Tx and they did nothing...no refund, nothing...this place is why our service industry is shot...

Really friendly and knowledgeable mechanics here who will go out of their way to make their customers happy. I got there 5 minutes before closing and they had no problem doing my oil change. My car interior got a bit greasy in the process, but nothing a little cleanup couldnt fix.

I wish i can give Zero stars! Worst experience ever! I got there and I felt ripped off. I have been changing my oil for 10 years and I always bring my own oil and I get charged maximum $20 that is with a filter. I got there thinking this rule applies everywhere I was charged $56 for just service fee. and I brought my own oil this doesnt make sense. They had a category for parts and next to it said $34.00 and my filter was $10 and labor was $19.99 so I should have been charged a max of $30. The workers were rude, I asked to get my windows clean and they didnt because they are lazy! I asked to see my filter before and after and they didnt respect my wishes till I made them do it. I was given a nasty attitude from beginning till end of my experience. I basically was kicked out of the store. I felt so unwelcomed and uncomfortable. especially after I was ripped off! OIL CHANGE FOR $56 with bringing my own oil! what in the world? I will like a refund of $26 i am also currently reporting the incidence to jiffy lube cooperate.

Fast service and attentive, polite staff. They review every service that might be needed, which is good for those that arent mechanically inclined. Each service has different levels, which allow for different pricing. Not everything is expensive, as one might think. And you do not have to purchase any additional services. I didnt feel pressured to spend additional money. I had an oil change and only spent about 10 minutes waiting, maybe 15. They check fluid levels, filters, and even vacuumed the floor mats, that was a pleasant surprise. The waiting room has comfortable chairs, coffee, tv, and a restroom. The parking lot was confusing, but this was my first time visiting. You drive to the back of the building, pull up to an open bay, they meet you at your vehicle, scan in your vehicles info, then walk you inside to discuss services. They pull your vehicle out the front of the bay, where they walk you to it when its done. Even opened my door for me. Will certainly return when needed.

Rude receptionist. I didnt have my reading glasses with me and she refused to read my Groupon number. I had to ask for assistance from another customer in the waiting area.

I love coming to this location, theyve always taken good care of us whether its our 2017 Honda or 1998 expedition. Hoping we find a shop this great when we move back to Florida!

The same day I pull off the lot I get my oil and check engine light on. I take it to a shop and they say that it can’t be proven but that they have been getting work due to inattention to detail because of this Jiffy Lube. I just pray it’s not the $1000 dollar job that I fear it may be.

Horrible! $84 for a basic oil change and the compressor was down so my tires and fluids could not be addressed. This was with my Uber discount! Upon leaving my traction indicator light came on lord only knows what they did to my 2016 Chevy Trax.

My husband usually changes our oil himself, but we needed it done badly and he didn’t have the time! We stopped in today, and all of the staff was super friendly and we were in and out within 20 mins! It’s definitely a little more then we usually spend, but we’ll worth it!!

Deceitful practices..112 dollars to change the oil for a 2009 HHR? Plus they tried to scam me out of other things when I had a traction light come on. I found where they had unplugged the sensor. Had another mechanic look into it and they stated that the techs at this particular place will do that. I will never visit another Jiffy Lube again.

This jiffy lube is the only one Ill come to for my car. They have always been professional and make sure I know what Im getting what I paid for. Love them!

Upon arrival all employees were extremely unprofessional & rude. They all looked at us as if we didn’t belong. One guy was walking around in a tank top & sweats while being told by another to put his uniform on. This guy in particular was acting extremely sketchy around our car. These two individuals we were in contact with treated us as if we were stupid & just laughed at us for needing service done. Highly dissatisfied, would not recommend this location to anyone.

I went to jiffy line just for an oil change and thats what I got in about 20-25 mins. They were very polite and informative. They explained some services for me but were not pushy at all. I would recommend this place for anybody that likes good customer service.

Theres a reason theres so many 1 star reviews here...Starts off when I drove up. Ask the worker how hes doing, he responds Im here. Guy tells me I have a nice truck.They take my vehicle in to change the oil. While Im inside I talk to the lady about the groupon. She tells me Ill still have to pay taxes and shop fees which Ive never heard before. After they change my oil, they go to pull it out the shop. I hear it start up and it gets revved a few times which is odd. They pull truck out and never tell me theyre done, just tell me theyll come to let me know. I walk outside and stand next to my vehicle as they pull another in the bay. Finally the notices me, I point to truck and give thumbs up asking if theyre done. He nods. I go home and on the way I noticed they didnt fill my tires with air (one stayed lower than the rest). Once I got home I looked at my vehicle and noticed all the oily fingerprints all over front grill where you open the hood. The windows were WAY dirtier than before I brought it in. Back driver side of the bed of my truck had oil spot where it looks like it dripped and ran down as well as the bed and tailgate has oil shoe prints all over the back.Simple service, more costly than I thought, and absolutely terrible service. I can honestly say never will I go to another jiffy lube....ever!

I went to this location to get an oil change and the individuals William and David broke the filter cover and did not inform me of it. I had to find out from a Napa representative that it was broken. I should not have had to find out that way. Mistakes are understanding, but not telling me is very misleading.

I had my oil changed there on May 19th for my 2010 jaguar xf. After I left, my navigation dash would spontaneously shut off. I returned on May 20th and was told the was nothing that they did that would affect it. Ok, cool enough. Today (May 23rd) my check engine light comes on. I called from work and explained what happened and was informed to bring the vehicle in. I left work early to return there today and after waiting for an hour and a half, the car still wasnt diagnosed! Apparently another manager left with the machine to diagnose it. So, to recap, Ive been there 3 times since Saturday and even left work early to make it there on time. That manager will be back with the machine tomorrow. I only rated a one star because thats the lowest option I had. This service is terrible! Produce from the grocery stores last longer than the service guarantee from here! Ill return tomorrow to get my car fixed. If its not rectified, Ill see the management in small claims court to pay for my services from a reputable option! Im beyond disgusted...

Been here over an hour today (two cars ahead of me). Sat here for at least 20 minutes while car was outside done. Will be going back to the one on mercury.

I bought a groupon for my teenage son to get a oil change and a tire rotation. I guess they were in a hurry and wanted to get the next car in and saw a teenager. They told my son the tires were fine and didnt need rotated. Really!! Why would you recommend not to rotate tires, thats pure lazy. What other jobs do you shortcut without the customers knowing.

Good and honest service very trust worthy

I had my oil changed this morning and then left for my OBX vacation. At the toll booth my car sounded terrible. Made it to the Napa right across the state line to find I had no oil. The tech here confirmed that Jiffy Lube did not put the o-ring on the filter causing all of the oil to leak out. Im just hoping no permanent damage is done!

75 minutes and over $70 for an oil change. Staff tried to upsell me on additional stuff then got uppity when I turned it down. TV volume in the waiting area was blasting. Not a good experience, would suggest elsewhere.

Love the fact that you can get toppee of in between oil changes. However, its pointless when they break something and your car is leaking oil and no one wants to take responsibility for it even though it hasnt been a full week and your oil light is on.

First visit, with 1.5 hours before the closed they said they wouldnt have time to mount and balance my tires. Second visit, they took an over an hour to pull it in the bay, then inform me their machine is acting up.

I wish I could give 0 stars... They tried to charge me 215 dollars for an oil change. I KNOW it cost at the most 50 dollars for the oil in my car, retail. So the math adds up to 165 dollars in fees and labor for a 15 minute job. This place is a SCAM.

Disappointing. The mechanic told me my car had no oil, then changed to it was at least down 2 quarts. Previously they use to vacuum the car, too. Plus, they said they would give me a $10 coupon and I didnt get that either. Not impressed!

Used to go to these guys all the time until they neglected to reattach my skid plate. Then expected me to drive back to the store, with said skid plate dragging, so they could reattach it. Because that makes sense. Let me drive my vehicle back around more so I can cause further damage...

Terrible. I had a light out that I already knew about and they said my car passed all inspection. So really they didnt even check.

I told them before they started that the air filter was only four days old and the only reason I came in was that I didnt feel like lying on the wet, cold ground to change the oil. They approached me in the lobby and told me I needed a new air filter. My advice is to go elsewhere if you can.
