Hey everybody if you think or wanna try to do an audio setup all bye yourself you should stop thinking. I thought I had it right but after blowing a couple of subs you would then realize it’s time to give up. So after buying a new setup I went to audio 1 and made an appointment. The price was very reasonable as well. I will most definitely be back with the 17 civic ext to let them do the hole setup.

Positive words from me about a very good experience! I was discouraged with a couple of other places I tried so this was my last chance. I spoke with an older gentleman that obviously has been doing his job for a while, super knowledgeable and very helpful. Competitive prices also.

One of the worst experiences ever in doing business with this store. My girlfriend purchased a harness for a radio she received and they assured her it was the right one. Needless to say her installer said it was the wrong harness. We went back to the store for a refund and they refused. These people obviously dont know what they are doing. Its as if they hired these people off the streets or out of prison. Dont be fooled by those positive reviews here. They are cookie cutter fake. The facility in Newport News had the most rude and downright nastiest front office staff imaginable. Its a miracle, this store is still in business with the horrible, uncultured, vulgar, impolite, discourteous customer service staff it employs. Do business with them at your own risk. My advice: STAY AWAY.

I would not be coming here at Newport News Audio One again. It took 3 weeks and still they do not have the car stereo I order. My appointment is today so I went with Car Stereo they already had in stock. I wanted the CD/ DVD player for my car. End it up with non CD/DVD player. Been here since open at 10:30 am and it is 3:40 pm (over 5 hours) and still not finish. I will come back to this review when it is finished installing. I wish I can give them no Star.

Incredible Service, came in to get new speakers installed. When I say this I really mean it audio one does an amazing job, they are respectful and knowledgeable. I’m very impressed and happy with the job they did. I 100% recommend them for any audio jobs you guys need.

I had them build a custom box for my two Memphis mojos to take up my entire trunk. They messed up the first two boxes but we’re very professional and polite about it. Had to wait longer then I would’ve liked for the box but the manager gave me a very good price and was super polite and helpful throughout the process. They definitely have a returning customer in me and they definitely know their stuff when it comes to car audio. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality work.

This place has been used by my family a lot. They have never let us down or misrepresented any work they have done. The quality of work is amazing and the staff is inviting and very knowledgeable. Do yourself a favor and give them 1 shot. Thats all they need to convince you.

I bought a wiring harness for my 2015 Equinox. To my knowledge no one else had it so that was a plus. One of the connections between the harness and included module is faulty, causing my left speaker to go in and out. I tested to see where the issue was coming from to conclude this. So I would not have to have 2 installs, I asked if I could purchase another kit, have best buy take the faulty one out, install the new one, and return the faulty one. I was told doing that would result in returning a used part and I would not be refunded for it. They said I have to get best buy to uninstall it, bring it back to Audio One to exchange it, and then have best buy install the new one. Since this is only occurring because of a faulty harness that they sold me, I would have appreciated a solution that was not as burdensome. They were not open to any solution that would be less inconvenient and came across not caring at all that their plan required a lot of time, energy, and money. Im sure with no issues they are great, but I hope the next time around another company has what I need so I can be confident that they wont inconvenience me for their problems.

This has been my go-to place for auto electronics for about a decade. This was the first time they couldnt help me. My wifes car is a 2013 Avalon hybrid but it was the first production year and they had no interface information for it. They only had information for 2014 forward. I ended up going to a shop nearly an hour from my house to get the type of remote start but we wanted. Another manufacturer made something that would work, with the shop did not carry their products. I will probably return for other projects to at least give them the first opportunity. One thing I do have to say for this outfit, if you have a later problem related to the install itself, at least for me they have never charged to fix it.

The remote to my alarm busted and after calling around I brought my car here for a replacement. The staff was very friendly over the phone and when I stopped in Jaun was friendly and helped me find a replacement set. Thank you Audio one.

I took my car to these guys after trying to install an aftermarket stereo by myself. I royally messed it up, but they were able to fix what I broke and finish installing my new radio for me. Great service I brought my truck in for a subwoofer fix they got it all squared away but then a week later I started having issues with my car starting it seemed like something electrical.... so my first thought is dang the shop I brought my car to might have screwed something up so I asked if they would re check their work and they did with no hesitation and no cost! They ruled out that is was their work and even went the extra mile to tell me that my starter was bad! All for free and by fault of my own I forgot you get the name of the tech that helped my find out where the starter was and what I had to do to get it started and out of the stores lot. Great service audio one I will be coming back for any future audio needs !

Instant service with a smile. I rolled up to the store at closing time and the manager got me right in, he did the job himself so the other workers could finish the cars they were on. My new speakers sound great.

This place is amazing along with customer service. I bought 2 12” subs and a box meant for my truck and when they went to do the install the depth of box was to shallow for subs. Not only did they go out of their way to modify the box and make everything work, but the manager even gave me a ride home while they kept my truck to make sure everything was done right. Highly recommend them for audio install.

Also, Jawon Vann, who installs and does sales, is very knowledgeable. This store is clean and does excellent work. They also guarantee their labor and use high quality product. I highly recommend them. I had a stereo system installed first. I then went back for a remote start security system, and most recently I added a back-up camera.

The staff is great, friendly and understanding! My son shoved my debit card in the CD Player, and they fit me right in with minimal interruption my day. If you need any kind of audio work done, you’d be crazy to go anywhere else.

I had a new bluetooth stereo head piece installed in my vehicle. They were quick, price-matched the one I was looking at online, and charged a reasonable price. Plus, if I have any questions, they said they can always help. I actually went here after my friend had a great experience here. He had a new stereo installed in his car in another state from a different company and then it died as he was driving cross country. This store contacted the original store who did the installation and fixed the problem for him honoring the warranty and work. Professional work, good experience.

Looking to put a touchscreen in my vehicle. Prices was a little more than I expected. Poor service. Didnt demo any stereos to listen. I couldnt get it to work. Didnt feel comfortable. No service was performed on my vehicle.

Absolutly fantastic service. I had bought a stereo online and then asked them what wiring harness I needed and they helped me get it. About a week later I could not get the stereo to work and so I went and asked for help and within 5 minutes they had solved. Absolutly the best.

I had a appointment for 1 o clock and they didnt start until an hr later. The installer put dents in my digital display for my ac, and the screws they used to mount my amplifier were so long that one completely went through my upholstery. There equipment is overly priced and I dont recommend anybody else go to them.

Took my 98 Vett with my new Pioneer 7 touch screen in after I tried to wire it myself, with poor instructions that came with the unit, and these guys checked it out, re-wired it correctly, and it works like a champ. Great job and it didnt break the bank.

This is absolutely the best place to get your car audio hooked up and tuned to absolute perfection. Shawn is VERY informative and helpful. My F-150 sounds like a concert hall and my Nissan is getting the FULL treatment as well. JL AUDIO all the way. Ask about that insane-dumb-nasty JL AUDIO factory tuned long shaped box equipped with the 10W06 speaker that will blow your hair back! SICK!

I had to take my truck here 4 times for them to get a simple wiring harness installed right and get everything to work the way it was supposed to. The people have no clue what they are doing and the manager is rude and belittles you and on the phone sounds like a straight ass. Also when before I took it up there a second time the manager told me he didnt have the part but would contact me once he found out when he would have it. I waited over a week no phone call finally had to just call up there and another sales person said they had the part but no information on that I needed it. 240 some dollars for a half assed job. They dont solder connections so you pick up engine noise. I might not know a lot about stereos but I grantee Ill do it myself before I ever go back here. Save your money and time go somewhere else

Can definitely agree with some of the negative reviews about wasted time. Told to “come on up” when I called this afternoon. Upon arrival I was told we could at least see what the issue might be with my car audio, and that they just needed a few minutes. . . Waited an hour and a half . . . Nothing else was said to me about when I might be helped. A customer that apparently knew the manager even came in after me and they chatted it up for a half hour, minimum as I continued to wait unaddressed “for a few minutes”. At one point during my wait there were four employees up front. . . Still nothing. One of the three other employees Who wasn’t chatting even left for food. . Needless to say I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. . . I could be halfway or more to literally anywhere else in Virginia with an hour and a half. . . and NOTHING even occurred. . . Not even a thanks for waiting. . I just left the store I’m so annoyed. Wish I would’ve known they were going to waste my time so I could be halfway or more to somewhere that actually wants business. For sure a never again for me.
