The car I drove in with didnt start when I went to leave, they came out to me & offered me to borrow the car we were looking at as a loaner... treating me (the customer) respectfully all the while.... WOW!!! The car needed a bit a work to make it 100%, there was no problem getting that factory service as part of my deal. The service writer (I think Melissa) was great to work with... remembered my name every time we talked. All of this made it very easy for me to decide to buy with Power! Went in with an oil light issue. They were awesome and tried to figure it out, but to no avail. I appreciate the time they took. Great service.
We came in at 7:45 AM for a scheduled 8 AM service appointment to address check engine light. Gave the code reader report from auto parts store to the service writer upon arrival, and was told We will get to it. The service writer was informed that we were waiting for the truck. The truck was pulled into the service bay where it sat for 2 hours. After that time period, went to ask for a progress report. The new service writer stated he had to check, and would report back in 10 minutes. 30 minutes later still no update. After another inquiry, finally given a diagnosis, and told the part was a valve that would take ...about 20 minutes to install. Finally left the dealership with my vehicle after approximately 3 1/2 hours for what (by their own description) was about 20 minutes to install the part. Service writer stated they were short handed.This was a very disappointing experience. We bring 2 vehicles here from over an hour away, and when a scheduled appointment turns into nearly half a day, makes us wonder if we should return.Sadly, at this time, we cannot recommend Powers service department. Hope they can solve their staffing problems, or at a minimum, improve customer communication, offer loaner vehicles, and an incentive to return when they fall short.
We have done business with Power of Lincoln City for many years. We recently purchased a 2014 Subaru Outback from them. As usual, Stacy was very helpful and new just what we needed. He is not your typical used car salesman, he is not pushy or overbearing in any way. Thank you Stacy!

Got my c7 Z06 Corvette dash pad installed. I wanted adrenaline red instead of black and the tech at power did it in a hour! To get to the dash pad the shift plate, center console and the glove box ALL has to come off. That’s huge and to do it in a hour and a perfect job is the reason I only let Power work on my Corvette. They did a great job.
Randal Baker is an All-star in sales, went in yesterday to check on trading in my 2017 Buick, and 3 hours later drove home in a brand new car. Highly recommend Power Buick by far the easiest most pleasant car buying experience Ive ever had. Wow told them what was wrong with appointment came back 2 hours later sitting outside un repaired and 140.00 labor to find the problem. Told them to fix again and charger again labor to rake apart this is strike 3 fir them done with this shop for both vehicles.
I setup an appointment at 10AM for an oil change, yes a 10 minute job max, and I end up leaving after 12pm. Over 2 hours for an oil change with an appointment? People came in the waiting room after I did left before I did. At one point, someone comes out and says he is working on it now... an hour later.. still nothing. I asked to talk to someone and 30 mins later no one comes out to me. I could have walked into any other place and got it done quicker. Not sure if its a lack of mechanical skills or they have the worse appointment system ever. Either way, I will never been back. *The front counter guy was very nice about it saying sorry a bunch and gave me a great discount. I added a star at the end because of him.
I had the best buying experience when I purchased my Mustang Convertible. I worked with Kimberly and Roy. They bent over backwards to make sure I was happy with my car and I couldnt be more happy. This was a hard time in my life as I had just lost my husband 6 weeks earlier and I was replacing the minivan I had because it had too many bad memories. Kimberly was so kind and both her and Roy worked hard to make sure this purchase went through. I especially went back to Kimberly because she was who I worked with when I bought my minivan. These are really good people. I highly recommend Kimberly. Thank you for all you did for me.

They don’t honor warranty of merchantability at all. I was sold a lemon, that had the water pump and thermostat blow a month after purchase, and was told they wouldn’t at the very least help do anything about it. I was spoken over the entire time on the phone while trying to politely speak my case. I’m really frustrated that I was taken by a this dealership. A very poor first time experience.
I stopped in to check out a Tahoe and was helped by Randal Baker. I really dont like sales people and often will try to dodge them. But Randal made the experience super easy, outgoing, and friendly. I felt I was shopping with a friend vs a salesguy. I didnt plan on buying that day but Randal made it to easy to pass up. The managers and finance team were great! Our experience has been great up until a couple of weeks ago. This was with the Service Department with Jake and his team. I had my Hummer taken in for a diagnostic for catalytic converter and other things to be checked out. I paid 140 bucks to have that done. Ok fine, I get that. Well, my husband and I wanted a second opinion and we decided to take it to another mechanic to confirm the results they told us. The total price tag for repairs was about 2k.So, when I took it to another mechanic, the guy said that there was a bolt missing and others were loose on the transmission part, and there was TONS of fluid all over the engine it was leaking BIG TIME. We live in Yachats and I had to drive to Florence to get the second opinion. It had been 4 days from the time Power of Newport Chevy had diagnosed my hummer and I had been driving with loose nuts and the fluid leaking EVERYWHERE causing a possible safety issue. I drive my 22 month old grandson and my 26 old son around all the time. Can you imagine the MAJOR issues..So, the same day I got the second opinion I called my husband and he called PON and totally went off on them for the issue they caused, and explained the safety concerns and pursuing a possible lawsuit do to any and all damages caused by what they caused with the transmission.The new mechanic explained that there was NO WAY that the nuts could have been shaken off or anything that they were simply forgotten.Later that day I called and talked to Jake and he informed me that his boss refused to service and did not want to welcome us back at all and that he put his top mechanic on the issue he was not sure why it happened or how, basically saying he refused to take accountability for the issue of the transmission. He further stated that we are no longer welcome in their store/service area. I advised them I was willing to talk this over with them and Jake admitted that I was more level headed and to give him time to talk things over with his boss and all.That was WELL over 2 weeks ago and we have yet to hear from them.I am beyond confused as to why we can not talk things out about the issue, all I want to see find out how this could have happened and for them to admit it was a mistake and that they would own up too it. They are the only ones who I trusted ( up until NOW ) to service my vehicle. We had been happy with them and worked with them and enjoyed doing business with them, but, when you put my grandson and my familys life at risk and not owing up to it was them who caused it?I am beyond upset about this, no phone calls, emails, return anything from them what so ever???What kind of business does this? and then threatens to say we are no longer welcome in their establishment??? We have the right to state we are seeking legal advice due to POSSIBLE negligence against us, and the POSSIBLE damage it could have caused, not be be treated like WE caused the issue? and to treat us like WE were the problem bc we stated that we were going to seek legal advice???I have owned businesses before and I know that this is NOT the way to treat people. Shame on you Jake and the Manager and all those involved.!I will also be uploading the price difference, I also understand that there are price differences but I expect HONESTY and respect. the new mechanic is charging 1,000 LESS that the dealership. I get price increases and everyone got to make their money, BUT what does not make sense is that jake quoted rates for parts that, in his OPINION were to be replaced, where the new guy said they dont need to be replaced. again, personal choice and opinions, but, those choices should be left up to the owner of the vehicle right?Again I am all about fair and honest, but, this is gone way overboard....
Service department is really on top of there job. Remembers their customers and what they need. It makes you feel your car is in the best care.

Took my Tahoe in the get a check engine light diagnosed and believed that everything was done correctly but decided to get a 2nd opinion. 2nd opinion was correct and saved me $1700 on what Power said should be done. The problem would have shown up on the diagnostics if it had been done as stated. They denied any compensation or responsibility.
Vehicles are dirtier than expected, I was informed that, because there are so many people getting in and out they will not detail it until the vehicle is sold.To me thats just lazy.

No one employed that could diagnose a transmission problem.
It cost nearly $10,000 to repair the car and waited for 2 months from start to finish. The key problem is that it does not solve the problem. After replacing the headlights, the headlights will not work properly. The dealer asked me to drive to the original factory for repair. I have never seen such an irresponsible dealer, For such businesses, there is absolutely no chance of repeat customers, just spend money to buy lessons.The score is not suitable for a star.
We worked with a very sweet young man named Ben. From the start he went out of his way to show me everything I gave in my criteria, and was literally running across the lot to get questions I had answered, and information for me. The whole time I worked with him he had genuine concern and happiness, actual emotion, which in my previous car buying experience I had not had at other dealerships. He helped us finance and got the car set up and ready for us.After purchasing, he kept contact and still to this day occasionally asks how we are enjoying the car and wants to make sure everything is good.When my plates came in, he dropped everything he was doing and came out himself in the drizzle to put them on for me. Just all in all a very sweet guy. I can definitely say with my experience here I will be back when its time for a trade in or another new car. And hey, if youre going here, ask for Ben :)

Hannah was a great with keeping in touch with me about a vehicle I was interested in. Hannah kept in touch with me about a Toyota Highlander I was interested in, but unfortunately when we came up to Newport she was off that day. Hannah kept in touch with us even though we did not like that highlander she gave us other options about other vehicles we might be interested in. In the meantime we did find a Highlander here where we live and had all the options and color we liked and the price was right for us. Hannah had called us after we purchased this to let us know she had sent us info on some other vehicles she found and I explained to her that we had just found a highlander that we really liked and suited our needs, she was very happy for us and said that we would really like the Toyota Highlander and wished us luck and she asked me to fill out the google review and told her I would. Hannah is new to your dealership but I really wanted you to know she was very very helpful to our needs and kept in touch with me about what how she could help. Very long review, so bear with me. Ive bought cars before from Power in Lincoln City and have had excellent experiences. Power Chevrolet in Newport was a much different experience. About a month and a half ago, I found a car that I loved at this dealership. Both our sales person and the finance person made the buying process fairly smooth and easy, and reasonably quick. The car needed a sensor replaced, so we negotiated into the contract that Power would have it repaired at their expense. I was given the option of leaving it there until the repair was completed, or I could take it home and have it done later. I opted to have the service done later. The vehicle also had not been detailed or even washed, but since it was late in the day, I asked if they could just wash it when they did the repair as the inside of the car was very clean. They told me that wouldnt be a problem. I was also told I would have a loaner car while they had my vehicle. I asked if I would be able to drop my vehicle off at the Power dealership in Lincoln City when I brought it in for repair and was again told that wouldnt be a problem. I asked if they could give me an SUV or larger car for my loaner, since I have a large family. Again, I was told no problem. I held off on writing this review to see if they stood by what they had told me.After driving the car off the lot, communication with Power became difficult, frustrating, and sometimes non existent. I felt very unimportant after they had made their sale. A day or two after having the car, we called to make an appointment to have the promised service done. It took nearly two weeks just to get someone to help us get an appointment. My partner had to make a lot of calls on my behalf because I work night shift, often 50-60 hours a week. We were often ignored or told that we needed to talk to someone else. I had been under the impression that my sales person would be able to coordinate everything, but ended up feeling like I was just a nuisance. Finally after getting an appointment, we were told to bring the car to Newport to be taken to Corvallis to be fixed at their VW dealership. We had originally been told that we could drop it off and get a loaner car in Lincoln City. We were told there were better options for loaner cars in Newport, so we drove there. The car they gave us was a very cramped Chevy Cruze hatchback, after we were told it wouldnt be a problem for them to loan us an SUV or larger sedan. Id had some questions and concerns, but there was nobody at the dealership at that time who could help me, so we left.After a few days, we called and texted to get a status on my car. We were basically ignored. About a week after my car was dropped off, we were finally told it hadnt even been diagnosed yet, and that it could be a different problem than what we were told. For several more days we tried to get answers and tried to find out when Id be able to get my car back. During this time, I was told by a police officer that the loaner car I had been driving actually wasnt legal to drive. It didnt have plates or a trip permit. Two weeks after dropping my car off for service, we were told it was ready.When I picked up my car, it had not been washed like I was told it would be. The inside was dirty and it had not been when we dropped it off. They were not able to tell us which repairs or services had been done. They did not have any service records to provide to us when we asked for them. A salesperson in the lobby was apologetic and said he would get them if we wanted to wait. I absolutely did not want to wait, so we asked for them to be emailed, which the gentleman had done promptly. After leaving, we stopped to get gas and check the oil as well. The oil was a quart low, so I assume it was not checked during the diagnostics at the service department. Otherwise, the car is running great so far.TL;DR: I was a priority when I was buying the car. After the sale was made, I was no longer important. I do not recommend this dealership and will not be a return customer.
Unbelievable great service. Car developed battery problem late afternoon. They got car in first thing in am. Found the issue and replaced the battery. Had car ready to go by 10am.We are from AZ traveling through. Their service certainly was a blessing. Would recommend them to anyone.
Service department is top notch. They were able to have my issue fixed and back on the road in a timely manner. Communicated well and often. Highly recommend.
Have used these guys twice now. Happy with results both times. Would gladly use again if I werent moving out of state. They are accommodating and worked quickly. Scheduling was a breeze. My car looks like new. Worked easily with my insurance. Car was cleaned and washed before return. Great job, guys!

Everyone I encountered was very friendly and helpful. I love my new car and would definitely recommend this dealership.
They were friendly and kind enough to let me sort of quick charge my Chevrolet bolt gratis. The lounge area is more comfortable and welcoming than my more local Chevrolet dealer. The dealer had free popcorn and some coffee or tea options. My more local dealer has a bunch of vending machines.
