Very fine selection.but not enough of a selection

A real wine shop. Run by people that know wine and enjoy it. You can tell by simply asking for a recommendation. Yes, they carry some expensive wines, but they have a broad price range.

I visited New Port in July. Came across this place and they were helpful with picking out the local wine. My debit card was run and I was assured that it had not gone through. I paid cash. I was returning to Texas the next day and asked again and was reassured that the card had not went through. Well it did. I paid twice. This happened July 12 and today is August 22 and I have called twice, maybe three times. Sent the information requested multiple times and I have yet to receive a refund. I am having to contact my bank again to see what steps need to be taken. It really is pathetic. I am not there. I am in Texas. So I do not recommend visiting this place if your not local. That way when your double charged you can at least visit again to get your money back. Tell Ross hi for me. He is the one that remembered the incident, reassured me my refund and the one I have been communicating with.

Conveniently placed in the heart of Newport Rhode Island where I live a great selection of wine from guys who really know wines. Ask the worker a question and you will see this is the right place to be if your really looking to broaden your horizons. Thanks so much for always serving me with a smile and giving me the best discounts. Said I would write a review well here it is.

Bellevue Wine & Spirits has a one of the best wine selections on the Island.. and tastings most Sundays in the winter. The staff is very knowledgeable when it comes down to their selection and they carry fine wines like Opus One and Dom.

Owners a super dick. He is rude as hell, and always negative, unless you come in throwing money around... BUT, if you want WAY overpriced alcohol, this place is for you. The owners name is John, btw.
