It has been 15 years since we had Poirier Sales supply all the appliances (GE Profile) for our newly renovated kitchen. The entire process from sales to delivery was excellent. To this day, we still have all those appliances having had no need for any service calls during that period of time. Our latest purchase last month was simpler (top load washer), and again, the experience was still excellent. Poirier Sales staff was knowledgeable, courteous, and accommodating, as well as having very competitive prices. Keep up the great work!

They really dont care. My wife has buying from Poirier for over 20 years for our home in Walpole mainly because of there service. In may of this we moved 3 minutes over the Mass border to Cumberland Rhode Island. After we moved she bought an expensive Bosch dishwasher. Poirer 3rd party installation commpany installed it. 3 months later we are having problems with the dish washer. She called Poirier service and was told they do not service Rhode Island. We called Poiriers and they told us they would come to our house to service it beacuse it was in Rhode Island. THe sales person told my wife on the phone he was not aware of this policy. They did absoluntly nothing to help us nor apoligised. They did not care about my wifes 20 years of purchases or loyalty.They really DO NOT CARE.In response to my review, Porier stated they were so sorry and would contact me ASAP to resolve...Guess what...they never contacted me. They really really dont care.

Was extremely disappointed on our first visit to Poirier’s today (Saturday at 4pm). My husband and I were completely ignore by a salesman who was available and walked right past us, and the other two who were occupied did not have the decency to acknowledge us and say they would be with us as soon as they could. After waiting 15 minutes with no one helping us, we walked out.

Purchased a new stove and microwave and had it installed. I placed my order via phone. The rep was very patient and courteous and sent me a copy of the order immediately after completion and then called me back to confirm. The installation crew was excellent - showed a lot of care both for my new equipment and my home. I highly recommend Poirier.

I called to order a new dryer on Tuesday and had it delivered and working by Thursday morning!! Price was the same as all the big box stores but the service was far superior. Since it was a gas dryer, needed a plumber to install it. Vito is the plumber they use and he was prompt, pleasant and professional. He brought the dryer with him on Thursday morning and I was using it 30 minutes later. And he took my old clunker away. Couldn’t be happier.

If you are a retail buyer or DIYer, look elsewhere.I purchased a floor model Asko dishwasher from Poirier in July 2019. Our 17 yo Asko finally gave way and led me to visit Asko dealers Ferguson and Poirier in Newton. Ferguson offered a new $949 Asko dw with a $150 rebate, bringing the total to $799. There was one catch - I would need to pick up the unit at the local Asko distributor, Clarkes, way out in Milford.Jimmy (James Jr.) at Poirier offered a $1049 floor model for $869, with no rebate for floor models. I discovered that it had previously been installed at a home (food waste in the pump area), but I wasnt keen on making the long trip out to Milford for the Ferguson unit. I chose to buy from Poirier. While a toekick was missing, Jimmy told me it would be direct shipped from Clarkes within a few days. Good result on the surface, but this story gets worse.As I installed the new unit, I discovered other hardware missing and unattached backplate hardware. I emailed Jimmy and he told me these would be sent soon from Clarkes as well. Fast forward two weeks later and the toekick and hardware hadnt arrived. I emailed Jimmy again and told him I needed the parts within days for others staying at my house while I was on vacation. He stated his parts manager now had the order and Clarke would be sending the product within a few business days. Great. Needless to say, it didnt arrive before I left.With Jimmy out of communication for nearly three weeks, after I arrived home from vacation I expected a carrier had left a pickup slip at my house. This didnt happen. I drove directly to Clarkes in Milford to finally pick up all the parts - the one thing I didnt want to do with the lower priced and new Ferguson dishwasher in order to save time. There, Clarke tells me they had no record of any parts order exists under my name made by Poirier, in over 4 weeks. Worse, the parts werent in stock anyway. Not a word from Poirier about any of this.After I tell Jimmy this, the next day he sourced the parts taken off an Asko floor model at another Poirier location - something they could have done weeks before. Jimmy drove the parts to my house and offers to do the install. While this was a nice touch and appreciated, when he realized this takes 30 minutes, and involves removing and reinstalling the backplate and previously unattached hardware, not just simply attaching a toekick, he opted to leave and continue on with his day.In total, I spent an extra 6-8 hours doing extra installation, phone calls, emails, and driving an hour out of my way to make this work.With the increased DIY remodels and self-sourcing, Poiriers service and nearly zero communication toward a retail buyer is a lost opportunity. Save your time and find a different appliance retailer.

I have purchased 2 Kitchens for 2 different houses from Jim. Great selection. Great pricing. And above all, great service after the sale. I wouldnt buy appliances anywhere else.

I did not want to go to a big box store. I wanted to support a local merchant instead. Bridget and Alex in the Newton store could not have been more helpful even though this was a relatively small sale by their standards. Shawn and friend who did delivery never gave up! I have an old house with undersized doors. THey had a sense of humor, professionalism, courtesy. Cannot wait to buy another appliance from Poirier.

Every experience I have ever had with Poirier Sales has been second to none. The gentleman I deal with and always have dealt with is Mr. Jimmy Tieso Jr.Jimmy is everything you can ask for in a salesman - friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and responsive.All of my transactions with him have gone smoothly. When I purchased two in-wall AC units, he even arranged to have my AC sleeves replaced with a company they contract services through.Three years after purchasing my AC units, I called Jimmy with a service question and he walked me through the repair over the phone - something beyond his job description. I do not think I have ever met a salesman that cares for their customers AFTER a transaction (or at all) as much as Jimmy.Because of Jimmy not only will I be purchasing all of my future appliances from him, but I will be referring all of my family and friends, too.If you have a bad taste in your mouth about dealing with appliances, please do yourself a favor and call Jimmy at Poirier Sales - he will change your mind.
