I am a Wood Artist and have made a few purchases from Boston Craftworks because I know the owner carries or will try and find the items I am needing for my work on certain projects. Most of is offered are speciality or custom items not readily available from other suppliers and I understand that there might be a short waiting period before I receive my order. I have found the owner to reputable and willing to try to fulfil my purchase request. Boston Craftworks are often referred from Kaleidoscope makers located in many countries and the Kaleidoscope Makers Forum. I am appreciative of the owner keeping his business open and serving a specialty marker.
THis phone number isnt to Boston Craft works. Its a completly diffrent online store
I placed an order online on a Wednesday and received an order confirmation. The next day I emailed the store asking that they let me know if the product is not available or to update me on the status. I received no response. I tried calling the day after that and no one answered. I called again on Monday and a guy answered (no name or store name given, I had to ask to make sure I reached the right place) and said he was waiting to see if he could get the item Id ordered. When I asked why he had my money for several days now without knowing if he could provide the product, he said hes not Amazon. Yes, I get that, but I dont expect someone to advertise an item for sale unless they have it. Thats how the Brooklyn Bridge gets sold. He rudely said hed cancel the order and hung up on me. I would never do business with this guy again. I did get my money back, thats the best thing I can say about that experience.EDIT to update in response to owners statements - I absolutely did not demand amazing service, I requested communication. From my perspective, he received my money and then I had to keep calling to try to find out about my order. Im definitely happy to give my business to others who do have the items in stock that they advertise, and do provide communication about orders once they receive payment for same. I found the same item - at the same price - from another business and received it promptly after paying for it. Thats how business is done. There was no part of my review that was dishonest or misleading.
This company sucks first class. Dont expect to receive what you order or a refund. Dont bother to call regarding not receiving your order because all you will get is the answering machine for someone called Larry who will never call you back. Dont bother sending e-mails or letters because they will be ignored and you will never receive an reply. In other words steer clear and order what you want somewhere else, This company isnt worth a star rating, its just a black hole for your money. I sent a bank check for $40.30 in May of this year and have yet to receive my order as of 11/12/14,
They had issues with my first order it took a long time. I gave them another chance and they redeemed themselves! I really love what they offer and hope all future transactions go as smoothly as the last. Thanks.
Great service every time. Lots of fun stuff to choose from!
On 5 Feb 2015 I ordered 2 mirrors. I received an email saying my order was received, and that was the last message I have received from Boston Craftworks. On 10 Feb my credit card was charged. I have not received an email saying the product was shipped, and I have not received the product. I have sent numerous emails asking for the status, and have not received a reply. I have called twice and left a voicemail with Larry to return my calls, but Larry has not called.I would like to know the status of my order, and either the product shipped or my money back.
Each of my orders, no matter how small have been taken care of very well. Larry gets involved on any question I may have and things go smoothly. There should be more companies that are run like this.Thank You Larry,Gary Gabriel, LMT
