Devaney Energy service person came out to do the regular seasonal tune-up and check up on my oil heating system. He was on time, friendly, professional and thorough. Ive always had very good service from Devaney and would recommend them highly.

I have been a customer off and on for 20 years. I keep trying to find a better price per gallon with other companies but even when the others can beat the price by a few cents the customer service doesn’t match Devaney/Arcudi. I always come back.Everyone I talk to is helpful and polite. They always find an answer to my questions - and I can be a PITA- but they remain polite regardless.They recently replaced my leaking 40 year old oil tank. Their price was competitive and the workmanship excellent. They cleaned up so well, except for the new tank, I couldn’t tell they had even been here.I am on auto delivery and have never run out of heating oil even with heavy snow in the forecast.

Have been using Devaney Energy for several years now. Response has always been excellent whenever fuel or propane deliverers were requested. Area surrounding oil burner has always been left extremely clean after the yearly oil burner cleaning by staff. I would highly recommend this company for your needs.

A bunch of con artists. They have several business names they use to lure people into contracts that give them free reign to bankruptcy you. They often deliver on the weekends so they can charge a much higher price than advertised (up to $1.00 over the listed price) because I had to send someone out on overtime this weekend, even though youre on automated delivery Monday through Friday. They go by Blackstone Oil, Arcudi Oil, Devaney Oil, depends on the day of the week as to what theyll answer the phone as.

We had a terrible experience with their “budget plan”. We were set up on an auto-delivery with a $200/mo payment plan, the payment amounts were never changed to reflect what we were actually using once history was established. Instead of lowering the monthly amount to compensate for this, or not charging at all when there was such a high credit balance, they wanted to increase the monthly payments. We decided to switch to a more transparent and affordable company.

Devaney Energy is the best company out there. I had an emergency no heat situation at the most inconvenient time, and they responded within two hours and fixed the situation. All the employees are knowledgeable and professional. Five stars.

Ive been using Devaney Energy for 5 years now, and they have always sent knowledgeable service people to my house. I like to ask questions and learn about whatevers going on in my house, and the technicians have lots of information to share. Their service plan is worth doing as well.

Once again the Devaney service was great. The technician arrived on time, was polite, efficient, and most impressive of all, he laid drops cloths from the outer door to the furnace room as there was still snow on the ground outside. That care was most aprreciated.

In the 34 years that I have lived in a house with oil heat I have done business with 3 oil companies consecutively. For the last 6 years the company has been Devaney Energy, and they are the best in my experience. Services have been oil delivery, boiler maintenance, new water heater and new oil tank. Occasional issues have been resolved to my satisfaction. I am pleased with the results.

I find Devaney (DEH-va-ney) has good oil prices, they come regularly way before the oil gets too low, the people I have dealt with are knowledgeable and friendly, and every service call (we all have them when something like a pump fails) gets responded to in a prompt and efficient manner. I do have a service policy with them, but like all service policies (cars, electronics) there are exclusions, just something to be aware of. I am very happy with Devaney, been with them about four years now.

November 22, 2020Props to the Devaney Energy team once again, this time for the installation of our new Buderus oil boiler with the Veissmann indirect hot water system under the MassSave program, which has enhanced our home equity & quality of life in a big way.Their installation techs, Anthony & Anthony, did an immaculate installation; true professionals and very courteous, explaining everything we needed to know and getting the job done with precision in short order. And salesperson Mark did a great job measuring and specifying the right size; and then with a sharp price pencil, made it easy for us to afford what’s needed, while qualifying for the MassSave heat loan and rebate program, as well as Devaney’s complementary service program.Bottom line: with the new MassSave insulation upgrade we did in the summer, and this new installation, the house is remarkably evenly heated and comfortable. And, for the first time ever I’m able to take a wonderfully hot bath not possible with the boiler and water heater we’d been using, which had been installed prior to our major home addition 25 years ago.Yes, we could have had it done cheaper and we considered that closely. But it’s yet another purchase that I’m glad I followed my dad’s advice: “get the best you can afford and you’ll always be happy.”We are content. Weve been clients of James Devaney for over 20 years even after we moved 45 min away from Boston to a new home. They provide excellent service and they are equally loyal to us as we are to them.

Everything went great. The tech was right on time and worked efficiently. The only reason I gave a four star instead of five is because I am confused on who my company is. I get emails from one (like who serviced my home) but pay my bills to another.

I’ve been a Devaney oil customer for 5 years and, until this year, have never had an issue.Since late winter of this year, we’ve had their service techs out at least once a month for the same issue and, this week, we are on our third service call in 8 days. The heating system seems to malfunction and turn off, resulting in no hot water and no heat. Every person who comes out to fix it does something that gets it up and running again, albeit for a limited time until the problem starts up again. I have a service contract with Devaney so none of these calls have cost me anything, except my patience and major time lost waiting for repairs, often during hours when I’m supposed to be working.I’ve had it - I’ve complained to the company about this and just 2 days ago they sent out a senior tech and supervisor to get to the bottom of the issue. Stupidly, I believed the techs when they claimed to have figured it out. Now, 2 days later, I again have no hot water and am waiting for yet another tech to “fix” the issue.I’m frustrated beyond belief and will switching oil companies to hopefully find out who can fix something ONCE and not over a dozen times to date. Given the apathy of today’s tech, and his insistence that he replace a part that has been replaced in this dilemma at least half a dozen times, I have zero faith that this is resolved.Shame on you, Devaney. What is the point of responsive emergency service if none of your employees can actually accurately diagnose issues?

Ive been dealing with Devaney Energy for years, after an insulting and demeaning experience with another company. They have prompt service, an extremely pleasant staff, and they helped us resolve problems even when there was no money in it for them. They also have served our tenants, who also have been happy with the service, no complaints about price. I have not compared their prices to others, but if theyre a little higher, youll get what you pay for. I recommend that you give them a try.

My daughter ran out of oil, her roommate broke the lease, she was waiting for town approval for fuel assistance. She is struggling to make ends meet.Attempted to help her out by purchasing one time oil delivery, right before Thanksgiving. NO OTHER OIL COMPANIES WOULD HELP, they did not care about circumstances, only wanted commitment to be reoccurring customer. McFarland oil company was the ONLY ONE THAT WOULD HELP! Spoke to Paul Corwin, the manager there, and he said, dont worry, we will take care of you. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank God, I dont need oil heat, but if I did, this is the only company I would recommend, the others are bad business.

I was Devaney’s customer for many years. Always paid my bills on time. When Our heating oil tank had a leak, Devaney’s staff were incompetent to handle installation of new oil tank. They kept transferring me between tank company and Devaney manager Kelly. When I called tank company rep. Michelle and Devaney manager Kelly they did not return my calls. I was running out of heating and hot water oil. So I decided to go with a different competent vendor. Now we have a new tank and new contract with a better vendor. Devaney energy is a big disappointment. Shame on you.

I had terrible experience. They charged me more than 1 dollar 10 cents because i did not call them. My contract ended in May. i called them for price adjustments but they said free market and oil price is 2.29 in free market (they charged 3.39). Now i have to deal with law suit etc. I will not let it go and talk to all of my neighbors.

We have had steam heating for many years. Its a bit retro, but we love it including the fact that it keeps your house from getting too dry in the winter. We have learned that steam heat requires someone who knows what they are doing. Devaney has the pros who have been doing this for a long time, and no they are not paying us to say this. Last month, we had Steve do the service, and he nailed a banging problem that weve had for some time. Thanks so much Devaney, appreciate the help!
