The service was the best I have experienced since owning my 2015 Honda. I had previously been going to dealer but have used Active Green & Ross previously then this past Spring and on again on Friday to have snow tires and other recommended services.The communication and report were very clear, concise and very friendly and competent representative and technician very knowledgeable and even took the vehicle out for a test drive after servicing.They are very busy which is an indication that they give good service but appoint was on time..They were first recommended to me by my son who had his car serviced there.

Alex provided me with information on possible winter tires and gave me a recommendation based on my needs. He was very professional, helpful and knowledgeable. We were even able to keep my old rims which was a savings for me.The service appointment for installation was quick and efficient.Customer service is A+

Brought my car in after a 3,500km road trip. I was offered a free inspection which captured several issues; they were all promptly repaired at reasonable prices. What helped me was that he provided me the actual parts (after their replacement) so I could see how worn they were and his expertise saved me further replacement down the road. This shop was recommended to me by a family member. I found the staff to be courteous to deal with. They did not attempt to up sell me with items or service that was not required. The charges for tires, installation and wheel alignment were very reasonable. I will use this shop again.

Wish I could give this place more than 5 stars because theyre superbly professional and friendly. I went to 7 automotive centres to find a good estimate for new tires, and I chose Active Green+Ross Tire & Automotive Centre because they had the best prices, recommended the best quality tires, included a warranty for the tires, and provided a free inspection for the car. Turns out, they spotted a lot more things than my regular dealership inspection. After the new tires and the fixes they recommended, its like I have a brand new car. I called Active Green + Ross about getting my Tucson in to have the winter tires put on. They were able to take me the very next day! The manager, Alex Kolonko, was extremely helpful and ever so polite!Within an hour they had installed my winter tires, loaded the summers in the back, checked my alignment, put on new wipers and I was on my way! Had my brakes replaced for a very reasonable cost and they fixed a vibration issue at the same time. Drove away feeling like I was driving a new car and it didn’t break the bank. Great service. Luc, the owner was a great help and was able to quickly and easily get me back on the road and NOT break the bank!! I was 1300km from home and had suffered mechanical failure that could have very easily ruined my trip. Alex (technician) was able to easily get the repair done despite being an older vehicle with somewhat moderate corrosion issues. He was able to skillfully disassemble and reassemble the vehicle no additional parts were required, which is a feat in itself. He even took some additional time to do some further inspection to make sure there were no additional monsters in the closet waiting to get me.Couldnt ask for a more courteous, skillful and knowledgeable group of guys !! Anyone that lives in the greater Ottawa area should consider themselves fortunate to have access to such a great team!Highly recommended!

Ive come to this place twice and both times Ive been given terrible service. The first time I came to check on the rear brakes of my car and it cost me $166! They didnt even do anything except just look at my brakes and it cost me that much money. The second time, they lied to me by saying my transmission was leaking when it wasnt. I didnt see any problem yet they insisted that they fix it. I finally allowed them to do it and instead of fixing the problem, they just made it 10 times worse. Now, my transmission is leaking for real and its all their fault.I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone who wants to fix their car. If you want your car to suffer eternal problems, this is the place for you. On top of that, the manager has terrible customer service and sucks at dealing with people. Dont step foot in that place if you know whats good for you.

If you are looking for a place to take your car, you’ve found it. Stop looking and bring it to the Active Green and Ross on Bank Street. These guys get you the solution you desperately need, and they treat you right.After just getting a used (albeit beautiful) car, I had a bit of bad luck. The engine light was coming on, and the error code indicated that I needed a new coolant sensor. The folks at Active Green on Bank Street diagnosed that and fixed it up quickly.A few days after that, a totally unrelated problem manifested itself with one of my tires catching fire. It turned out that the brake calliper seized up.These guys were amazing in their response. They got the parts I needed in short order, and they cut me a great deal on the price as well (probably taking a huge cut on the fees for labour). Why? It was pretty obvious that they care about their customers.I am so grateful for their concern and their top notch services. I’m sure that you will be too if you put your car in their capable hands.

The staff members were very friendly and well mannered, and the technicians were very through but honest with what needed to be done to pass my annual inspection. The shop was quick in scheduling me in, used good quality parts for anything that had to be fixed and the price was easy on the wallet.I was specifically impressed with one of the guys at the desk, Warren. His outgoing personality and attention to detail put any worries I had to easy. Updating my old review (leaving it below to be fair), which was 5 stars. Unfortunately my second visit was the opposite of my first experience.**********Very friendly and professional. I think I dealt with Alex - super helpful and no issues with bringing my own tires to be put on rims and balanced. I really wanted to have them balanced as precisely as possible and they were done flawlessly.

Im out of town and drove 600km to get to Ottawa the night before only to wake up the next morning to find one of the tires low on air, not knowing where to go, I saw the shop as I was driving to find somewhere to get air. After waiting a few minutes for the attendant to get off the phone he informed me he is not able to put air into my wheel.He wanted to book the car in to get all 4 checked, obviously at a cost.Sadly this store makes their money on every opportunity it gets.If youre still reading this, in conclusion it reflects on the philosophy of perhaps the whole Green and Ross chain, Ill certainly think twice before I consider giving any of my money for the Big items.

You will find no better place for your car service. The staff are professional, efficient and honest. This is not my first visit here and it will certainly not be my last. I highly recommend you to take your business here also.

I recently bought a set of winter tires and rims for a new van. AGR had the best price by a decent margin (and I called basically every tire centre in Ottawa). Despite it being the end of season, they were able to have the tires and rims in within three days and had them installed in under an hour. Extra shout-out to Alex in sales, who was able to answer all my questions (e.g., whether or not to go -1 on the winter tires, whether to use car or truck tires, etc.), and even recommended the option that would save me the most money. All in all, a great experience.

My wife and I were stuck on New Years Eve with a blown fuel pump and little hope of safely getting back to Barrie the next day. Despite wanting to close at 3pm, Luc and his staff stayed on board until nearly 6:30 to ensure the job was done and our vehicle functioned perfectly. That kind of integrity and dedication is so hard to find these days; and it wasnt just the service to us. I had a chance to observe that same customer care being afforded to every single person who walked into this shop; new customer or old. I didnt have a good experience in the past where they told me my tire was beyond repair but I decided to give them a second chance and they did not disappoint. Had 2 of my rims cleaned and I asked them to show me what was causing the slow leak and the person working on my car obliged. I waited less than what I was originally told I would have to wait which I was happy about as well.

I went in to get my winter tires put on. The service was very good, but after I got back in my car, they had forgotten to put the key for my wheel lock back in the car. This would have been an issue if I had not noticed before leaving. This was a little scary, especially since I had recently gotten a flat tire.

Helpful advice with fair prices. Very impressed on the cleanliness.I felt safe and respected by all the staff that helped me out.

Came here to get my winter tires installed which was supposed to cost $100, but I ended up paying over $200 because my front breaks needed to be changed. They took complete advantage of me not knowing much about cars and made me doubt the fact that I knew nothing was wrong with my breaks. Guy on the phone also told me the breaks would be $70 but forgot to mention the charge of $13 for break fluid plus another $3 for.. the part? The staff seemed nice but not with good intentions.

Luc is a nice guy, he will treat you with respect, his employees do good (if slow) work, and theyll do it using parts youve already bought if thats the case.This is one of those shops, however, that sticks to the book for labour charges, meaning youll pay an extra few hundred bucks for no real reason other than thats what the manual says they should charge. Id stick with Bob Peters or Avenue Tire, where they charge labour based on how long it takes, rather than what they CAN charge.I wont be back.

Active Green+Ross was great to me. i was driving my mothers car and it broke down on the road. they had a tow truck come to pick up the car and brought it to the shop. they called after the found out the problem i gave them an ok to fix the issue and they even had it ready the same day!!. they also offered me a free inspection while the car was up on the hoist to give me details on what was wrong with is. i will definitely be sending my friends there. they were very informative, friendly, and efficient.

I went to pick up the car after oil and brake inspection. Luc Hamel and Alex Klonko both have done everything to report to me that my car makes major noise. I sure beleive the brake is old as the car is old. However, I asked why it didnt make noise when I drove it to their shop. I have been driving only as and when needed so it doesnt get used much anyways. They sure have any and every nuance they could find to confirm that brake made noise but how did they come to know that before driving. It is during their driving not realizing that they did the damage while testing, really took the lowest shot to scrap the last bit of my front brake and made it worst, so I couldnt continue in fear and hoped to hook me into fear to right away to replace it. Luc yelled and sugar coated Klonko used verbally abusive language to assail while as a last customer I waited for other battery customer to pick their cars. By the way I had paid my charges by then. If you can, keep away for all works, excpet batteries, where even if they want cannot screw you completely.
