My son has been bugging us to come here, ever since we randomly walked by in the summer, so we gave it a try today. I thought Id be bored, but I am happy I was wrong. This place is awesome!! From the model trains that the kids can drive to the slot cars they can race, the attention to detail is amazing. This is a labour of love and it shows. The owner is so friendly and knowledgeable, he even let my hubby in the control room and showed him how it all worked. We have been here almost 2 hours and the kids arent bored yet. Highly recommended for any train lovers!

My 2 year old is a little train enthusiast & we are soooo lucky to have found this absolute gem!!! We got there right at opening & he had a blast! The detail put into this set up was breathtaking. He was in awe & didn’t know where to start! The gentleman running the upstairs, I believe to be the owner was incredible with our little man. Unlimited tokens to manually control the trains & only $12 for adult entry! 10/10 recommend you make this a stop on your next Niagara trip! We literally had to pry him away after an hour & a half visit!

Just an amazing place to visit for kids or adults who love trains or miniature cities! the price is very reasonable considering similar attractions in Toronto cost $40 per person! i think they charge around 14$ for adult and kids free. the amount of engineering work that went into building this is just mind blowing and ingenious. my son loves this place since he was 2. now he is 4.5 and he would do anything we ask him to go there for visit. apart from being fun it definitely develops appreciation for programming and engineering for boys and girls. i would recommend taking kids of all ages if you want them to be passionate about technology.

Five stars just doesnt seem to be enough. Our grandson recently convinced us to give locomoland a try and I must say I was very impressed with our visit. The owner was so friendly and happy, always running around making sure everyone was taken care of. The effort this gentleman has put into what is, after talking to him, his pride and joy becomes more evident the longer you study his work. There is something going on everywhere, along with interactive stations, it is just amazing. It is fun for one and all. I would recommend this Niagara Falls gem to anyone.Oh yeah dont forget to try out the model race car track, it was so much fun even though the grandson beat me every time.

Found this through google, my son is a train fan so I thought hed like it. The place is really amazing. The owner clearly has a passion for trains and it shows in the place and when he talks to you. He spoke to us at length, showed my kid his master control system. Showed us how to operate the trains. The place is a delight. Its not too big or the biggest collection of trains but the minute details that are there is fun to watch. Tiny chickens, tiny bicycle riders, cameras on trains, the bus that follows the road signs and a car racing track with a model aircraft carrier, I think its a must visit for train fans of all ages. Only thing if that can be improved is if owner puts more details about each train, where its from, whats top speed and stuff. Great place to visit . Would recommend to all.

We were lucky enough to have the entire place to ourselves with the owner/makers full attention! He was so knowledgeable and took time to explain how everything worked. We loved to hear his stories of how he creates the scenes. It is really interactive, with loads of entertaining animations and endless detail. In addition to a massive city with different neighbourhoods and all types of trains, there is a 4 track car racing set which was so much fun, plus many complete lego sets (Sydney Opera House, Statue of Liberty...). Although we were there for about an hour, my 12 year old could have stayed much longer! This place was our favourite attraction i Niagara (after the Falls, of course)!

Pretty cool display and interactive trains and race cars/track. Our son had a great time. First time think Ive seen small cameras attached to the trains to show what they see as they drive around. Could use more options for toy cars/trains in the store section as our son naturally wanted to take a train/truck/car of some sort home as we left, and there werent that many on display.

We decided to go here while waiting for a table at a nearby restaurant and it was a great decision! The detail was astounding, the interactive aspect and cameras placed on the trains were really neat. The owner/creator of the display was so friendly and showed us how everything worked, you can definitely tell he’s passionate about his work. I suggest it for all ages, totally worth the small entry fee.

Im a kid again! And its all credit to Walt Wang, the genius creator of Locomoland, for putting a model train controller back in my hand. The best things in life are often unplanned. While making our way up Clifton Hill - Niagara’s most iconic street - my wife suggested we explore beyond the lights at the top of the hill. It was a good decision! Standing in front of the Locomoland entrance our eyes and ears caught the sights and sounds of model trains. This was something new. We had to check it out.The layout isnt big, its MASSIVE. The size and scope of the train layout stopped us in our tracks (pun fully intended). Some 70 HO scale trains of all types and eras ply their way across 700m of track through numerous cityscapes, each rendered true to life by Walt. The eye-popping attention to detail is nothing shy of staggering.Much has changed since I was a model railroader. Walt has installed control stations around the layout, each enabling operators to work the speed, sounds and direction of their train, and to view the ride onscreen through front, rear and side mounted cameras. If slot cars are your thing, Locomoland offers a 4-lane undulating figure-8 track where cars can change lanes in their bid to win. The gamers in your family can also test their skills on four giant iPhone game consoles. Now this is great value. Indulging your inner child at Locomoland costs just CAD$12. You can even book ahead to have the layout all to yourself or for your organized group to enjoy. Locomoland is a great party venue for youth clubs and birthday celebrations of every age (stools enable small ones to reach the controls).Make a new memory. If you’re looking for something new and exciting to enjoy next time your family visits Niagara Falls, check out Locomoland at the top of Clifton Hill (5020 Centre Street). You’ll soon discover Niagara memories are made of so much more than wax museums, scary rides and souvenir shops.David Shanks, Ottawa, Canada

My 8-yr old son and I stumbled upon this place just this past weekend and we were absolutely amazed by it! The miniature city with tons of moving trains and parts was delightful. We ended up spending close to two hours there having so much fun. The car racing tracy was a bonus! The staff, especially Rick was very helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. As other comments notes, the place is amazing. So much to see. You can control the trains, speed it up, slow it down, stop it and reverse it, control the sound and lights on train. The platform itself has embedded controls on the side (push on/off buttons) that turn other details in the model the visitor can control. There was one for paramedic doing CPR on freeway car crash in model, full on with traffic jam! Another that would starts a bicycle race. The model streets also have buses and bicycles running across, coming to full stop at red lights. They also have at the back, not part of the model, a car racing model track visitors can play (4 cars). The owner is very nice and knowledgeable, and his setup is a must see for all.

Came into town and saw this place. Thought it was great, Went home to get father in-law and came back at 5pm. Door was closed but said they were open and to ring bell or call for admission. So we did. Several rings and several calls and nobody came. 15 minutes standing in rain calling and nobody came. What a waste of time, parking money etc for a place that is not even open during their hours. My father in-law was excited to see this for his birthday.

This was a great and unexpected experience in Niagara Falls. The owner is really passionate about the trains and service. Its clear hes having so much fun and wants to share the joy with others.Model trains can be a little wonky and sometimes the software or tablets arent working perfectly but its hardly a problem worth removing a star for. Just note that it takes a few seconds between dropping a token and the trains starting. Also the trains move a little slower in reverse.

High-tech, great place, & diverse equipments! Especially, the engineers there designed these themselves! They know all the details, how to control a train, when a bus will speed up, and why the chickens are dancing, etc. And, there are lots of buttons so you can control them! No need to mention the fancy satellites to monitor the precise positions of each vehicle. For kids, there are educational programs and race cars for fun!A piece of artistry, just dont miss it, The LocomoLand!

The website should not allow for appointments if the place isnt going to be open. Maybe well get to see it another time. My son was really looking forward to it and was pretty disappointed.

Wonderful experience to see this amazing miniature but big world of trains. Rick was our tour guide - hes very passionate and gave us lots of cool insight into the intricate work that went into designing and creating and bringing everything to life. The trains themselves are varied designs as well as different speeds and many tracks. They have setup multiple control stations with cameras inside the trains that give us a first person view of the action of moving train. The controls allow you to start, stop and reverse direction of train. The controls also let you switch between the different trains. Really cool stuff. Amazing programing skills. The cars are also impressive in their use of magnets and gps to control their routes as well as start/stop action. Theres thousands of lamps, lights, traffic lights, lots of beautiful landscaping, flowers, furniture, buildings and miniature people. Some people have movements like riding bikes in loops, having a drink, taking photos or conducting trains. Alot of detail is present throughout. Theres a good mix of Lego buildings as well as model buildings. Every building has lights including the lego creations. There are interactive buttons that trigger events. They also have a large Carrera system slot car race track set up that we were able to play with. We learned lots of cool things and had fun too. Theres alot to see especially if you admire the attention to detail. Look forward to coming back. Thanks again to Rick for a great time.
